Fantastic experience: The practice is very professional and dr John is a real enthusiast of his profession. He spent more than hour with me explaining in details and teaching how to clean my teeth. I was never told how to do it properly before. It’s a very good dental care and I recommend it.

Fantastic experience: I started orthodontic treatment in early 2023 with the team at Leixlip Dental Centre and could not be happier with the results. The treatment plan used 3D x-ray imaging to assess the positioning of my teeth, and the team also took into consideration my own inputs in order to build a plan going forward. I started seeing results from the first month and John was able to pair his skills as an orthodontist, with restorative techniques to align and level out my teeth. He was able to do this without extracting any teeth or any other invasive surgery. John and his team were very friendly and made themselves available should I have had any questions about the orthodontic procedures. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody looking to improve their smile.

Positive experience: Was here for the first time and first time only. I think he's a good dentist and passionate about what he does and very knowledgeable, but I do feel he comes across as quite abrupt and rude while a bit intrusive also. He gave me advice on flossing which has really helped, but told him where I usually go to get my teeth done and he says "What are you doing here then?" and said "How on earth did you never floss?" and told him at the time I was guilty of not flossing enough while he was almost getting quite flustered about it. He also called me a snowflake which I find funny eventhough he was reefing my gum making it bleed with one of the dental instruments. I know for a fact a lot of people in Ireland don't floss as much as they should. I almost felt like he was showing off in front of the dental assistant who wasn't paying attention to him showing off. Would give a better rating only for his people skills which are quite poor.

Fantastic experience: After spending many years thinking about getting braces, and multiple discussions with Dr Weaver, I eventually took the plunge. At age 47 I am now 7 months into my first ever orthodontic treatment and couldn't be more delighted with the results. I only wish I had done it sooner! Both Dr Weaver and Ash take great care, time and consideration during every appointment to explain in detail next steps in the plan and answer any queries or concerns. Dr Weaver has always been excellent in providing advice and guidance to help improve my oral health and is very committed to educating patients for their own benefit. Negative experience: I'm gobsmacked by the prices. I don't think I've ever paid so much for a dentist for so little work. If I knew all the talking would cost me this much I wouldn't have went here. Just feel like pricing wasnt transparent. Didn't even double check with me to see if I wanted certain elements done like other dentists, just proceeded and what seemed like a quick visit turned into a big expense with no real effects. I understand if I went in for a filling or an actual procedure but no. Really disappointed

Fantastic experience: Approximately 4 years ago (August 2019) I had to get the first molar on the left side of my lower jaw removed. Two months later the same pain occurred on the right side, leading to the extraction of the right first molar. Neither of the teeth had decayed they had literally just cracked straight down the middle due to grinding my teeth at night (something that seems to have started since having a baby.) Dr John, who I've been attending for over 20 years, suggested using a splint at night time and since then I have not looked back. It didn't take long to adjust to wearing it and I am now lost without it! I sleep better with it, my jaw is not as tight, it doesn't ache as much and most importantly it has kept my other teeth in tact. I am very grateful to John for all the advice he has given me over the years but especially for his help at that time.

Fantastic experience: John is now MY dentist. If you think you are nervous, you still would not be a patch on me. I simply don't like going and avoid going until something goes wrong. Recently I broke a tooth and so I had to go visit John. From the moment I got in to leixlip dental things got better. John understood how to calm me down, had music playing to lighten the mood and I was shown exactly what needed to be done to fix the tooth. Indeed the sorest part of being at the dentist was my arm from holding a mirror while I watched the work being done to my teeth. So now I will attend every year for checkups which is a huge step for me. The only reason I can give you not to visit is that I fear I will find it hard to get an appointment as John will be so busy from my recommenations. Thank you Leixlip Dental!

Fantastic experience: It was very easy to give this Dental centre a 5 star rating, I was referred to this dentist by my own for a scan required for an upcoming procedure. The in-depth explanation of what the scan was and the review I was given of the scan was tremendous, I have never been to a dentist we’re it was explained to thoroughly and effectively. Dr.John was tremendous and I am even considering attending this dentist over my own in the future regardless of the extra travel. From my experience I couldn’t recommend it enough.

Fantastic experience: Being new in Leixlip I needed to find a dentist. Well what an amazing experience I had when I visited the Leixlip Dental Centre. From the time that I walked through the door, I was made to feel so welcome the treatment was nothing less than 5 start. Negative experience: Well,hello i was today at your place to put back a crown wich fell out! I wasnt serviced because i didnt have vaccine! Since when is a law to be obligate to have vaccine? I was ready to get even a few quick corona tests to prove i have no sicknes! But i wasnt told i can even do this! Maybe you are a good specialis but you didnt help a person when he really need though…. Doctors have to help people when they need doesnt matter etnecy or vaccinated or unvaccinated!!

