Fantastic experience: I have had a great experience at this clinic as there was no pain and the staff are very friendly, the dentist who done the surgery /extraction was doctor Joseph and i was comfortable while he done the procedure. The recovery was quick and painless. I had a root canal and it was done by doctor Iudit and there also was no pain in the process she done it very precise and recovery was quick. Doctor Ezequel done a filling and it was quick and easy, thank you to all the staff at this clinic.

Negative experience: Hoje fiquei impressionada com a falta de profissionalismo com a senhora Kelly natal da Shining Smile, solicitei um agendamento com uma dentista que eu já vazia tratamento, moro em Carlow e a clinica fica em Dublin , pois bem, o dia da minha consulta, cheguei na clínica pra ser atendida e para minha surpresa o atendente disse que o meu agendamento tinha sido feito com outro dentista e que a dentista que era para mi atender fazia 10 minutos que tinha ido embora, ou seja perdi a viagem, meu tempo e principalmente a credibilidade pela empresa pois isso mi mostra a falta de respeito e compromisso com o paciente, sinceramente, ainda não sei como uma pessoa dessa que só trabalha com agendamento consegue fazer isso

Negative experience: The staff are nice and friendly, and are very welcoming. I can't say anything bad about their personalities. They're genuinely sound. But why the 1 star? I went here for an implant and they told me I needed braces. When I got the braces on, I asked the orthodontist how to clean them. He told me to watch a YouTube video. He didn't explain the importance of cleaning, the techniques I should use, or any neccessary equipmemt to use for cleaning. He didnt specify any foods for caution. Nothing. I said OK and left thinking he should have at least said something about interdental brushes to clean between the braces. When it was time to take the braces off, my enamel was damaged. Why? Probably because I didnt receive proper education on how to clean my teeth. No leaflet or anything. And his English is so bad he couldn't explain how to. After the braces, my teeth shape looked relatively similar. I still had the gap at the side of my teeth. What was the point? All this at the cost of damged teeth and no difference. Now it was time to get the implant inserted by the surgeon (the main reason I went there). After the implant was inserted, the gum betwen the implant and tooth next to it receeded. I was allowed to leave like that. And when I got home, I noticed it and I wasn't happy at all. I felt a bit depressed. So I went back and told him. He said to give it time and to come back. I did. But time didn’t help. Eventually he did a procedure to allow the gum to come down at the back of my gum. It didn't work. Now it feels like air goes through the gum slighty when I speak. Since the last procedure didnt work, he tried to fix it with a gum graft, which looked promising after the surgery. But when it came to taking the stitches off, the gum was back to the same issue. He said it improved a little. It didn’t. Its the same. And he left some small amount of matarial at the back of my teeth near the gum graft removal site that annoys me, which I'll ll get my new dentist to fix it in the future. During the gum graft surgery, he took a bit off my tooth adjacent to the implant by accident, it seems like. I could feel it and thought about it when it happened. When I looked at it, he clearly tried to fix it with some filler material. It makes flossing the receeding gumline harder, which isnt ideal. Then theirs other things like how the surgeon asked me what was next in the procedure as if it was my job. Then another time they forgot to take the blue stuff of the top of my teeth that was there to create space for braces. OK, mistakes happen you might say. But after a few, you begin to disbelieve that mistakes happen that often. If you make an appointment, be prepared to wait 30 mins plus. Sometines almost or an hour, and then the surgeon walking in more than half your wait. The surgeon isn’t even in the building yet? Why am here now, then? I must've gotten at least 3 moulds done for my teeth there. 1, maybe 2 after dental treatment. But a third? It felt like a hidden payment. I wouldn't recommend going here. They seem like a new dentist with some unprofessional qualilities, like not educating people how to clean teeth with orthodontics or being able to explain themselves clearly because of bad English. Then the waiting ages. And then what seems like hidden payments (maybe im just being petty?), and god that uncomfortable chair, which isnt advisable for older folks. And in that chair they make you sit up awkwardly to spit into the bowl. At least lift the chair up and bring a bowl to my face and make me feel as comfortable as possible as a client. At the end of the day, I blame myself for getting the cheap solution that led to a cheap result. I couldnt afford it and shouldve saved more. But they made it seem possible, and so you were on. Then you were stuck on to stick it out. You either have the full payment or not. No hidden bullshit. That's how it should be. Go somewhere else with many reviews and a high rating.

