Fantastic experience: Ok there is no free lunch and there's no cheap dentist..and.. arguably..nor should there be...it is healthcare afterall..and good practitioners deserve a good reward. I'm fortunate enough to be able to pay...and for 160euro for a filling..I'm happy..I'm happy the tooth is cared for and was done with calm professional efficiency by Dr. Collazo close to home....great service. Recommended without hesitation.

Fantastic experience: I recently had my filling done by Gráinne. 10/10 experience the staff were all so friendly and polite. The dentist and dental assistant had a good work flow, chatty and interesting and kept me involved in the conversation. The appointment and following steps were all explained in detail before going ahead. My comfort was made priority. the filling turned out excellent!! it looks so similar to my natural tooth colour, shape and biting surface. I’m very happy, couldn’t recommend Gráinne enough!!

Grainne was absolutely amazing and made me feel relaxed and comfortable the whole time. Reception staff were so friendly and welcoming too. Would highly recommend this clinic.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ali Reza Afrasiabi is a 21st century hero and I could not recommend him more highly. Days before a holiday out of the country, I started to have bad tooth pain, got X-rays at another dental practice and was told I would need a root canal. After reading that practice’s reviews and talking with colleagues who had gone there, I didn’t feel comfortable getting the procedure done with that dental practice and began frantically ringing around until I stumbled upon Smiles Dental on South Anne Street. I was informed by the receptionist that they had a root canal specialist (Dr. Ali) and would be able to see me before my holiday. Dr. Ali was very patient with me when I met him for my consultation and answered all of my (many) questions thoroughly until I was satisfied and felt that I understood everything. I had the first part of my root canal done the following day, the day before my holiday. I did not experience any pain at all during or after the procedure and was able to go away and enjoy my trip with no issues. The second part of the root canal was completed today and I have once again experienced no pain during or after the procedure. I will say that the cost of the root canal is a lot more than the listed price at other dental practices. However, after reading and hearing dozens of root canal horror stories I’ve zero regrets about paying more here. Dr. Ali is a specialist after all and the way he performs the root canal procedure, with several X-rays the whole way through to ensure the job is done properly, justifies the cost. I was extremely nervous and stressed going into this and am happy to say that everything went smoothly and I will be coming back to Smiles Dental South Anne Street for all future and procedures.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding work done over two sessions by Dr. Ali Afrasiabi. Tooth was in a very bad shape, but the aim was to save it and after the huge effort to get the rooth canal treatment complete, the tooth was rebuilt and now it looks like new.

Fantastic experience: I decided to go to this Smiles Dentist clinic after the great treatment I received just opposite the street at Smiles Orthodontics. I was referred to Dr Bashara for an implant procedure. The whole process took exactly 4 months from initial consultation to the final implant installation. Dr. Bashara is both friendly and professional, and was always punctual for my appointments. I'm very satisfied with the process and results. The other staff at the clinic were also approachable and helpful.

Fantastic experience: Re- treatment inflammation root canal by microscopic. I would like to expressed thankful for the endodontist Dr.Ali Afrasiabi is provided the high quality re-treatment of the root canal and restored tooth that was half of broken a little bit lower gum before. I recommend the Dr Ali Afrasiabi as the professional endodontist. The own tooth is always better.

Fantastic experience: In my life journey, I haven't visited the dentist frequently, perhaps only four times in total over 48 years. So, I was a bit nervous at first. I needed to undergo a root canal cleaning and crown procedure. However, I must say, the dentist Ali Reza Afrasiabi and his assistant were incredibly gentle, kind, and professional. I didn't experience any pain at all; it felt more like a massage session! Thank you, and I'll see you in the next session. P.S. The other staff, including the receptionist, were also very nice and professional.

Most dentists don't even want to do it but this was all done under 10 mins. Negative experience: Have used their at home teeth whitening products successfully before but this time they seem to have changed the formula and the new gels didn’t work at all. While the receptionist seemed interested in helping me get to the bottom of the problem, the dentist never bothered returning my calls. Wouldn’t waste your money on a product that doesn’t work.

Negative experience: I am very disappointed on how unprofessional they are. I normally don't leave negative reviews online, but in this case I feel like it is my right to highlight what happened. I went for an urgent root canal in January, as I was in sever pain and was a Saturday Smile Dental seemed to be ok. Doctor Chris took care of it, and as I was 8 months pregnant he suggested to go back and complete the work after giving birth. He highlighted the fact that part of the work would have been paid starting from that first day which means that if I wanted to save money it would have been good for me to go back to them and complete the work and the payment (total amount for a root canal is 700€ - I first paid 150€). After 3 months that tooth broke in vertical, I went back and it seemed like I was not in the system for that day, nor anyhting that happened in January seemed to be in their records. I have been visited from another doctor which gave me another appointment to the next Monday, assuring me that the payment of 700€ had to be completed (which means another 550€). In the afternoon the reception sent me an email saying that we had to cancel the Monday appointment and that the price is now 1100€ instead of the regular 700€, the reason is that mine is a "complex situation, that only Dr. Ali could take care of it as the other doctors might make mistakes "and for this reason they increased the payment of 400€. Now:it never happened to me that the price increases this way especially after I have been visited from two other doctors and it was never mentioned that mine was a complicated situation. Im horrified I have wasted 200€ and I am now left with a broken tooth and no appointment. Go somewhere else!!

