Negative experience: I had a horrible experience with the service in terms of booking appointments. My second appointment regarding cleansing of gums to resolve the infection was booked on 5th june, 2025. It was confirmed the day before by the reception on a text message. When I went to the clinic, they said there was no record of my appointment and that the dentist is busy. They gave me another appointment on 9th june. The dentist only insisted me to book the appointment on 5th june and I specially took time off work for the second check up and he is not available. If they didn't have free slots, they should nit have booked my appointment for 5th june. Its not easy to take time off work every day and show up for the appointment. Extremely inconsiderate and unprofessional behavior shown by the staff.

Fantastic experience: I have been attending smiles for many years. I moved from Bray 6 years ago and still make the 2 hour round trip for any dental work including 9 monthly cleans. Greg is my dentist and would not go anywhere else. The staff are always friendly and professional and would highly recommend smiles in Bray!!

He left my face in a right mess pulled teeth well to far back this was as st James's worth clinic I still had a tooth coming down and he never even knew about it no pray taken . Minimum care given even took braces off months early teeth rebounded n left with a small dental arch extremely disappointed with his work look out he works for another dentist now had to give 1 star to post this

Fantastic experience: Really great service, highly reccomned the dentist that I went to see, other times had my teeth cleaned at my previous dentist in Dublin 14 and was quite a painful experience, both physically and on my pocket! At Smiles Bray, the dentist was so gentle, but at the same time very thorough and paid great attention to detail, all the while putting me at ease over worrying about my dental health. I will 100% be back to keep up with my dental schedule.

Negative experience: Been a patient for years but lack of attention and poor customer service drove me away. 7 painful days of delay in sending referral email that took 20min to do after numerous calls.

Negative experience: After being a client for years I can't give anything other than a 1 star. My last experience with Smiles was quite frankly shocking. To top it off on my last appointment I was left sitting over 30 minutes waiting on the dentist to arrive for my appointment(while the dentist who was already late phoned in to get the coffee order while I sit there wasting my working day!) In 10 years I was never was taken on time but that particular episode was ridiculous. The treatment I received was horrendous no real care given when I explained how much pain I was in after the filling. In fairness they seen me after I explained how much pain I was in but I was told that it was my fault for not closing down enough at the time of the filling which resulted in inflammation-fair enough- but then the following week I was in agony and I went back to what I expected to be an appointment but no just a prescription left with reception( it didn't work as now the tooth needed a root canal or to be pulled). In the end I went to another dentist as I was too annoyed to return. The staff on reception are fantastic and I would give them 5 stars for sure. I hate to write such a negative review but I feel it is warranted.

Negative experience: you are liars you said you took me 130 and I paid 180 euros shame I will never come to you again

Fantastic experience: Second time going to see Justina she's absolutely amazing. No pain, if you have fear of needles she's the person to go to.

Negative experience: Got braces with smiles in bray and had a awful experience, braces were left on for nearly 5yrs with little or no care had 5min apps each month in which was told come back next month, aboustle joke that they didnt accept direct debts, girls at desk were so rude definitely would not recommend going there , my teeth are no were finished and had to just get braces removed other dentist cant belive they would remove in that situation, not to add but they cancelled apps at last min and would not been seen to for over a month! And last few weeks my dentist had left and got a new one that felt like he didnt want extra work loads!

Negative experience: Was just in Smiles Bray. No member of staff was wearing a mask...literally talking to each other and walking around with no masks. How is this acceptable in healthcare?

Fantastic experience: I just finished my invisalign treatment and I cannot recommend smiles in bray enough especially Justina. She was a fantastic dentist and made me feel so at ease. Justina was contactable throughout the process and answered all my questions via email and in person. I really enjoyed how friendly the staff were, from the lovely ladies at reception to both Isabella and Justina and all the dental nurses, they were so lovely. They just made the whole experience so pleasurable. The practice was ran so efficiently I never had to wait more than a couple mins past my appointment time. I honestly couldn’t recommend enough Smiles Bray and all the staff at all.

Fantastic experience: I have just finished my Invisalign treatment with Smiles in Bray. I first visited Smiles in August 2020 in which I originally dealt with Tara on reception she gave me great advice and was so friendly and helpful during the whole process. My dentist Justina was so open and easy to communicate with during the 8 months of my treatment. I met with Justina once a month during my treatment and it was such a nice experience every month. I would highly recommend Smiles and Justina to anyone looking for any dental treatment but especially Invisalign. I couldnt be happier with my results and delighted I put my trust in Justina to work her magic.

Fantastic experience: Just finished my invisalign treatment with smiles Dental Bray, I am very pleased with the outcome in a very short period of time. Dr. Justina was very informative throughout the treatment plan and always gave best advice on any such changes that needed to be done along the way. I did not think my teeth were too bad but once I saw the before and after pics it would shock you the difference. Treatment time for me was approximately 20 weeks.

Fantastic experience: I just recently finished my Invisalign program with Smiles Dental in Bray and I can't believe the results! My dentist Justina was absolutely amazing from start to finish and transformed my smile in little over 6 months. The practice were very accommodating with payment plans, booking appointments and seeing you quickly. I only started going to this practice due to the braces package they offered but I realise now the abundance of other treatments available too and I wouldn't go anywhere else! There truly is no better time to get braces than during the pandemic when you're wearing a mask everywhere you go anyway- Silver linings! Huge thanks to all the staff!