Fantastic experience: Super recomendo o Dr. Antony para implantes ou tratamentos similares. Anteriormente fui tentar resolver isso no Brasil e voltei pra Irlanda com uma infecção enorme mas graças ao Dr. Antony hoje eu termino o processo do implante com muito sucesso. Ele é brasileiro e um ótimo profissional e nao tenho palavras pra descrever o quanto sou grata a ele.

Negative experience: Me atendieron 55 minutos después de mi hora de la cita. Además querian cobrarme por procedimientos que aún no había hecho ni sabía si necesitaría. El doctor sin abrir mi boca me dio un presupuesto muy lejanos al de sus ofertas, tan siquiera miro cuáles eran mis necesidades así que solo me levanté, dije gracias y me marché.

Negative experience: Bad experience WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!! They are refusing with my medical records and it’s been 4 months of begging they are completely ignoring me!! It’s a money grabbing scheme everytime they find a problem or treatment they “need to do” so that you end up paying more. Zero professionalism, everytime you’re closer to taking your braces off the Dr extends and keeps denying that he ever said they are ready to be taken off… I stopped going to them as more damage was being done to my teeth than fixing and now as they’re refusing with my records and transfer letter I can’t go to another orthodontist. @dentalcouncil please step in. HYGIENE is not so good either the nurses use the same gloves to do everything, tough doors , sign forms and wants to still use them on your mouth I once asked a nurse there to change her gloves before touching my mouth as I noticed she didn’t change the gloves after the patient before me and was still touching doors. The receptionist aren’t welcoming at all too…

Negative experience: I had a TERRIBLE experience at this dental center. A couple of months ago, Dr. Judith performed a root canal on me, but after the procedure, my tooth got infected, I had a bruise on my cheekbone, and my face remained swollen for over three weeks. When I returned desperately seeking help, they couldn’t even find my file. The lack of professionalism is alarming—they only care about making money. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Meses atras fui nesse dentista em um sabado para agendar com um especialista, a dentista que me atendeu era bem jovem e disse que ia dar uma olhada para marcar com ele. Havia acabado de sair um paciente e para examinar minha boca ela usou um espelho que estava todo sujo sobre a bandeja e com cheiro horrível de saliva e sangue, acabara de ser usado, só percebi depois que ela o colocou ao lado dos outros equipamentos usados. Resumindo nunca mais voltei e NÃO recomendo para ninguem!!! Infelizmente nao peguei o nome da dentista que me atendeu, pois isso foi vergonhoso!

Negative experience: Esse lugar e uma piada, fui agendado com um medico e esperei 1 mes ate chegar o dia do atendimento. No dia anterior ao atendimento eles entraram em contato confirmando a consulta, tudo certo ate entao. Sai mais cedo do trabalho e chegando la eles disseram que precisava cancelar e agendar pra depois de 1 mes novamente, nao indico a ninguém pois eles nao tem confiança.

Negative experience: My visits to the Shinning Smile orthodontist Joseph were consistently disappointing. The first and most glaring issue was the chronic tardiness of the orthodontist. Despite scheduling appointments well in advance, it became a frustrating norm that they were never on time. This lack of punctuality conveyed a disregard for my son's time and left us feeling undervalued as a patient. Adding to the frustration, each visit required an excessive amount of waiting. While the actual procedures or check-ups only lasted about 10 minutes, you often ended up waiting close to three hours before being seen. This was particularly inconvenient and disruptive, especially when you had other commitments or responsibilities. The repeated delays created a sense of dread around appointments, as you never knew how long you’d be stuck in the waiting room. The inefficiency was further exacerbated by a lack of clear communication from the staff. There was no effort to provide updates or explanations about the delays, leaving us the dark about why you were waiting so long. The lack of transparency made the experience even more frustrating and gave the impression of disorganization within the office. Over time, the combination of unpunctuality, long waiting times, and inadequate communication left you feeling dissatisfied and disillusioned with the service. What should have been a straightforward experience became a source of monthly stress and frustration. I am not sure I would recommend it.