Fantastic experience: I want to thank Dr. Ali for taking such good care of my teeth and oral health and for being proactive rather than waiting for something to go wrong. I've been going to Smiles South Anne Street for years and am sorry I didn't think of leaving a review before because I've had only good experiences. Ali treats my mouth so gently and when he is injecting he never rushes and as a result it's painless. This evening he filled between the upper gum and the top of my two eye teeth and finished it off so that cosmetically it's better than ever. I'm really happy with it, thanks a million Ali. Also, Rebecca is fantastic and always efficient and warm.

Positive experience: Torn on this one. Was referred in for a wisdom tooth extraction that the Ortho said should be easy and routine. Dentist when I got in said it would have to be surgical with stitches etc and it would be 250 Euro. Having had surgical extractions before I can't say I was overly surprised. My wisdom teeth are the worst Anyway, tooth has to come out and I've had wisdom teeth cause problems before so fine, nod smile, lets get this done. Except to my shock the tooth doesn't need any surgical extraction, he numbs the area and the tooth just pops out. Fused root straight in. 20 seconds. No stitches, no nothing needed. Bite down and on your way. Whole process was maybe ten minutes. And I'm delighted cause it was actually a routine extraction not surgical. In fact it was the quickest, easiest routine extraction I've ever had. The dentist knew his stuff. Only problem is when I get down to reception and with a numb mouth full of blood, find I'm still being charged for a surgical extraction. And short of splattering the reception with blood because I'm having trouble speaking, I sort of angry pay and leave. Having got home I'm half incensed because I feel I was overcharged for a routine extraction and couldn't say anything about it, but the dentist was exceptionally good and when I was booking reception was fantastic, so 3 stars because hey, maybe it was clerical error and unintentional, but the work was good and I've no swelling or pain.

Fantastic experience: This is the best dental practice I have ever experienced. I have gone from dental phobia to feeling calm - like I am meeting with friends. Dr Ali has a magic touch - his work is impeccable and the front office team from Rabecca to all the staff makes going to the dentist - like not going to the dentist which is how I like it.

Negative experience: 12 minutes for scale and polish. As in, I take more time for my daily cleaning routine. Despite the fact of obviously being in a rush, the dentist had found the time to tell me about two cavities that needed to be treated. Needless to say, the other dentist I have then consulted after this appointment told me that there were no cavities in need of treatment. Appalling experience

Fantastic experience: Broke a filling and was able to source an emergency consultation within the hour. In and out within 30 minutes and a tidy job was done at a reasonable price. Very impressive service and lovely staff.

Fantastic experience: I actually enjoy going to the dentist now?? I, like many others, have always hated the dentist. Well, I put off going for five years straight and only made an appointment in 2021 as I saw I needed some fillings. I was utterly terrified going, chickened out of my first appointment, but made it to the second. I was seen by Dr. Chris Coakley and he has completely changed my perception of the dentist. I've been to see him three times now and each time my fillings were completely painless and he has been extremely patient, professional and caring. The dental nurses there are so lovely aswell. Before I'd have a sleepless night the day before a dentist appointment and now it doesn't phase me. I'm so happy I found Smiles.

Fantastic experience: I would like to say today’s visit was one of my best experiences with a dental clinic in a while! From the pleasant ladies at reception, Tracy and Rebecca, to my dentist herself, I was met with great hospitality and manners. Dr Rawan was very thorough and I have to say, this was the first time that I didn’t feel the needle at all which I was so pleased with as injections used to always put me off of going to the dentist! Having Rafael the nurse by the dentist’s side the entire time, who was always very prompt with the suction insuring water wasn’t pooling in my mouth, made the experience all the more pleasant! Negative experience: Not one for reviews but the level of dental negligence in this place deserves others to be made aware. After making an appointment, I had to wait 60 mins until I was seen. The dentist, Mustafa took some initial X-Rays and investigated the cause of my pain. After some time, he told me he was unable to determine the cause of pain, and I required a full radiograph head X ray, which cost an additional 30euro. After this, he informed me I required 3 fillings which immediately sent alarm bells ringing. I declined his offer to perform on me then and there, paid and left. The next day I visited 2 other dentists in Dublin who both confirmed to me that all I had was a minor infection that required 3 days of anti-biotics. I'm glad I did not proceed with Smiles as they would have ruined 3 perfectly good teeth. Take my advice and go somewhere else. **update** Contacted them three times as per response below and still haven't received a response, clearly saying patient feedback is important to them is a lie.