Fantastic experience: I had braces put on in April. The whole experience from initial consultations and advice to having adjustments has been a pleasure. John and his staff are very thorough, diligent and friendly in their approach. Making sure I was informed and happy with everything at each visit. The payment structure they have in place makes braces very affordable and manageable. No large upfront costs. My braces are due to come off at the end of November. And I couldn't be happier with the results. I could see improvements every single month since they were put on. I've been using Leixlip Dental Centre for all my dental needs for 5+ years now. Since moving house they're no longer local to me, but I still wouldn't go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I must say the best dentist I've ever been to and first in Ireland. They took the time to listen & carefully explain everything that was going on. They even showed me techniques I have never seen before like putting this purple stuff on my teeth to show me very clearly the extent of the damage my teeth had as well as a rubber clamp thing (which I have forgotten the name of) that isolates the tooth that they are working on. I had never received treatment like this before & they took the time to properly show me how to be better at simply cleaning my teeth. Would definitely recommend a visit

Fantastic experience: I had to get a tooth out that was bothering me for a long time, and was having an effect also on my sinuses. Im absolutely terrified of dentists since I was a child, and now as an adult, Im still petrified after having a lot of bad experiences. However the care I got with John and Dr. Leo was fantastic. Fantastic experience: After 15 years since my last dental appointment, I was definitely nervous about attending a dentist appointment. I needn't have worried. They took time to explain the importance of dental care, and the intricacies of a new daily routine, as well as during the examination providing a mirror and taking time to both show and explain each stage of the exam. They created a breakdown of follow up procedures I need, and may might need clearly. All in all a great experience, and I'm no longer nervous about going. Highly recommended :)

Fantastic experience: My son recently had his first dental experience here, went great and he was put at complete ease, also shown how to clean his teeth properly and dental care explained. Also got fissure sealants done all within the half hour! Would highly recommend especially for anyone with children who may be slightly nervous or anxious about dentist!

Fantastic experience: As someone who was anxious to go to the dentist i had not been in 5 years. I knew i needed a filling and decided to book in here. John was very friendly and took into consideration my nerves. He explained each step and encouraged to watch the process in the mirror to see exactly what was going on. Even when getting the needle john was very gentle and was patient with me. This put my mind at ease. I was also shown how to properly clean my teeth and shown preventative measures to avoid any more fillings in the future. Negative experience: Dr, Weever is good at his job however in my opinion his social skills need improvement, would not recommend on the basis that I found him extremely rude especially when he assumed I spent my wages on getting my hair, nails and other beauty treatments done over bills, rent and in his opinion, my teeth scaling.

I started at the end of May and it is now October and in only a short five months the amount Dr John Weever was able to do is amazing. My teeth are so much straighter already. John is so kind and really makes sure that you are comfortable with every thing he is doing. Every time I go, which is once a month he has lovely music playing witch just makes it so much more enjoyable and any questions you have he will be honest and helpful so you understand what he is doing to your teeth. Fantastic experience: I have been going to Leixlip Dental for around a year and a half, I have had extensive work from braces, crown lengthening, crown work and regular visits for cleaning. The care, friendliness and absolute professionalism of everyone who works there will keep me coming back. I appreciate the human approach that John, my dentist gives and I feel very safe and confident in the dental care I receive every time I go for follow up care. Negative experience: This was by far the worst medical treatment I have ever experienced. I was the first appointment of the day ( 9 am) , the dental nurse had me fill in all the forms and get set up in the chair. The dentist then arrived late and proceeded to have a shower while I waited for him in the chair . He eventually appeared at 9.15 am and said he was delayed because he was in the gym. I told the dentist that I would be going into work after the treatment however he continued to draw out the appointment, he showed me before and after pictures on the computer once the treatment had eventually finished. He wanted me to marvel in his work which I was paying him to complete. He also made unwarranted comments about my weight and proceeded to lecture me in nutrition and told me that it was his "thing". I found his manner extremely unprofessional and unsettling. I was booked in for a check up and two fillings and the process took 2.5 hours. I left the dental practice feeling genuinely sick at the service I received. I would give this zero stars as a review if possible. I wouldnt' wish this treatment on my worst enemy. I feel sorry for the dental nurse and receptionist that have to put up with this egomaniac on a daily basis.

