Fantastic experience: Have been attending this dental clinic for many years. Had pain for two days, called the clinic and they fit me in for a cancellation appointment within three hours of calling. Pat O’Brien was brilliant and would highly recommend him & his team! He assessed my wisdom tooth and said it was impacting so extracted it there and then. Pain free and quick!! Staff all extremely pleasant and kind throughout the whole process. They even cancelled the booking that I made for next week for my routine biannual check up once they called me about the cancellation which saved me having to cancel it!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Patrick O Brien is always a pleasure to deal with. Communicates all treatment options, prices etc. thoroughly in advance and is a very skilled and efficient dentist. I have had numerous different treatments and all have stood the test of time. If you are considering implants, crowns or any other complex work, Dr. Patrick O'Brien is your man. The team use hi-tech scanners to explain the more complex treatments to you on an interactive screen. Dr. John was also excellent when I had a filling and clean done with him in March. The rest of the front of house & assisting team are all very pleasant and professional. Thanks guys 5 stars to all

Fantastic experience: Wisdom tooth extraction with Dr Patrick O' Brien this morning which took less than a minute. I was so impressed at how quick and painless this was especially as I was very nervous going in.

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment with Dr hannah today to say she was lovely is an understatement I was so nervous today and embarrassed of my teeth and she put me at ease after 5 minutes of talking to her, for years I put of sorting my teeth wish I found this practice years ago even down to the receptionist thank you so much

Negative experience: got a wisdom tooth extracted. was told it was complex extraction and required €250. Whole procedure took 2 to 5 min. xray was also done. all together €290. I had more complex extraction done by the other dentist practises in the past with half of the cost so if coming for extraction, be ready to pay upto €300 and wait 30 min for the appointment.

Fantastic experience: I had such a positive experience with Monread Dental. From the communication, accommodations and professional service. I will be using them going forward as I have some dental work that needs attending however my previous dentist retired and I am so glad I found them.

Negative experience: Worst service I’ve experience in a good while so I will explain: 1. Charging cancellation fee of €40 when their website does not specify this amount anywhere. 2. Went personally to pay the fee and they still emailed me days later asking me for payment! Don’t they have a system that says i paid already? They issued me with an invoice so don’t they keep a copy of it themselves?! You are obliged to respect their time when booking and attending, but when it comes to your appointment they make you wait over 30 minutes over from actual booking time. Have been to this dental kip a couple of times but never again! Parking is also limited because there are more businesses there and it’s quite busy, so don’t even bother guys. I would say: get your business together and show some respect for your patients. Disgusting attitude.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding Dental Care Experience with Derek Lombard I recently had a dental emergency after breaking a tooth, and after an unsuccessful visit to an out-of-hours dentist in Dublin, I found myself in urgent need of care. Unfortunately, I couldn’t attend my own dentist as it coincided with the first day of my new job. Thankfully, I managed to get an appointment with Derek Lombard in Monread, and I’m so grateful I did. Derek was absolutely amazing — incredibly personable, professional, and genuinely caring. He took a great deal of time and effort trying to save my tooth, but unfortunately, it ultimately had to be removed. Despite this, Derek ensured I was as comfortable as possible throughout the process. He provided clear and practical advice for managing pain and aftercare, which was incredibly helpful. What really impressed me was the follow-up call the next morning to check how I was doing — such a thoughtful and reassuring gesture. His dedication to his patients' well-being really stood out. I would highly recommend Derek Lombard to anyone seeking top-quality dental care. His professionalism, expertise, and kindness made a stressful situation so much easier to manage.

Louise on reception who is always so pleasant and helpful kindly got us an appointment with Dr. Lombard on the same day with a dental issue that had cropped up after a previous tooth filling a few weeks before. Dr.Lombard had it sorted out in a couple of minutes and never charged for the second visit which was not expected. Thank you so much for your kindness , very much appreciated and we will see you all soon again . Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend Monread Dental, I felt at ease from the minute I walked into the Surgey. Louise the receptionist was so friendly. I was a bit nervous as it was my first time to the dentist in a while, Dr Patrick O'Brien was great he took the time to explain each procedure to me and gave me great advice for continuing my dental care at home.

Negative experience: Avoid this place.Had multiply fillings done which all fell out over two years.Very rude on the phone.No available appointments without long delays.Rushed appointments to get the next customer in.