Negative experience: Acho que após 2 anos de tratamento tenho propriedade pra dizer sobre este lugar. Iniciei o tratamento com aparelho e fiz algumas seções de limpeza e outros procedimentos durante esse período. Nos últimos 4 meses senti que todo retorno mensal não estava surgindo efeito, visto que por vezes nem mesmo alteraram os elásticos do aparelho. No último dia 17/12/2024 fui em uma consulta que supostamente seria para remoção (oque já deveria ter acontecido 2/3 meses antes) informei na recepção que não pagaria por atendimento que não fosse a remoção do mesmo, visto que o Dr responsável pelo início do meu tratamento não estava presente (mesmo a consulta tendo sendo agendada com ele ) , porque nos últimos meses a pessoa que me antedeu não tinha permissão do Dr Joseph para remover, e embora não tivessem feito nada que justificassem pagar 95€ por 5 minutos sentado em uma cadeira para ouvir que está pronto mas preciso confirmar com o Dr(que nunca estava nos meus atendimentos) sempre paguei e não questionei. Na última consulta mesmo informando que não aceitaria pagar por um procedimento não realizado, insistiram para que eu fizesse a consulta e que si não fosse feita a remoção não o teria de pagar. Pois bem, acreditei, fiquei exatos 6min e nada foi feito além de trocar os fios e elásticos antigos (de 30dias atrás) por outros dos mesmo que tecnicamente não mudaria nada(e não precisa ser dentista pra saber isso). E por isso me fizeram pagar outra consulta, e ainda tive que ouvi dizer que teria que seguir fazendo essa “manutenção” até os próximos meses (fevereiro +2meses)quando o responsável estivesse presente para resolver. Oi? Definitivamente não é só pelas horas de esperas que, embora agendadas as consultas nunca fui atendido no horário, com sorte 45 min depois, (mas já esperei 1:40min), mas pela falta de respeito e compromisso, eu saí de lá e agendei uma consulta em outra clínica que prontamente avaliou e fez todo procedimento que não fizeram nesses últimos meses. Espero que si encontrem com instrução e profissionais e dêem aos clientes o respeito que os são devidos. Não vou recomendar.

Negative experience: 3 years ago I had my braces done at this clinic. They're were nice from the first. Dr. Joseph told me that I don't need to wear the braces more than 6 months as my problem was not major. I accepted and roughly after 6-7 months I asked him about my progress and he told me I have to wait another 1-2 months. After another 2 months he told me that I have to wait more as the progress is not as he was thinking. I accepted that as well even I told him I'm not happy and I'm thinking to stop because there was not results and maybe I'll make an appeal in the court because is unacceptable. Since then , I was wearing braces 2 and a half years and I couldn't resist his lies and told him I want my braces removed as I have my wedding in 1 month and don't want them in the pictures. He removed them even I had gaps (still have them ) , and he did some bonding "as a present gift" he said. He left his assistant girl to do the process for the retainers as he goes to have his lunch and when it was done, at the reception they asked me to pay 400€ for removing the braces. Even now , I don't know why I had to pay that amount, but I would never ever recommend this clinic. Now I'm thinking to go and have my braces done in a different place . There is money laundering, nothing else.

Negative experience: Fizeram uma marcação comigo para um horário, porém quando cheguei ao local tive que esperar 1 hora para ser atentido. Quando finalmente fui chamado, o doutor simplesmente disse que não poderia me atender, sendo que era um caso de urgencia e eu tinha explicado com antecedência. Ou seja, um péssimo atendimento e uma falta de consideração com o cliente.

Negative experience: Recentemente, tive uma experiência insatisfatória nessa clínica. Apesar de ter investido um valor considerável e ser minha segunda vez lá, meu problema não foi resolvido e senti que não recebi orientações adequadas. Além disso, fiquei muito desconfortável com o comportamento do homem na recepção (que parece ser o proprietário, mas não tenho certeza disso), que fez comentários desprezíveis sobre os funcionários e pacientes, especialmente aqueles que não falam português, na presença de todos. A recepção estava visivelmente suja e desorganizada. Infelizmente, não posso recomendar este lugar e espero que melhorem esses aspectos para futuros pacientes.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, I did not have a great experience at this clinic. To start with, I had asked for normal braces, which on their price list was €150 top and €150 bottom. I was shocked however when I got my bottom row done and was asked to pay €300. I was confused and then was told that I had gotten self-ligating braces. I didn’t ask for this and was also not told before hand that I would be getting this. Almost every appointment, the dentist was never on time. There were some instances where I was waiting for over an hour to be seen. I remember one time I had been waiting for a while so I asked the receptionist when I would be seen and he laughed and said “the dentist is not even here yet”. Why book me in that early if the dentist isn't even here?? If it happened once or twice I would have let it slide, but almost all the time?? When it was coming towards the end of my braces journey, the dentist had asked if i was ready for them to come off. I had stated to him that there was a massive gap in my two front teeth and i wasn’t happy with that. He then looked at my sheet and said “oh yes you have one more month left”. I may as well have been paid half for doing his job for him. When I got my braces off, there was little care for when I got my retainer mold done, and I got a permanent retainer on the bottom of my teeth. AGAIN, I did not ask for this and was not made aware that I would be getting this. When I got my retainer, I was not told how to care for it at all. Because of this it started to crack and split in half within two months. I decided to go to a different dentist who told me how to care for them, and also told me more about how to care for my permanent retainer too. I had gotten another mold done at this dentist and it was such a gentle. process compared to shining smile. One visit at the end of my appointment, I was asked by the receptionist to leave a review on google. As I was still going there for my braces and the receptionist was looking into my phone, I had no choice but to leave a 5 star review. Im sure the same has happened with most of the 5 star reviews on this… I was in college during my braces journey and was not making alot of money, so the only reason I came to shining smile was because I was told how cheap it was. I should have known there was a reason to this…