Fantastic experience: I went in to the periodontist yesterday to remove a gum growth. The receptionist was nice and chatty felt very comfortable. The surgeon was very good. He already had my referral from my previous dentist. Whole surgery procedure took 15 minutes at most ,super fast, and pain was zero. Would go back again to him if I have any more issues like this.

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience, 6 months ago I had a gum surgery done by Dr Bashara and assist by Dr Ali I had a severe gum problem and was bleeding too much, also it looks bad. Dr Bashara took good care of it, though I was very scared but he explained to me each and every step carefully and the surgery was also painless. Today after 6 months I went back to him for cleaning, he was happy with the result and so am I. I would highly recommend them. They are good very professional and know exactly how to take care of your teeth.

Fantastic experience: I’m such a nervous person about going to the dentist but having been here twice now I’m never going to anyone again except Dr Bashara. He is outstanding. My first visit was to get a wisdom tooth removed . I was so worried I put it off for ages and it was already cracked and broken. My nervousness was such that I had to leave and walk around the block and go back in. I cannot believe how gentle he is and such a lovely pleasant man and unbelievably good dentist . I went for the second time today for a filling I’d equally put off for years. A previous dentist told me I’d need expensive root canal but it was sorted here in no time , pain free and didn’t break the bank. . Rebecca the receptionist is so lovely and patient and welcoming. I’ve no idea what the negative reviews are about - place is spotless! My teeth are sorted and I’m not even worried about anything in the future as I’d go back here in a shot.

Negative experience: Nice staff, but not such a great service. I went for teeth cleaning and my teeth are far from clean. I can't see any difference, there's still tartar at the back of my teeth. Thanks for nothing.

The lady who looked after me she is an amazing dentist, she advised me very well and took enough time to examine and cleaned so nicely. Receptionist lady was friendly and welcoming. Negative experience: I went in for a routine check up and a clean. The entire appointment was over in 15 minutes. That’s hardly what I would call thorough.

Fantastic experience: Dr Rawan was absolutely lovely, she made sure I wasn't in any pain and answered all my questions while offering helpful advice and explanations. The lady on reception was also so lovely and friendly.

Negative experience: Really disappointed with the service. Have attempted to make an appointment twice and each time my appointment was lost. Would not go there again if this is how they handle just the scheduling of their clients.

Fantastic experience: Took me in for emergency work on 3 hours notice, on a Friday afternoon. Inexpensive, professional, pain-free. Crown fell off on a caramel candy. Hotel found Smiles for me, and presto. Also, Rebecca the receptionist is very fun.

Fantastic experience: I had just arrived from Canada when a tooth with an old filling started acting up on me. I got a same day appointment at Smiles Saint Anne where Nikki took X-rays to diagnose the cause of the pain (as well as contacting my dentist back in Canada to confirm the diagnosis). She recommended a partial crown to fix the cracked tooth but as I was flying out the next morning I did not have the time for this full procedure, so she then did a gentle and efficient job of replacing the errant filling (with just the right amount of freezing). She also sent me an email with the X-ray and a complete description of the work that she had done on the tooth for when I do get the partial crown done to deal with cracked tooth. The tooth has been perfect as I continue on my travels through Europe. I highly recommend Smiles Saint Anne!

Negative experience: Paid 140€ for something they said was urgent and appeared to be a complete failure according to all the dentists i went to see months after. They put something into a sore tooth but too close to the nerve, which result in inflamation and infection. I do not recommend this stupid businessmen that do not listen to patients and know nothing about health

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Smiles , especially if you are a dentist phobe like I was, was made to feel completely as ease by lovely staff . Nicky who looked after me was very professional and could not be more helpful even seeing me for an emergency appointment. All treatments I've had here have been the most pleasant an experience you can have at a dentist compared with other ones I've been to . Fantastic experience: As a very nervous patient a trip to dentist is the last place I want to go, that has now changed due to a most wonderful dentist named Corina in Smiles, South Anne St. On arriving, Rebecca greeted me with a warm friendly smile & completely put me at ease. The clinic was very busy at the time and She gave the same welcome and time as best she could to all patients. Exceptional customer care, an asset to any company. Before I was even seen by the dentist I was very impressed and relaxed. After a lengthy discussion and check up with Corina (Dentist), a detailed plan was laid out for me which included treatments and cost. The following week I came back to start my treatment (which is still ongoing) Corina was absolutely fantastic, a pleasure to deal with, professional, informative and gentle. Highly recommend both Corina and Smiles ,South Anne street for making my visits to the dreaded dentist somehow pleasant ones. 5 stars from me.