Negative experience: Went for what was meant to be a “free “consultation, for Invisalign, Dr Derek. Was charged and not told fully or explained. Weeks after came in for photos, 150 euro. Was quoted a large amount on Invisalign ,moderate teeth not comprehensive. Went to truly dental got everything done in one hour for free,photos ,3D scan,pictures showed and explained straight away ,and quoted much less. What took monread weeks to do and charge on top of that. Do not recommend at all.

Fantastic experience: Very good experience today when attending for a filling replacement. I was quite nervous attending, my treating dentist was Dr Lombard. I felt in very good hands with him and nurse Preethi, I feel like their relaxed demeanor but professionalism gives a great patient experience. Fantastic experience: Thanks to Dr. John Obrien. The best dentist I've been too. He was very gentle and calm. He makes his patient understand every issues and explains proper solution and procedures. I have been to dental clinics and I went with one tooth problem but came out with 6 more additional problem and pain. But Dr. John Obrien listened and was able to solve where the problem is coming from. Pain is gone and will go back again for my dental care. Live far from Naas but will travel far to Monread clinic. Nurses are so kind too(Ness~thanks and Dr. John's assistant) even the receptionist Louise is very friendly. If you fear dental clinic,go to Monread and look for Dr. John.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dr John O’ Brien and Monread Dental. Louise has always looked after me with my appointments, and even in emergencies. She always gives a warm welcome when you enter the practice, and will help whatever way she can. Dr O’Brien is very patient, thorough and professional. If you are a nervous patient, I would highly recommend getting an appointment with him as he will make you feel at ease all while explaining what needs to be done, very clearly. Fantastic experience: Incredibly relieved to have a low pain and successful dental outcome today with Dr Pat O’Brien. The technology available to have a crown assessed, designed, made and fitted on site and within the hour is stunning.

Negative experience: Don’t ever Book this place the lady on the phone is so rude treating me like a dog, cheeky and I’m absolutely appalled. If you have any self respect stay away from this terrible place. Since Dr Matt Buckley left it’s gone to the dogs!!!! I tried to book an emergency appointment today and she tried then charging me for 2 other appointments which she said I booked online and I never attended, This place clearly mixes up bookings and don’t know what they are doing. Until now I was attending another dentist in Clane for my braces I had the last 3 years and never had any issues with my teeth until now. Scammers.

Fantastic experience: I had an amazing experience yesterday in Monread Dental. I had gone in with wisdom tooth issue absolutely terrified about the possibility of having to have it out. Dr O’Brien was fantastic he told me he could take it out there and then and he did so in under a minute I was shocked. I haven’t felt any pain at all even a day later. 10/10 would recommend Dr O’Brien and Hannah they were fantastic.

Fantastic experience: Ok I’ve had a fear of dentists for many years due to a horrific experience but anyways the pain started and I finally gave in. I rang 12 dentists and Louise in monread dental was the only one who could accomodate me ASAP! I rang Monday and had an appointment Wednesday. Well all I can say is I walked into the dental practice and myself and Louise laughed while waiting..still smiling when I got into the dentist John another beautiful lady (I cannot remember your name I’m sorry) they knew I was anxious and within seconds they made me at ease. Fantastic experience: As a nervous patient, I had put my dental care to one side for too many years before properly engaging with Monread Dental. Although I've had to get some new fillings, I've been delighted with the results. The modern white fillings are barely noticeable in a tooth! Fantastic experience: I recently attended Monread dental and had to have a crown fitted. This wasn’t what I expected at that time as I hoped the tooth could be filled. Dr John O’Brien explained my options clearly and was transparent about the cost and time of procedure. I have had approximately 10 crowns over the past 30 years (some were replacement ones) and my experiences varied. Some were uncomfortable, most were lengthy with return visits for fitting etc. This time I was completely done with hardly any discomfort within 1 hour. I had a lovely, colour matched, painless crown which was done with care, using advanced technology. The dental nurses are all so pleasant and gentle also. This oractice is warm and welcoming with friendly, helpful receptionists. I have attended other dental practices in the location which could learn the importance of customer service from Monread practice! Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Can't speak highly enough of Dr John O Brien. I've always had problems with having work on my teeth as they are very sensitive and I have a high tolerance to anesthetic but i rarely feel any pain when he has done any work including deep cleans and fillings. 5 stars.

