Smiles Dental Dun Laoghaire

Fantastic experience: Excellent service from start to finish. This was my second appointment with Dr. Ekaterina. She's calm, friendly and very knowledgeable, explaining everything in detail. The receptionist was also welcoming, and I was seen on time.

Fantastic experience: I would recommended this place to future patients as I am a new Patient there and I had some good work done there recently. They really look after you so well. I left the place feeling very pleased with the work that was done. The staff are very friendly and make you feel comfortable welcoming

The dentist (who I had not met before) was really lovely also. She made me feel at ease and was quick and gentle and gave me some great advice. Fantastic experience: Had appointment with Dr Ebe. My own dentist passed away and I’ve put off going to any dentist as I’m so nervous. All I can say is this man is so good! He is professional but a very kind man also. Puts you at ease. Would highly recommend anyone that has any fears or anxiety about seeing a dentist, this is the one for you. Thankful to have found Dr Ebe.

Fantastic experience: Can only speak highly of my experiences with the team at Smiles Dental Dun L, from the girls (especially Layla) on the front desk and Dr. Greg Cullen. On more than one occasion, I needed an emergency appointment, and I was seen promptly. Dr. Greg is great, super 'dental chair' manner, makes you feel comfortable and some chat and banter to go with it. Dr. Greg is very knowledgable in all areas and really open regarding options on your dental plan, never feel like he is trying to sell me a product/treatment.

Negative experience: staffs are not nice， an unpleasant experience. Although spent a lot on registering but will not visit again

Negative experience: I visited Smiles for a routine check up and was told I needed 4 fillings and gave me a large quote - I was quite surprised so I went to see another local dentist for a second opinion and he said that would have been absolutely unnecessary work and that I only needed one filling. This was about 2/3 years ago now and I haven't had any issues with the other teeth since then. I was really appalled that they would have given me unnecessary fillings.

Fantastic experience: Recently visited Smiles in Dun Laoghaire for a regular check up and a clean. Loved how quickly I managed to book an appointment (called on Monday and was able to book a visit already for Saturday). Very friendly staff, fancy and neat looking rooms. Dr Mustafa did everything perfectly and shared a detailed treatment plan, which I really appreciated. Would recommend this clinic to a friend :)

Fantastic experience: My expierience of the treatment I recieved with Smiles has been a very positive one.The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.Miheala the Dentist was so professional and patient and took the time to explain everything to me about my treatment.Ive always been anxious about getting dental treatment and as a result of going to Smiles and the treatment I recieved from Mihaela I dont have that fear and anxiety anymore which im delighted about.I would highly recommend Smiles.My partner is currently gettling treatment with Smiles and is equally satisfied.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr Janusz Banasik's in Dun Laoghaire for the past 10 months. I went to him last year in 2021 as I wanted to straighten out my teeth. From the beginning Dr Janusz was deeply knowledgable about every type of orthodontic process available and gave me the best treatment option for my teeth. I had white train track braces on my top teeth for 10 months, the braces were discreet and they completely straightened out my teeth. Dr Janusz was so, so helpful and wise throughout the whole process, each visit he knew exactly what was required for my teeth from the smallest tweaks to the bigger movements. He guided me through the whole process and told me exactly what to expect and he ensured I was comfortable throughout and made sure I was satisfied with how my teeth were moving. Dr Janusz has recently removed my braces and I am so, so delighted with the result! I cannot believe how straight my teeth are after only 10 months, I am so pleased with the result and I can't thank Dr Janusz enough. Dr Janusz is thoroughly skilled and knowledgable in the field of orthodontics and I would recommend anyone looking for orthodontic treatment or advice on how to straighten/fix your teeth to absolutely go to Dr Janusz who works between Dun Laoghaire and Tallaght. Negative experience: I saw Dr.Ebenzener last year for 2 root canals. The first root canal seemed to go fine, however, I had tremendous problems with the second. After much difficulty and dissatisfaction with my treatment, I sought help from another dental practice who managed to get my treatment back on track. Unfortunately, I have just been informed by my new dentist that the first root canal will need to be redone as it was not done properly and the infection is back. This is very unfortunate as including the new treatments I will have spent €2,000+ on fixing and redoing the root canals. If you are looking to get more complicated work done I would recommend you go elsewhere and spend the extra money, I wish I had done this initially as I would have saved myself a lot of money and pain

Fantastic experience: I visited the practice for the first time 2 weeks ago and I have to say I had the most pleasant experience in a dental office. The girl on the phone was very helpful and she explained what i need to have in order to join for the first time. I usually don’t look forward to go to dentist but when i was there the receptionist, Judy if I remember correctly she was lovely and she made the experience much better. She took her time with me and was very welcoming. Sometimes the first face you see and the last before you leave a place can impact you in the best ways. The dentist was also nice and gentle. So if you are nervous going to dentist I would definitely recommend this place.