Negative experience: Got a root canal done at shining smile dental clinic almost a year ago with the dentist Iudit, which was done incorrectly. They charged me €600 for the root canal.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Ezequiel was incredibly attentive and answered all my questions about my permanent retainer and teeth whitening. He was calm, patient, and explained everything clearly, which was perfect for me since I'm a bit nervous about dentists. I highly recommend him! Now I'm on my way to a brighter smile! ✨ He saw me right on time at 9:30 am, examined all my teeth, and made a mold for at-home whitening! I can't wait to see the results!!!

Negative experience: Nosso agendamento estava marcado para 10:30, fui atendida para fazer a limpeza 11:12. Fui informada pela dentista que seria feito limpeza profunda pois tenho contenção do aparelho e tdo mais. O preço de catálogo para limpeza profunda é de 80 a 100€, quando fui pagar foi me cobrado 120€. A minha limpeza durou em torno de 30 minutos. Meu namorado também fez limpeza, a dele foi informado que seria a simples, segundo o catálogo: 60 a 80€. Quando ele foi pagar foi cobrado 100€. A limpeza dele durou em torno de 15 minutos. Após a limpeza fiquei esperando ser atendida pelo dr Antony para ver meu siso, gostaria de tirar dúvidas com ele, saber o estado, se teria que tirar logo ou poderia esperar mais etc. após quase 2 horas esperando, ele mandou a assistente dele me falar que eu precisava do Raio x para ele me avaliar, fiz o raio x, ela entrou na sala dele e voltou com as informações. Falou sobre meus dentes e disse q teria que tirar e tdo mais, porém, dr Antony nem me atendeu, nem vi ele, foi uma "Consulta de recado" através da assistente dele. Nenhuma dúvida que eu fui disposta a tirar foi sanada. Em resumo, minha experiencia: muita demora no atendimento; com dr Antony não teve atendimento; preços de catálogo não querem dizer nada pq vc paga o que eles definem na hora. Infelizmente, essa foi minha experiência e não recomendo a clínica.

Fantastic experience: I attended this dental clinic yesterday. From start to finish it was an excellent experience. The dentist is my least favourite person to visit and my nerves are usually out of control. The practice is very clean and bright. The staff are friendly & professional. Antonio was gentle & very kind to me. He explained everything and what my future needs could be. He was diligent and gentle with the long over due cleaning of my teeth. I must also say I thought the price I was charged was very fair. I will be returning without anxiety.