Very quick process today cleaning etc done as per scheduled appointment no time wasted sitting in awaiting room. Fantastic experience: I finally found a dentist I can trust! I had a very sore wisdom tooth and got an emergency appointment, I got it extracted and it was painless and I was told I can rise my hand any time I would need a break. Very reassuring and I didn't need to raise my hand at all. Since then I had cleaning done and two fillings, an excellent job. Fantastic experience: I had a severe tooth ache and recently moved to the area and after ringing around, Monread Dental made availability for me that very day to get seen too. I have since been back to get Root Canal Treatment and also a Crown fitting, the professionalism was second to none. It is a very busy practise which is a good sign also. Dr. Pat made the RCT very peaceful with no pain and relaxing backround movie themed soundtracks. I am very grateful and happy to have found this dental practice.

Fantastic experience: I had 5 Crowns and a Bridge, really superb service. Temporary crowns fitted while the actual ones were being made up. the process was very straightforward and professional. The quality of the new crowns was superb and the attention to making a natural colour match was excellent. really friendly team, Dr Pat takes time to explain everything.

He took one look at me and in a short space of time was able to do what should have been done 3 months previous, I can't thank him enough! I can now bite, eat and smile! Fantastic experience: Very grateful to John in Monread Dental. We had an emergency when our son broke his tooth, John took him straight in for an xray and told us to come back at the end of the day for treatment, he then spent over an hour rebuilding the tooth, we are relieved and delighted with the results and most importantly so is the patient, thank you !!

Fantastic experience: Had both upper wisdom teeth pulled for a very reasonable price. Painless (discounting the tiny sting of the numbing injection) and incredibly quick! Procedure itself took about 5 minutes, I was out of the building in about 30 minutes. Brilliant experience overall. I have always had a good experience here with cleanings and extractions, would definitely recommend to anyone!

Negative experience: Terrible Service. Went in for a standard checkup. Cost €150, was told I need to come back for two fillings due to the pain I was feeling, another €250, five days later still feeling pain. went back and was told I need a Root canal = €700. went back did the Root Canal, and was still feeling pain. And finally went in a final time and was told I now need a crown. Overall cost was €1100 and Five dentist appointments and the problem is still not resolved. in addition to this Dr Pat O'Brian took it into his own hands without my consent and completely shaved off half my tooth and said he was prepping it for the crown. Absolutely fuming. Would not Recommend.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommended Dr Pat O'Brien. Following a bad experience at another clinic years ago I had become an extremely anxious and nervous patient who avoided the dentist. Dr O'Brien was recommended to me and I can't say enough good things about him. He is gentle and reassuring and I adore his soda blasting machine which makes regular cleaning so much easier and kinder. I've had periodontal treatment, regular cleanings, caps, and even a wisdom tooth pulled and it was all extremely manageable and gentle. He also provides great clarity on the prices of treatments beforehand. If you're a nervous patient or just looking for a really good dentist Dr. O'Brien is the one to go to.

Fantastic experience: I'm an extremely nervous patient. I cannot express that enough. Been going to Monread Dental for years now and can't recommend them enough. I had a wisdom tooth removed today, the whole procedure was done in 20 seconds. No pain whatsoever.

Negative experience: Pity I didn't read reviews, was focused on general 4.6 rate. It should be 1.6 at the most. Far from professional. Total chaos. Dentists sharing tools walking in and out. Noisy. Small space, And outcome seems to be like far from what it should looks like. But they are brilliant in taking money. Update: first filling that went and had to be repaired/replaced was also from same place. So AVOID BY ANY MEANS !!! Also fact that they offer full refund for removing feedback talk for itself. Ps. Wasn't last week or month. Was honest opinion after spending big bucks there and comming back 2+ times. All fall apart in short period of time. Had to be fixed by someone competent. That's far from U guys. No need leaving phone number as I'm avoiding your place by any means. Hardly be ringing and chatting after that experience. And know by now so many people that haven't left feedback but ware not happy at all.