Positive experience: You know maybe I'm just bad luck with Reception staff or maybe I look weird or speak funnily or something but it's really frustrating to ask a question and be treated as if I'm bothering someone for information or help who's function as far as I understand it is to give information or help. I called through to this practice to setup the appointment on behalf of my wife and the service on the phone was excellent. Came through with her to the appointment and while she was in asked if it would be possible to make the payment. I was told quite reasonably that when she was done I would only be able to make the payment, but the way I was told really left me irritable. Like the tone and coldness. I thought it was so odd especially as the person on the phone was so great making the appointment. I thought maybe it was an off day or another receptionist. Roll forward to today, I accompany my heavily drugged (for medical reasons) Wife in for the follow up procedures. She had asked me to enquire about a Sick certificate earlier in the day as she didn't anticipate that she would be in a condition to ask for herself (she isn't.) Her employer had said they wouldn't accept a Dentist note for the surgery and that she would have to get one from a GP. She's not sure exactly how that would work so asked to to ask reception about it. I duly did so. I was literally scolded for asking. Like I was asking the most ridiculous thing, It wasn't an answer so much as a dismissal. I'm sitting in the reception area steaming. I know I'm not even the patient but it's just so frustrating. Anyway for the record my wife says Greg is an excellent Dentist and she won't go anywhere else now so I have to round up to 3 stars.

Negative experience: I visited Smiles in Dún Laoghaire at the end of February. I was worried about my gums and I knew they weren't in great shape. I got made feel like there was no hope for my gums and I wouldn't ever qualify for braces to straighten my top teeth. There was no bedside manner at all and I was being spoken about as if I wasn't in the room. Was nearly having a panic attack and they kept telling my the costs and future costs etc etc losing teeth etc etc Very preachy and I was told if I came for a deep clean, that I would have to get extractions on the same day. And why I wonder so they could lock me in as a cash cow for the dental practice. I was then told they would send a refferal letter to the dental school for me and I've contacted them twice since February 22nd and they haven't bothered. Something else bothered me. There was no after care... Advice on flosser/toothpaste to use, different sizes and uses etc, as soon as they realised I wasn't going to pay €900 For a deep clean, they weren't interested in me anymore. The dentist left me in the reception having a panic attack that lasted for over 3 hours... It was a horrible experience and I haven't had a panic attack like that in years. Unfortunately due to these dentists, I will never recommend or use this franchise every again. I've since found a fantastic clinic (NOT SMILES) that I'm working with to get too braces by the end of the year. and I had a very relaxing experience with them.

Negative experience: dentist chipped my filling and failed both practice manager and dentist failed to rectify the situation

Fantastic experience: I've always hated Dentists, but I have to say I've been to Smiles twice and seen Dr Greg Cullen.. I have to say, the experience was fantastic and he really made me feel at ease.. I've been terrified of dental work for over 20 years but needs must & dare I say it I'm almost looking forward to going back. Lovely staff and above board with all costs and future planned works. Fantastic experience: Aoife the dentist here is great, I hate going to the dentist but she is so lovely and makes me feel so at ease every time. She is so quick and no messing around, in and out in no time. I also had a wisdom tooth removed here and built myself up for it to be the worst thing ever but there was no pain or afterpain whatsoever. I would highly recommend making them your dentist.

Fantastic experience: I recently had 2 visits with Smiles, with Dr. Ebenezer Thomas and I could not recommend this practice more highly. Their Covid safety measures in place were very good. The treatment was excellent, Dr. Ebenezer Thomas explained everything so clearly step by step as he was carrying out the required work. I usually hate the dentist but this was by far the best experience I have had.

Positive experience: I'm giving 3 stars because prior to my daughters awful experience with one particular dentist we have always been more than happy with the lovely aoife. Unfortunately after the last time we won't be back and I have an 8 year old who is now petrified of going to the dentist.

Fantastic experience: 3 weeks into lockdown and a tooth started to loosen. Tuesday morning the front fell off. Panic mode. Called Smiles and got an appointment with the amazing Aoife. An angel in full PPE. She saved and sorted the tooth. Amazing dentist and a truly lovely lady too. Could not even hug her to thank her from the bottom of my heart.

Fantastic experience: I can not speak more highly of the team in dun laoghaire, I had two appointments to remove wisdom teeth and molar, the first with ebi and he was great with me, I'm a super nervous patient and he was great at getting my dental work done while make me very comfortable, very nice man, my second appointment was with mohammed and same again very friendly and very professional, even the receptionist I was dealing with, a few difrent ones were lovely and very helpful, would highly recommend if you want a Modern, clean and very affordable dentist with very nice staff that are professionals go to smiles dental

Fantastic experience: I travel out from Tallaght to see my dentist Dr. Ebbie Thomas as he is the only one I trust with my teeth and has always done a brilliant job. The nurses are amazing. I am always greeted with a warm welcome by the receptionists also. Would highly recommend.

Negative experience: Absolute rip off. 90 euro to glue in my daughter's retainer which was fitted abroad and had come loose. Won't be back.

Fantastic experience: I am very nervous when it comes to dentists. However, everyone I dealt with in Smiles made me feel at ease and they are all so friendly. They are upfront with you about their prices and they don't push you to get something done that you are not comfortable with as other dentists do. I just came back from seeing Aoife for a filling, she is so competent and friendly and caring. My anxiety vanished once I was in the chair, which means a lot. I can only recommend smiles dun laoghaire to everyone!

The Dentists who treated me (Dr. Ebb Thomas & Dr. Mohammed) are capable & very skilled. They fully discussed the treatment plans. The Dental Assistants/ Dental Nurses are kind & gentle.
