Fantastic experience: My extended family has been going to Claire for over 30 years because she's an excellent dentist. She was able to fit me in for a filling and repairing some composite bonding while I was briefly home, and massively improved the aesthetics and structure of my teeth. As well as that, the dental hygienist, nurse, and reception staff are exceptionally friendly and warm. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: I really expect my refund I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the emergency service I received at your clinic today. I chose your clinic for an urgent dental issue, as I was experiencing severe pain, bleeding, and inflammation in the area of a wisdom tooth. Upon arrival, I clearly informed the receptionist that my primary concern was the possible extraction of the tooth. I also mentioned that I understood an evaluation would be required before proceeding. I provided all of my personal information as requested. Unfortunately, my appointment was delayed by over an hour. When I was finally seen by Dr. Klare, I was shocked by the lack of professionalism: she was wearing visibly dirty clothing, and the examination chair had no hygienic covering. I was extremely anxious, particularly due to the active bleeding and pain, but Dr. Klare showed no patience or empathy in explaining the situation to me. She proceeded to perform procedures — including use of a syringe and a panoramic x-ray — without my consent or proper explanation. I was then charged for these procedures, without being clearly informed beforehand. Additionally, Dr. Klare made inappropriate remarks suggesting that I should return to Brazil for treatment or seek another professional, simply because I am an immigrant. If your clinic is not equipped to handle such procedures or assist non-local patients, why did you accept my appointment? This experience left me feeling disrespected, mistreated, and dismissed. I am attaching a second opinion from another qualified dental professional, who confirmed that Dr. Clare’s assessment and comments were incorrect and misleading. The panoramic radiograph shows the presence of the two lower third molars (wisdom teeth) and the upper left third molar. The upper right third molar has already been extracted. Regarding the lower third molars, they are located in close proximity to the mandibular nerve. In some cases, the roots may be in contact with this nerve. When this occurs, there is a potential risk of temporary paresthesia (numbness), which typically resolves gradually over time. However, this is not a contraindication for surgery. While such nerve-related complications are not very common, it is important that the patient is fully informed of this possibility prior to surgery. The symptoms currently experienced may be due to pericoronitis, inflammation of the gum tissue surrounding the partially erupted wisdom tooth , as part of the tooth remains covered by soft tissue. This area is difficult to clean, which often leads to recurrent inflammation and infection. A palliative treatment, such as local irrigation and injection of anti-inflammatory medication, may offer temporary relief but does not resolve the underlying issue. Due to the recurring nature of inflammation in this area and the difficulty in maintaining proper hygiene, extraction of the wisdom teeth is recommended to provide long-term relief from discomfort. Although the panoramic radiograph provides an initial assessment, it does not allow for a definitive evaluation of the relationship between the lower third molars and the mandibular nerve. To accurately determine the proximity and risk, a Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) scan is recommended. From the current radiograph, the wisdom teeth appear to be in a relatively favorable position for extraction. The surgery is considered delicate but not overly complex. So I just wast my time and money !

Fantastic experience: I'm a very nervous patient as a result of very bad experiences with dentists as a child. Due to my fear, I neglected my oral health for many years. The end result was loose teeth with some even falling out. When the tooth loss happened to my visible front teeth, I became very self conscious and knew I had no choice but to face my fear. I made an appointment with Dr. Clair Kilgarrif at Dublin Dental Clinic. When making the appointment I did explain my history and the fact that I am a nervous patient. Dr Kilgarrif was very understanding and was able (and continues to this day) to put me at ease so that I could be examined without me having a meltdown. I have since had a denture made to replace my missing teeth which I am delighted with. I am no longer self conscious as a result of missing teeth. I take my oral hygiene very seriously now and attend the dental hygienist regularly to better maintain what teeth I have left. The hygienist is also very professional. I could not be happier with the level of service provided by Dr Kilgarrif and the full team at Dublin Dental Clinic. All very professional and pleasant to deal with. Fantastic experience: Amazing Clair and her wonderful team have been looking after me for a good few years now and I'm always extremely happy with my treatments, both from Clair herself and her fantastic team of hygienists and support staff. More recently, Clair has been doing orthodontic treatment for my daughter and I cannot express how much I appreciate the care and commitment from Clair to achieve the very best result possible for her. She really goes above and beyond and cares so much. We have both grown so fond of Clair, who really has a heart of gold to go alongside her superb skills, a winning combination. Its the best decision I ever made...In that time I have been so well looked after by Dr. Clair and her team. Clair is extremely kind and goes over and above in her care of her patients. We had an excellent experience and would definitely recommend the Dublin Dental clinic. Negative experience: I recently called Dental Clinic to schedule an appointment and had a very disappointing experience with Dr I was taken aback by her rudeness and lack of professionalism during our conversation.

