Fantastic experience: Very welcoming and good treatment, Would recommend

Fantastic experience: I had a very good experience on a recent visit to dental hygenist Grace. Her attention to detail was good and I left with some very clean teeth indeed. She had some very good advice on how best to go about cleaning my wisdom teeth. This and my last visit with Grace have been my best experiences with a hygenist.

Fantastic experience: Have since a child attended Dentists on Harley Street & Wimpol Street in London which are famous for dentistry worldwide, having lots of work done to my teeth spanning a period of 20years. On arriving to Dublin some 25years ago I struggled to find a Dentist who could match the expertise and experience of the Dentists I attended as a child and a young adult - I have been attending Harcourt Street practise for nearly 20years at this stage, the Dentistry and staff at this practise have at all times been excellent and I have always recommended the service, my wife also attends and our daughter will soon be attending also cannot attest strong enough to the standard and professionalism always received. Five Stars from me !!!!!!!

I specifically chose Mary ahead of my wedding day and she did not disappoint. She transformed my teeth -new veneers, teeth whitening & replaced old cavities with nice, new white ones! It has given me the confidence to smile/laugh without hesitation. Mary and her practice dedicate themselves to their patients – when a temporary cap fell out (silly apple!) she took an emergency call on the weekend and had me sorted within hours. Negative experience: By far the worst experience I had with a dentist in Ireland, even if the intentions were good. The first thing I'm going to point out is that the dentist doesn't know how to communicate. In 2021, I was treated for periodontitis, but I doubt that even back then it was the right treatment. The doctor diagnosed me with periodontitis due to inflamed gums and some teeth mobility. I accepted the treatment and I was thankful that she tried her best to help me out. I returned in 2023, as the time in between I had been visiting other dentists out of Ireland, just for the check up and cleaning and she completely terrorized me that I'm losing my teeth from periodontitis and that I need to see a specialist. The doctor shouted at me and there was zero empathy. I was never given the answers to the questions I was asking as I had no other signs of inflamed gums, bone loss, or anything else related with periodontitis. Note also that there was no x-ray done, and the diagnosis was solely based on physical examination. The x-ray was only done when I requested it to visit another dentist. Long story short, after visiting two other dentists to check if I have periodontitis, I have confirmed that I don't have it and that my teeth mobility is due to the fact that I clench my jaw and I need a mouth guard during the night to not grind my teeth. I wrote an email to the doctor explaining what is happening, and again she refused to believe this diagnosis. Completely unprofessional, unempathetic, rude, and doesn't take the time to make a proper diagnosis or listen to the patient.

Positive experience: I found the treatment great, it brightened up my teeth. It was completely painless which I was delighted about as I do suffer with sensitivity and cant use other whitening treatments. It didn't take long and could see immediate results. Fantastic experience: I recently attended the hygienist at the clinic. She was friendly and made me feel very comfortable and did a fantastic job cleaning my teeth. I’ll be back to her again for my 6 month cleaning for sure!

Fantastic experience: Myself and my family have been attending HHDP for many years now. I am a nervous patient and have always been looked after so well both in terms of the dental treatment but also in managing my fear of it. This has reduced my reluctance to go for regular check up's and cleaning which in turn has reduced the amount of treatment I have required. A win win!. I was also keen to make sure my children didn't share my fears and I am happy to say, they have no hesitancy around their trips to the dentist. Dr Mary Reddy is knowledgeable, efficient and really gentle and is equally equipped to deal superbly with adults and children. I wouldn't and won't go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I've been attending Mary's practice for years. I'm a very nervous patient and she and her team always manage to calm my nerves. Very professional. Had work completed recently and am very happy with the results. I have no hesitation recommending this practice for dental work.

Negative experience: My advice - get a second opinion. I visited at the end of October with an infected tooth due to impaction from a wisdom tooth. At this time I was also informed the need for 9 fillings. Previously in my 35 years, I have had 1 filling. I was quite overwhelmed that my teeth were in such bad nick, so went ahead with 4 fillings over the next few weeks. The last appointment I had a terrible reaction to the local anaesthetic, causing me to be dizzy for the next 24 hours, so I visited a dentist closer to home in case of any further reaction. They couldn't see the need for any more fillings, I'm now doubting the need for the first 4 I went ahead with. I realise that some dentists may have different approaches, but this seems quite extreme. It's probably common sense but I'd urge anyone to get a second opinion.

Negative experience: Painful experience with the hygienists, reception unfriendly, and most importantly overpriced. Took second opinion, and was priced half then was told earlier. Although professional dentist.

Fantastic experience: A Dentist with great location nice staff. Came here for a checkup and clean my teeth. Although I have a anxiety problem with dentist the hygienist, Karen, did a great job to put my anxiety at bay. She did a great work. Checkup was hasty with the dentist but managed to answer all my questions. Wish the prices would be lower .