Negative experience: I've had 2 years of remedial dental work, bone grafts and surgery after a dentist at this practice left the tip of a medical instrument in my root canal. Despite almost 5 years of recurring issues and multible visits to this branch of Smiles (and multible dentists) the issue was never identified or resolved. However, 1 visit to another dentist outside the Smiles chain and it took 10 minutes to identified the issue and the cause of 5 years of problems.. Smiles didn't want to have anything to do with my complaint to them. they kept saying to talk to the dentist directly who no longer worked with them. they took no responsibility for not spotting the tip of the medical instrument over a 5 year period.. this whole experience has cost a small fortune, I had to chase down the original dentist who agreed to pay for my corrective surgery and I've had to undergo multiple painful surgeries and take countless days off work all at my own expense to fix an issue that started in Smiles Bray, but was never identified over a prolonged period allowing it to cause massive damage. This is my experience.. In my opinion if something goes wrong when you visit this smiles surgery, my experience is they walk away from it and say their dentists are responsible as individuals and not them as a practice. I have this fact documented in their communications with me. If I could give them less than 1 star I would.

Fantastic experience: 3 visits over the past 2 months. Each appointment was timely from when I contacted the practice. One was an emergency appt . They open next day on a Sunday. On the day the team fixed me up & I was very happy with their efficiency & follow on plan. Very pleasant dental staff & clear pricing.

Negative experience: Iv been with smiles bray for years. I currently have a severe toothache so I called them this morning requesting an emergency appointment and they told me they wont be taking me as a client anymore because I have a medical card!! They never even asked if I would like to make an appointment and pay for the treatment myself (which I was going to) or asked me what my situation was. It’s disgusting that you can get treated with upmost disrespect because you hold a medical card. I have a medical card because Im raising a child on my own while working part time and In full time education earning a business degree so I will be financially independent. This business thinks they’re too good for medical card holders that they just shut you down because they think you’re “too poor” (medical cards don’t even cover most treatments) I’ll be taking my business elsewhere and I’ll be suggesting every single person I know to do the same.

Positive experience: Eavan is the best dentist I've been to but my experience of the admin was so bad I had to leave for another dental practice. Some examples : They sent an incorrect med 2 (over and understated versions) repeatedly for 2019. I never received a retainer. They often just don't reply to emails or questions at all. Since March, between one visit and the next they introduced PPE charges. The charges themselves I've no issue with. However they didn't have information about it online, and they didn't tell me about it when making the appointment - despite their poster committing to price transparency.

Fantastic experience: I had a very great experience with my treatment in Smiles bray. I was so happy to know that they are open and offering treatment during the whole process of covid 19 lock down. The staff and dentist were very really friendly and relieved to see that they are maintaining very high hygiene standard. I would strongly recommend to people to visit and have the same experience as me.

Negative experience: Booked in for a check up on the 13th September 2019,before leaving the country for Japan for two months. Was told I had to get a filling and deep clean, I opted just for the filling. Immediately painful after anaesthetic wore off, thought I'd give it a few days. 6 days later its the exact same or nearly worse. Had to go to a dentist in Japan, the dentist took an xray and said it was not filled in properly, and filling had to be redone. It emerged that the cavity had not been fully removed either. Pain immediately went away. Returned to Ireland hoping to be refunded. I provided documents, receipts and a dental report detailing the treatment I had, and was given the run about by primarily by Dr Eavan Lawlor(who did the original "filling"), but I suspect the surgery was complicit in the carry on that went on. I had to get onto the dental complaints resolution service for help in securing back some costs of the treatment. My experience with Dr Eavan Lawlor leads me to recommend that nobody should receive treatment from her. She is a combative and aggressive woman, and I believe she should not be practicing. I find it contemptible that she thinks it's OK to angrily deride previous patients to the patient in front of her, and then to make comments about how "she likes it in the dark" and laugh, after the dental nurse asks does she need more light while doing a dental procedure. Disgusting behaviour. I received back less than half of the costs for the treatment related to Dr. Eavan Lawlors work 6 months later, and only because of the help from the dental complaints resolution service.

Negative experience: My son had a broken tooth and was in pain . Did the exam and told couldn't do it a consultant had to do it and sent him away for a week and half in pain and the when the appointment came around cancelled because the consultant wasn't available for another month . To a child in pain. Won't be returning and won't be recommending. If you want simple procedures done like cleaning go here otherwise go to a real dentist.

Negative experience: 4th visit but a little bit disappointed. Went in to have a filling replaced which fell out after two years. It was replaced by the dentist who put it in originally. Maybe it was extremely difficult it was an extremely uncomfortable experience & 5 days later in my mouth still aches. I also hated the fact that the dentist had long hair which was not tied back and hung in my face the whole way through the procedure, which took over 40 minutes. I will go back but I certainly will try hard to avoid that dentist again. The filling cost €120 that didn’t include any other services.

Negative experience: *reply* you processed a refund? For my full original veneer operation? So now your publicly lying? I asked for a receipt of the refund. Got nothing. Eavan your dentist emailed me saying she forgot to send the money. Still nothing. And I already emailed you all of this... still no reply... I'll send this public post to my lawyer. I got veneers here. One repeatedly fell out. They admitted; once putting on the wrong glue! And only when I went to another dentist did that dentist tell me by lower tooth was knocking off that veneer. An obvious issue that the dentist in Bray did not see. They then offered to refund me the money I paid the other dentist... that was nearly 2 years ago...

Negative experience: Cancelled appointment on 2 occasions with less than 2 hours notice, Absolutely shocking behaviour, If you are looking for a dentist to waste your time & money then this is the place for you !!