Fantastic experience: I came to Patrick as an emergency. A family run practice with an excellent receptionist. The equipment and technology used in the practice allows me to see what can be done and I am Very impressed. A complex root canal located and carried out with little discomfort and tooth settled so well following. I’m writing this two months later and since then have had a extensivevteeth clean with check up and two family members have also moved to this practice and we are all happy and smiling . Fantastic experience: Attended Dr. Derek Lombard yesterday. Absolutely brilliant experience from start to finish. Had attended him previously when he worked in Limerick. He was the man who got me over my phobia about dentists (hadn't attended one for 15 years up to then) so happily made the 6-hour round trip to see him and it was 110% worth it. He is so kind, good fun, very patient and brilliant at his job. Never even knew he had given me the 2 injections-(yes, that good!!) TOTALLY painless. He's really good at the psychology side of things, so I would urge anyone who is nervous about ANY aspect of dentistry...GO TO DR. DEREK! He will get you over the line, I promise! And by the way, I rarely do reviews (& certainly wasn't asked to! ) but I was so bad about going to the dentist and now I have no bother - it's really liberating and so reassuring. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I'd reach this point! Thanks Derek - see you in 6-months for my check-up!

Fantastic experience: Professional and friendly experience at Monread Dental. I was fortunate to get an appointment on short notice whilst being hit with excruciating pain- on entering the practice, my anxious feelings were immediately put to ease through the friendly interaction with Terri at reception. Dr John O’Brien took the time to explain the root canal treatment to me, and demonstrated extreme patience and care through what I perceived to be a complicated procedure - which I really appreciate. Highly recommend Monread Dental.

Fantastic experience: My appointment at Monread Dental was a very positive experience! From booking the appointment to meeting Pat and having him explain what was going to happen before and during my procedure, was very reassuring compared to another dentist I had been at previously. Would highly recommend this dental practice.

Negative experience: AVOID THIS PLACE! I went in for a routine checkup and clean; all covered by PRSI which was confirmed by the receptionist I spoke to before going. I will not get into the dingy practice with boxes everywhere and the long wait for my appointment. The real problem here is that after my regular check up, I was charged for extra 'periodontal' work. I received nothing but a regular cleaning, and at no point whatsoever did anyone mention extra charges, in fact the opposite is true, as I called to confirm this was covered under PRSI. When I challenged the receptionist she became very combative and threatened me with legal action if this was not paid. I paid and left to avoid any further argument. I contacted the practice afterwards, explained and received no response. I complained to the dental council who could take it no further. the only option I have here is small claims, which is not worth it for 40, and I'm sure they know that. So the only thing I can do is write and honest review here, and urge anyone thinking of using this place, to go elsewhere as there are so many other great practices around, you do not need to roll the dice with this place.

Fantastic experience: On my recent visit to Dr John Ferdia O'Brien I was impressed with John's expertise in the treatment I received. I found John to be very thorough and capable and kept me informed at all stages of the process. Very satisfied customer and will certainly be returning .

Negative experience: Nice receptionist but oldest male dentist is incredibly heavy handed. Been with him twice and both time left with injuries to my mouth. Left today with busted lip after a simple cleaning. Would not recommend him to anyone. No attention to care.

Fantastic experience: Phoned today looking for an urgent appointment after my filling fell out. Hannah on reception was great to deal with and spoke to Dr. O'Brien who was very accommodating. Luckily my tooth was saved and the whole experience was actually painless. I had my teeth cleaned while I was there too.Highly recommend especially if you're afraid of visiting a dentist like I am

Fantastic experience: when i say get your wisdom teeth out that you have been avoiding - do it here ! i’ve put off getting my wisdom teeth done for the past 10 years. i finally said it was my new year’s resolution. it was 10 minutes top and bottom. Fantastic experience: I attended Monread Dental Clinic for the first time to get a filling and a check up. I attended the clinic for treatment with Laura O'Dolan. So delighted with the amazing work Laura did both cleaning my teeth and doing a filling. Dentist Laura outlined treatment plan and pricing before starting, provided effective pain relief and quickly fixed broken tooth. She is very knowledgeable, and gives very good advice. She treated me effectively and efficiently without pain. Highly recommend her and the practice in general. Thank you Laura, you have done an amazing job!!! :)

Fantastic experience: Went on with a broken molar and was measured and had the replacement crown fitted within 2 hours as they have the equipment all on site. Very professional and quick service compared to other places that wanted to do it over multiple visits with days delay in-between.