Negative experience: My English is not very good and I was trying to explain something to her she didn’t let me use translation and she made a facial attitude. Not a professional behavior at all!! I left there instantly. You don’t even deserve that money !!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr Clair for general dentistry for a couple of years now and recently got orthodontic work with her. Absolutely delighted with my outcome and new smile. Dr Clair and her staff are always so friendly and professional. She always checks in with my wellbeing post appointments which I appreciate. She is clearly an expert in her field and is very kind and informative. The office and waiting room are always clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for an orthodontist or dentist!

Negative experience: Not happy at all with the scammers at this place. I paid a 50€ deposit over the phone and was told the total cost overall is 90€ for cleaning. When I go to pay the remainder I'm told the 50€ is only for your booking and the 90€ is separate and this is "their policy " so €140 in total and none of this was ever mentioned on the phone or when I arrive there. Overall the place is dirty and rundown. I was told I have great teeth but I should get X-rays done anyways at my next visit. Cleaning was okay although everything was rushed. Further to the review, apparently leaving a review is defamation according to this wonderful clinic.

I have had multiple dental issues dealt with as well as orthodontic work and I can genuinely say I am over the moon with my results. Negative experience: Absolutely atrocious service, no care taken and rushed constantly. I was overcharged twice and if I hadn’t pointed it out they would’ve kept the money. And the first time they refunded me, they refunded the wrong amount so I had to go back and be like you still owe me money! Then due to all these reasons and not being able to afford it, I wanted to cancel my being a patient here, to which I was told I would not be recieving my 50 euro sign up fee back as I “missed appointments”. First of all I wasn’t made aware of this when I signed up to be a patient here. Secondly the appointments I apparently missed I didn’t make at all, as they were appointments with a hygienist and I knew I couldn’t afford that so there is no way I made those appointments. When I brought this up to them I was shouted at and left on call ignored. And then my calls weren’t even answered after. Absolutely ridiculous and wouldn’t recommend. Awful experience.

Fantastic experience: Have being going to Dublin Dental Clinic, seeing Clair and her team for over 20 years now - always a great experience - keeping, teeth, gums and mouth healthy. I had to have a wisdom tooth extracted today and I was expecting a long session of tugging and pulling coupled with pain and discomfort. What a pleasant surprise, once numbing effect kicked in it took Clair lees that 30 seconds to extract the offending tooth - no pain, no discomfort, no tugging and pulling - I was in the chair for approx. 10 minutes in total - great job

Fantastic experience: I had my ortho done with Dr Clair in the DDC. All I can say is wow! Clair is such an amazing dentist, she is so meticulous in her treatment plans and puts 110% into all her cases. Clair Is amazingly skilful even when dealing with the most complex treatments, Her work and results speak volumes. In addition to straightening my teeth Dr Clair also contoured my uneven gum line. I had incomplete eruption and this left me with some excess gum tissue over three of my teeth. She removed the excess and contoured my gum line giving my smile symmetry, the whole process was completely painless and healed so fast. I was blown away by the results and Dr Clair’s attention to detail! Looking back on the before and after pics I cannot believe the difference, I love smiling and have gained so much confidence. Thank you so much to Dr Clair and all her wonderful staff who make going to the dentist a joy and all really excel at what they do!