Fantastic experience: For my upcoming wedding, I first began looking into braces in 2018 and found an online company where moulds are sent directly each month without any face to face contact with an orthodontist. I underwent a scan for this and was told I was an ideal candidate. I had my reservations about this and sought Dr. Weaver’s opinion in the July. I always felt the adjustments of my teeth were minimal but I did experience ++overcrowding, particularly on the bottom. After my examination, Dr. Weaver told me that with the first approach I would be unlikely to obtain the results I desired and that, really for this, fitted braces would be required. I’m so glad that I went down this route 11 months on. Every month I met with Dr. Weaver who monitored my progress and upgraded the wire. My teeth also required a lot of alteration - shaving, filing and interdental striping in order to align correctly. This would not have been possible had I not chosen to have my one to one consultations with Dr. Weaver. The care and time he put into my orthodontic work has been phenomenal. My aftercare has also been fantastic and I feel confident that my great results will be permanent.

Fantastic experience: I am a 67 YO female and have had a centre front implant. At the outset I felt very nervous about having this procedure due to the fact that I have had a denture from the age of 7 as well as a rare autoimmune disease which is controlled by steroids and immunosuppressants. This has caused me to have steroid induced osteoporosis which could have further complicated the implant process. Despite having these issues, the implant process was very successful and the professional care I received throughout all phases of the procedure was second to none. I would highly recommend Dr. John Weever and his team who confidently and competently saw me through each procedure despite my reservations - I’m still incredulous that I don’t have to wear a denture! Thank you Dr. John Weever and the entire team.

Fantastic experience: Dr John Weever is the best dentist I have ever attended. I am 44yo and he taught me to brush my teeth. Now - I pride myself on my dental hygiene but this dentist set me straight. He is absolutely excellent.

Fantastic experience: I had two baby teeth (at age of thirty one might wonder whether they should be still called that) in place of canine. I was told once I will have to get implants replacing the milk teeth but I was never explained the process of it. Dr John Weever was the first one to care enough to talk me through the whole process. This went as follow: firstly, removal of baby teeth and placing the implants (titanium screws) into the jaw, secondly, implants integration process i.e. waiting period which on average should be around 2-3 months depending on healing and consolidation, and lastly, fitting the implant crowns. How did it go in reality? According to plan, apart from having a small infection a week after the first phase, as I wasn't cleaning the implants correctly. I was too scared to brush the areas to be honest but Dr John showed me exactly how I should clean it and since then i had no other issues with it. I tried to keep my gums (and implant heads) as clean as possible in order to speed up the healing process. I aimed to have the crowns fitted as soon as possible because I didn't want to walk around with two missing teeth. However, there was a temporary solution provided by dr John - the transparent tray that had fillings made in place of baby teeth. It allowed me to still attend business meetings and other social events without embarrassment. After two months, I went in for a check up for Dr John to decide whether he was happy enough to proceed with fitting the crowns any time soon. Luckily, the implants were integrated well and gums around were nice and healthy. Dr John took measures and pictures of other teeth to make the crowns fitting perfectly to the rest of them. Two weeks later I was leaving the clinic with the best smile I have ever had! To sum up, the whole process wasn't easy nor painless but the results are outstanding and definitely worth it! Dr John and his team were very supportive at every step of that process. Thank you so much for making this whole thing not that stressful afterall, not to mention quite enjoyable!

Really great dentist very friendly and gives an extremely professional service. Even took photos and documented his work to show me afterward. Fantastic experience: I've been going here for 10 years now and the quality and health of my mouth and teeth is amazing. The approach is prevention and I've had very few fillings in those 10 years. Clean modern and comfortable. I wouldn't trust anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: This dentist cured my headaches! I had been suffering with daily headaches for over 2 years. I would wake up most mornings with a pain in my left temple.About a year ago I went to see my GP. I was prescribed painkillers but I was still in the dark as to what was causing them. While having a check up at Leixlip Dental Centre I mentioned this to the dentist John. He told me that I had an overbite and that I was grinding my teeth at night and this may be the cause of my headaches. He got a mould of my teeth and a night time mouth splint made.I have been wearing the mouth splint for nearly 2 weeks now and no headaches! John asked that I make a follow up visit to check it was fitting correctly. I told him that I had a bit of pain in my 2 front teeth with it. He made a little adjustment and now it's sitting perfectly. I'm no longer popping prescribed medication or Ibuprofin everyday. I'm on the dental plan with Leixlip Dental Centre so I received a 20% discount on the price of the mouth splint which was great. Others may be in the same boat as me and would never have thought that a dental issue was causing their headaches. So a huge thank you to John and Leixlip Dental Centre
