Fantastic experience: The notion of anxiety pre dental visit does not even enter your sub conscious pre a visit to Ashgrove dental clinic. The team are amazing from Marie and Maggie front of house to Johnny and Mary who I have received treatment from. Johnny is a Wizard and I drive 130kms to attend Ashgrove as I wouldn’t even consider another dental practice. I have had extensive work done and will remain with Ashgrove as they are the best at what they do in my opinion

Fantastic experience: I cannot Thank Dr Johhney Fearon enough for the amazing transformation he did on a full mouth of botched Crownes I had done with another dentist, he removed everyone of them and FIXED the underlying problems , which were plenty , a year after starting till now he replaced the most beautiful smile back for me , I thought I’d never see , the comparison is like nite an day , the staff are so comforting and nurses are amazing ,,, I would not be where I am today , seriously, Thank you all so much

Negative experience: Were looking for kids brackets. Payed 120e for consultation with Dr Fearon ... which took less then 10min...(And not very informative) and when I asked some information re brackets...just passed me some leaflets..and consultation were ended.

Fantastic experience: When I first came to the practice I had an ongoing issue of bleeding teeth and I had gone to various dentists to have this resolved but to no avail. After meeting with Johnny Fearon at a social event with the Chamber of Commerce he suggested that I book in an appointment with Ashgrove Dental and they got to work on me straight away. It turned out that I had a serious dental issue in that plaque had built up under my gums and it had to be removed professionally. The process took a few months and after this process I have not only not had a recurrence of my bleeding teeth but my gums have started to reform and the ongoing bleeding has receded. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough and it was my pleasure to be able to write this review!

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Ashgrove Dental Clinic highly enough. My teeth would present a challenge to anyone but having been a patient of Dr. Fearon for over two years now I have only the highest praise for him and indeed all staff at Ashgrove. Everyone there is both friendly and highly professional and I am delighted with the complex work I have had completed successfully there - implants, crowns and other repairs. If you need skilled prosthodontic work done then this is definitely the clinic to attend. I travel from Dublin and would happily travel even further if necessary. In addition, Dr Fearon (Johnny) is one of the most genuinely kind people you're ever going to meet. The best thing I ever did was take my troublesome teeth to Ashgrove. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I haven't been to a dentist in nearly 20 years due to fear/cowardice.Recently broke a tooth so had no option but to deal with it.I met with Johnny in Jan and explained my anxiety, he could not have handled it any better and relaxed me immediately.I have had 2 extractions,fillings and bridge work completed since.The service was extremely professional and friendly throughout and more importantly my absolute fear of dentists is over with. Could not recommend highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I had 2 appointments with Ashgrove Dental today, one for me and one for my son. Our experience has been nothing but positive. To the point I wanted to share that. I find all the staff friendly and utterly professional. They are timely and attentive. I was a bit shocked seeing another recent review and was thinking that could not have been this practice Not sure what that was about - I have had several procedures with Ashgrove and all have been extremely successful - to the point my family and friends go here and we've never had a bad experience. Thanks for the work done today for my son and myself - always treated with care and professionalism.

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience with Johnny Fearon and I would not recommend him or Ashgrove Dental to anyone. I had an appointment with Johnny on March 15th 2024 to fix a chip on my front tooth. Johnny has repaired this chip for me on a number of occasions. At reception, I was told the repair was €180. I paid the bill and asked to use the bathroom. As I looked at my tooth in the bathroom, I could see the tooth shape was not as I expected. I went out and asked the receptionist if I could speak to Johnny. I waited in the waiting area. Johnny arrived and asked me what the problem was. I said I was not happy with the shape of the tooth and tried to show him, but he immediately stood up and said “I don’t have time for this nonsense today, GET OUT!”. I was in complete shock that he was shouting at me, so I froze and mumbled “What do you mean?”. He repeated “Stand up and GET OUT.” I immediately walked towards the door and looked at the receptionist and asked “What is going on?”. She stared at me also in shock. Johnny then repeated “GET OUT!”. I walked out the door which he slammed behind me. I immediately burst into tears. I have never been so disrespected and humiliated in my life. I rang my partner who returned to the dentist with me about 30 minutes later. We asked to speak to Johnny and were told he was not available. The receptionist apologised and immediately said she would give me a full refund, but could not give any explanation for his outrageous outburst. I will add that I am 3 months pregnant, which Johnny was aware of. He has caused unnecessary upset and distress. I have always been fond of Johnny, as have my friends and family, and have been attending Ashgrove for years. I am shocked at what happened today. I have reported Johnny to all relevant authority’s as I don’t want someone else to go through what I experienced today. Really disappointing.

Fantastic experience: Marie,Dental Receptionist is an exceptional receptionist.She makes one feel welcome from the moment you step inside. Maggie,Dental Nurse is also extremly friendly and one feels totally relaxed in the dental chair with her detail to attention. Dr.Johhny Fearon is an excellent speciliast proshodontist,who leaves one feeling completely at ease whilst receiving treatment and is very friendly with a lovely personality,and with so much patience with his patients. Altogether,a really good practice to attend if in need of dental treatment. Highly recommended to everyone.

Negative experience: My husband got a filling here which caused nerve damage - his tongue was numb for months and still not right! I got a filling and my tooth has been sore every time I eat or floss, where it wasn’t sore before. I rang about both problems and there was no sense of helping to fix the mistakes they made! I couldn’t believe their reaction to 2 bad fillings. Best avoided! My husband got his tootle looked at by another dentist and hopefully he will get feeling back in his tongue. That filling had to be filed down as the bite wasn’t correct either. My husband did call and was told it would settle down, this is not a lie.

Fantastic experience: I'm a very nervous dental patient but both my dentist and hygienist in Ashgrove are very gentle and understanding. I really appreciate how they have helped to reduce my fear and anxiety.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this dentist especially if you are a bad nervous patient like myself. I had a lot to get done and I was offered to get everything done in the one day. I hesitated because I hate pain and needles but Johnny reassured me I was not going to be in pain. I went ahead with it and I could not thank them enough. Johnny and the 2 nurses were so kind and friendly they all made me feel so relaxed and at ease. I did not feel Any pain at all during the procedure and i am so happy with the result. First dentist i have ever been to that were so friendly and genuinely nice. I most definitely will be staying with this dentist for the future.

Fantastic experience: As as teenager I was told I couldn't get braces that it would involve getting my jaw broken (which they were not willing to do). Fast forward many years later, I attended a local dentist in Naas and to say he put the fear of god in me is an understatement. I wanted to get my teeth straightened but my fear was unbelievable I did my research and took my chances with Ashgrove Dental. I went for my first consult and immediately felt welcomed, relaxed and comfortable. Johnny told me it could be done my teeth could be straightened so the work began. Got my palete expander for 8 weeks then my first fixture of my braces. The attention to detail from Johnny and all the girls was just incredible. So after a year and a half start to finish I finally got the teeth that I always longed for. I could not recommend highly enough especially if you are a nervous patient like me. I am now a regular. Fantastic experience: I went to Johnny for new front crowns and I am thrilled with the results. It wasn’t just a case of slapping on a fresh pair! We spent some time getting the gum line ready with temp crowns, ensuring the correct colour and shape. Very precise and dedicated work.