Negative experience: Had some fillings and a scale and polish recently, the fillings were ok but the cleaning was the worst I have ever had in my life. It is not serious that they charge 55 euros for a cleaning that was made in a hurry and took no more than 5 min. Had to go to another dentist to complete it. I won’t go back.

Negative experience: Will never go there again. I had a X-ray check, and the doctor didn't even explain to me what's my problem. He was so hurry to leave. Just gave me a very brief check, and told me I need 5 fillings. After visiting other clinics, it turned out my problem is not about fillings, I need root canal treatment. If I follow his advice, my tooth problem will be worse.

Negative experience: Don't go here. Had to go twice for them to tell me what I needed done. Both times completely different information. Third time a week later they were going to extract my tooth. She hadn't looked at X-rays until after I arrived. Then started but in the middle of it the anaesthetic didn't work so had to stop. I was supposed to go back to work but had to take the day off because of the immense pain. This whole pointless procedure was over the course of three weeks while I was in constant pain and was an absolute waste of my time. Honestly such terrible service, the worst I've experienced anywhere in my life. They literally only made the problem worse.

Fantastic experience: Smiles on South Anne Street are great! I go here for general dentistry, my annual check-ups, scale and polish, etc. and recently I had to attend for an infection under one of my baby teeth that has clung on determinedly for the last two decades. They got me in super quick for an exam, which only cost €40. They prescribed antibiotics, and said that if it didn't clear up, to pop back and they'd have to extract it, but extraction would be the last resort. I called for an appointment when a piece of the same tooth chipped off, and saw the same dentist. She was great, and explained everything she was going to do, and suggested that we do my annual scale and polish while we were waiting on the numbing injection to do its work. I agreed, and within half an hour I had my teeth gleaming, and my problematic tooth removed. She also made a point of saying that if I was in pain at any point that I should raise my left hand and she'd stop immediately, but because she was so careful and so quick at what she did, I didn't need to do that. I'd highly recommend Smiles. They're quick, inexpensive, explain things clearly and concisely, and sorted my problem with minimal fuss.

Negative experience: Very rude staff there. I was late for my appointment and came in to reschedule it and the receptionist said "I told you not to come".

Fantastic experience: Great experience! Very nice and clean clinic, friendly and competent staff.

Negative experience: I first went here about two years ago and I liked the dentist there but she moved on. Since then, I have noticed there seems to be a high turnaround of staff. Anyway, I went in on 11th Dec for my 6 month check-up and was told I needed a deep clean and a filling replacement. Got the deep clean and went back on 19th Dec for the filling replacement. It felt bit rough but could not be 100% sure as my whole mouth and tongue were still really numb. The dentist assured me it was fine, but that the tooth might be a bit sensitive for a few days. I thought nothing more of it until WHAM! Xmas night I was in excruciating pain. Took what painkillers I had at home (nothing was open given the time of year and the Monday was Boxing Day (observed ) as the real Boxing Day was on a Saturday this year.). I only had panadol and Difene, but these weren't very effective against the level of pain I experienced.. It was Blue Murder and went on for 5 days. I went back to the dentist and didn't get an ounce of sympathy or concern. I told her that the filling seemed a bit high and rough as well. She said there was no sign of infection but took an X-ray anyway. X-ray showed no sign of infection. she said I might need root canal if the pain didn't settle down. (it was marginally better by the Tuesday when I went in thanks to using clove gel.) But she fixed up the filling. It took her ages. I could tell she was getting annoyed as I kept saying it still wasn't right but I wasn't leaving until it was, given the money I'd already paid. She said she didn't want to drill any more in case it widened the space between the two teeth and food might get stuck. {not sure if this was a genuine reason or a cop-out - you have to hope for the best, though) but then used one of this flat metal-like strips that dentists use for flossing. This done the job and the filling seemed ok after that. Also the pain vanished and i have not had any pain since. So I have to assume that I don't actually need root canal surgery and the pain experienced was from disturbing the nerves and the inexpert job she done of putting in the filling first time round. When i left, I realized that she had forgotten to give my the prescription for the pain- killers which I had asked for. (She didn't offer: I had to ask for this.) Don't know how she managed that but DID remember to give me a print -out of an estimate for root canal work. Priorities! Come to think of it - if she thought there was any chance of "sensitivity" (understatment!) in the first place, she should have wrote out a prescription the first time I was in so that I could have it ready if needed, especially given that it was Xmas. I went back in and was handed it with a sour look. I would also like to point out that what an earlier reviewer posted about the water drain thing that they flow into your mouth being faulty is still the case. I got sloshed as well. How many years have they been waiting to get it fixed? It's a very small place. The treatment areas don't have doors or walls - only partitions about oxter-high and I'm only 5' 2". So, yes you can SEE and HEAR everything. Not very reassuring for nervous patients. I will never go back.