Gostaria só de deixar reclamação sobre o agendamento. Fiz a marcação de horário, cheguei no local antes do horário marcado (18h). Eram 18:40h ainda não tinham me atendido. Quando fui na recepção me informar, falaram que a dentista Maria estava fazendo um procedimento e que iria demorar mais 1h. Ou seja, 19:40h. Sendo que minha marcação era pra 18h. Foi quando me informaram que fui agendada como “encaixe” e não como agendamento. Achei falta de respeito comigo como paciente e, pessoalmente digo que não indicarei vocês por esse processo de marcação. O primeiro contato com o cliente é o que fica e o meu foi péssimo. O rapaz da recepção me remanejou pra outra dentista pra não me prejudicar. Mas, como disse, sendo aqui a central de agendamento não me sinto mais confortável em marcar. Gostaria apenas de deixar esse feedback com vocês, para serem mais transparentes com os agendamentos. Nao irei indicar. Texto 2: A tabela de preço que me passaram está totalmente diferente do que me cobraram lá. A minha limpeza seria limpeza de rotina. Tenho cuidados com meus dentes, faço limpeza todo ano, não tenho tártaro nem nada do tipo. Todo ano passo por dentistas pra avaliação. Seria realmente uma limpeza de rotina. Por ser estudante, de acordo com a tabela, seria entre 50 a 60 euros. Me cobraram 100 euros. Perguntei se teria desconto pra estudante, me falaram que já estava incluso, sendo que em nenhum momento antes dei a informação de que era estudante. Na ficha coloquei minha profissão, e não que eu era estudante. Ou seja, o que dá a entender é que dão o preço olhando pra cara da pessoa, e que a tabela é uma mentira. Me senti bastante enganada e desrespeitada. Achei péssima a postura! Quando vim pra Dublin, cheguei a me consultar com dentista Irish e não tive problema algum! Decidi me consultar com brasileiro pra dar valor aos brasileiros que estão aqui fazendo a correria de todo mundo. Pior erro que cometi. Me senti bem enganada. Atualização: ressarciram 40 euros dos 100 que paguei (para ficar no range de 50 a 60 euros de limpeza). Foram bem rápidos nesse estorno, porém ligaram e mandaram mensagem (pessoas diferentes) pedindo pra apagar essa publicação. Não apaguei porque não acho justo. Como disse, se fosse algo pontual, tudo bem. Mas vários amigos passaram pela mesma coisa. E o valor de 40 euros foi o justo do ressarcimento pelo valor passado, e nada além disso. No geral, a avaliação continua sendo ruim (até porque o problema não foi só o valor), mas pelo menos me ressarciram o cobrado a mais sem muito estresse.

Kelly has been amazing with me, she is looking after my appointments and all informations that I need. The dentist Ezequiel has been looking after me and I’m delighted with his care, kindness and of course, with the results. There is a variety of nationalities working in there, such as Brazilian, Venezuelan and Romanian where you can feel comfortable to speak your own language if you a foreigner living in Dublin. I strongly recommend to check their services.

Negative experience: My experiences at Shining Smile Clinic were extremely unsatisfactory. In the first instance, after a restoration by Maria, part of the procedure required correction. Upon arriving for the subsequent appointment, the professional (José) claimed an inability to rectify the situation, stating he had not performed the initial restoration. However, when scheduling the appointment with Kelly via WhatsApp, it was asserted that the professional was aware of the corrective nature of the visit and that there would be no associated costs. This internal lack of coordination was evident. In the second visit, Izequiel, apparently responsible for the clinic, displayed professionalism in resolving my issue. In the second experience, when scheduling a 'night guard' with Kelly, there was inconsistency in the initially stated prices, later corrected by Izequiel during the appointment (doubled the price). I do not recommend the clinic due to a lack of transparency, disrespect toward the customer, and observations of inappropriate conversations between professionals in the presence of clients, indicating a lack of professionalism.

Negative experience: O Dr Ammar fez um trabalho errado numa obturação minha, onde ocasionou uma inflação. Se recusaram a me ajudar durante o fim de semana e fiquei com fortes dores por 4 dias ate que fui internado e perdi o dente, fiquei 20 dias no hospital em estado grave! Muito cuidado com o pos atendimento deles! Sao extremamente irresponsáveis! Dr Ammar did a wrong job on my filling, causing it to become inflated. They refused to help me over the weekend and I was in severe pain for 4 days until I was hospitalized and lost my tooth. I spent 20 days in the hospital in serious condition! Be very careful with their aftercare! They are extremely irresponsible!

Positive experience: I went for a cleaning due to a recommendation from a friend, I have to say they were absolutely I was very impressed with the result! The dentist was very attentive and patient. my only complaint would be that the reception didn't have a great level of English and were a tad inattentive but my overall experience was great!

Negative experience: I've had both positive and negative experiences at Shining Smile Dental Clinic. My first visit was quite promising. I was fortunate to have a Brazilian dentist who spoke Spanish, which was a tremendous help since my English was not very strong at the time. He was not only highly professional but also very kind and understanding. He took the time to explain things clearly, making me feel comfortable and confident about the treatment I was receiving. However, my second visit to the clinic, which was scheduled with Dr. Judit, left me with a different impression. It was a Friday afternoon, and she seemed in a hurry to leave for the weekend. She refused to take me inside the consultation room and instead conducted the examination right at the reception area. This approach felt unprofessional and somewhat rushed. When I inquired about the reason for this, Dr. Judit began explaining the situation using technical words that I couldn't understand. To make matters worse, she instructed the Brazilian receptionist to explain me in Portuguese, by the way language that I don't speak or understand (fail). This left me feeling frustrated and disconnected from the care I was supposed to be receiving. Communication and professionalism is vital in healthcare, and in this instance, it was severely lacking.