Fantastic experience: I have only amazing words for this practice! After working here for 3 years I was very sorry to leave (to travel) I met the most amazing patients and made life long friends. Dublin dental clinic is more of a family then a business and anyone who attends the practice can see that. As for Dr. Clair kilgarriff only words are perfectionist she will go above and beyond for anyone! After seeing her work first hand for many years I wouldn't trust anyone else with my teeth. Fantastic experience: After years of deliberation, I finally decided to fix my smile with Clair and I've never been happier. Clair is an absolute perfectionist, and so talented at her profession. I love Clair so much that I travelled back from London monthly just to see her - I honestly wouldn't of trusted anyone else. Negative experience: Money chasers! Have drained over €700 and now attending another dentist clinic ... It's also a VERY dirty clinic! Clair Kardiff is the most rude and unpleasant person to deal with... AVOID!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely delighted with my recent treatment as Dublin Dental Clinic. The work was complicated and required quite a few visits to the clinic but the staff were all so welcoming and reassuring. Dr. Clair takes as much time as necessary to explain what she is proposing to do and why. She then carries out her work in such a professional manner with a bit of humour thrown in which helps to keep you relaxed during a long visit. I couldn't recommend them enough.

Negative experience: I don’t recommend you go here. Their work is rushed and not cautiously completed, which for me resulted in unfavorable results. I am struggling to this day to live with the damage they have caused to my teeth, even tho I last visited them over a year ago. I would highly suggest looking for a different practitioner.

I had my bottom teeth fixed when I first started with them and ever since they have continued to look after me. They are reliable and staff are always pleasant and professional.

Negative experience: I'd avoid. Had a very stressful procedure where the dentist got panicked, started blaming me (for gums bleeding, when I had explained it was part of a pre-existing condition previously) and didn't do an adequate job. Then the dentist tried to to sign me up for a hygienist without my permission. I also went through numerous calls to get my €50 deposit back. I'd avoid. Update to reply: the clinic never got in touch privately.

Fantastic experience: Claire and the team have been taking care of our family for the past 5 years. I have never met a medical professional who cares more about her patients than Claire does. Her focus on the patient flows through to all of the staff in the practice who could not be better. Whether it is regular care, an emergency case, braces or other cosmetic work, the treatment is top class, right up to date in technology and medical approach and most of all delivered with a real focus on making you comfortable and feeling good about your visit. I can't recommend them enough.

Fantastic experience: Clair is a kind and highly skilled dentist. I was delighted to feel so well after my recent somewhat complicated crown treatment. It was my first time to have this done and knowing it would take an hour I was afraid I might not feel great afterwards. I was delighted with how I felt and had no hesitation about motorway driving afterwards. I was aware during the time I was there of the great care Clair took ensuring that things were done correctly to achieve the best possible outcome given the particular challenges involved. I have complete trust in Clair as a dedicated dentist who works with great skill and integrity and where the patient always comes first.

Fantastic experience: I've just left the surgery and I honestly can not recommend them enough. Dr. Clair and Sophie were so so kind. I'm 2 years trying to get a dentist to take out my wisdom tooth but no dentist would take it out because it was a top wisdom tooth or I was told multiple times "too difficult" . I walked into the clinic, sat down and within minutes Dr. Clair had my wisdom tooth out. I was and still am shocked by how fast but efficient they were. Absolutely no pain and feel great after it. Can not thank you both enough ☺️❤️ x

Fantastic experience: My first visit to Claire's practice at the Dublin Dental Clinic and to say I was impressed would be a serious understatement. My hygienist was Estelle and I can only describe the experience as the most detailed and thorough forensic cleaning treatment I could ever have imagined. When Estelle had finished, Claire gave me a detailed inspection and correctly analysed my dental history from a visual inspection before passing me fit to expose my teeth to the world. Claire and Estelle make a visit to the dentist a truly rewarding experience. Highly recommended.
