Fantastic experience: I was in recently for a cleaning and check up and I was very impressed with the service and care, Fran and Emma on reception were wonderful and made me feel very reassured, as I do have a fear of dentists, they looked after me so well I felt like I was in good hands with them. Dr. Bogdan was who I had my appointment with and again he was so reassuring and helped me feel calm and took great care of me. Over all my experience was fantastic and I can’t thank the staff enough for looking after me so well, I walked out smiling instead of shaking. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Bogdan Florea for about 8 years now, and I couldn’t be happier with the care I’ve received. He is incredibly meticulous and thorough, always ensuring everything is done to the highest standard possible. He's transparent about treatment options, only suggesting what's necessary for my dental health. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a great dentist. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So, I needed a root canal on a molar. A tricky exercise - but I need not have worried. I struck gold with Dr Bogdan who worked so hard to save my tooth. Meticulous, tenacious and determined - nothing was too much trouble for Dr Bogdan. This was service delivery on a exemplary scale. Add to this super friendly reception staff and super friendly dental assistants .... and u have a stellar combination. In age when service delivery is generally so poor, I was really delighted with my experience with Smiles Bath Avenue and I would be more than happy to recommend them without hesitation .......... and Dr Bogdan in particular.

Negative experience: Unfortunately I have to give 1 star. I’ve had 3 root canals with crowns in my life. The most recent was here at Smiles with Dr Bogdan Florea about 3 years ago. - None of my other crowns ever fall out, but this one does often - The procedure itself was the longest and most painful I’ve had by far - To top it all off the root canal was done poorly (in the opinion of other dentists) and is now failing, meaning I will likely need a very expensive implant because it cannot be repaired So based on my experience I would have to say avoid this dentist.

Negative experience: This was the worst customer service I have ever experienced, and I cannot recommend this place. There was a lot of confusion between the dentist clinic and the orthodontist clinic, which misled me regarding my orthodontic treatment and the process for making new retainers. As a result, I lost money because I was unable to claim back my invoice—it should have been under the orthodontist’s name, but nobody informed me of this. The practice manager was incredibly rude during our phone conversation. She raised her voice instead of trying to help and was completely unprofessional. I paid around 5,000 euros for this treatment—money I worked hard for, and this is the treatment I received in return. I hope the business owner reads these reviews because serious changes need to be made. This is not the first time I have received awful customer service at your clinics, both at Ortho and Smiles Dental.

People who know me would feel I am a very fussy patient So, since I met Dr Oana Maria Ursache there I couldn’t be happier that I finally found a dentist whom I trust a 100%. So professional!! Fantastic experience: Finally at my last appointment today with the great staff at smiles dental. Over the last 3 years, I have had dental surgery, orthodontic work and placement of an implant. All I can say is thank you. The service, the treatment plan, all of my dentists working together to get the best outcome for me has been just amazing Big shout out to Luis, Eduardo and Donna who have been with me since day 1. During Covid lockdowns they were the only human connection I had to the world. They have been on this journey with me and I will be forever grateful. Dental work can be daunting but if you are thinking of it, take the first step , make the appointment, it may be a long road, but one worth smiling about at the end. Thanks all.

Fantastic experience: I had not been to dentist since before covid and was long over due a visit even back then. I had to face my fear, neglect and embarrassment regarding the poor state of my gums. Dr. Florea of smiles Dental Bath Avenue, together with his assistants and helpful reception staff, ( Fran and colleagues ) all were supremely professional in how they dealt with my issue and how I presented myself to the clinic as a nervous patient. In addition, Dr Florea exercised a level of skill in his knowledge, understanding, taking time to listen to my concerns and not making me feel negative about my issue, which I never expected to receive or had experienced before, given the condition of my inflammation of gums .He did what he had to do in a positive manner without my ending up feeling dread. He cleaned and scaled away the build up of tartar below gum lines for every tooth with absolute precision using equipment with a skill that was more than impressive. I felt zero pain except for a tiny pinch for a millisecond which was unavoidable due to level of inflammation of my gums. It was a most remarkable treatment carried out with superior care. The past week since my visit there is no more bleeding of gums whatsoever when I brush and my gums are noticeably more pink and firm in condition. Immediate difference and no after pain at all. I cannot overstate how this has made me feel on a personal level and how it has boosted my confidence again. I am very grateful for what was a powerfully first class service. Dr Florea and his staff are a most valuable asset not just to Smiles Dental but to the entire Dental profession we are lucky to have available in Ireland. I have a follow up in six months and an in between referral to ensure continued treatment however I am confident I am getting the best treatment possible for the best outcome. I am already seeing the benefits. That is so much appreciated for which my thanks will endure always.

Fantastic experience: Visited Smiles yesterday and another great treatment I have received there. The clinic is very neat and clean lovely reception and staff. Finally i can smile again without shame .my teeth are well looked after here! Thanks guys!!!

Negative experience: The dentist here was very nice, however my husband and I felt that our cleanings were not nearly as thorough as we are used to. They also charged us €20 EACH (not covered by insurance) for added covid precautions?? More importantly, the dentist said we both had multiple cavities, and that my husband needed to have his wisdom teeth out immediately. I had mine filled, while my husband waited to return to his usual family dentist. When he got the appointment with the other dentist, he was informed he had no cavities at all, and that the wisdom teeth were nowhere near ready to have out and could maybe be avoided altogether. No way of knowing if I actually had cavities or not and wasted our money. Smiles are either inexperienced or a total scam.

Negative experience: While this place has good hours if you work all day, they certainly need to improve in other areas. Receptionist not wearing her mask properly, dentist not wearing a proper surgical mask but some weird thing with a respirator that he kept taking off when standing near me in a closed room while I have mine off. I had a little bit of sensitivity and a brown spot on my tooth. He takes an x-ray, and it’s not a cavity but suddenly he starts scaring me with talk about possibly getting an abscess and needing a root canal. Absolutely unbelievable thing to say to a nervous person who didn’t actually have anything wrong other than some plaque causing sensitivity. The receptionst said that my insurance did not state I would have an x-ray even though they did because I confirmed it with her and she checked what they sent and it was in the form they sent. If I didn’t ask her to check I would have had to pay. I will not be coming back. EDIT: I forgot to mention they charge €12 extra that they claim that insurance won’t pay for. No other dental office is like this. They could just put the fees into what they charge. What am I paying for? The dentist’s non-surgical/non-medical mask that he kept taking off to speak? No one was wearing PPE besides and dentists already are supposed to wear masks when performing procedures. If I knew that money was actually going towards proper PPE being used then I’d have no issue with it but it’s clear this place doesn’t care about COVID protocols.

Negative experience: I went in for a new crown and 2 veneers as they had an offer on crowns €300 and the receptionist said I could pay the €300 for my crown in 6 months when I got the braces off .The dentist told me I qualified for the 6 month braces and advised me to get them instead of the veneers so that’s what I did.The braces were on for over 2 years with very little improvement so I asked for them off as I was sick of them at that stage and was due to get married So the dentist removed them and put some sort of paste over my teeth that slowly flaked off after a few month , I can only assume it was some sort of temporary quick fix to improve imperfections.Then to top it all off the receptionist told me my crown was now €600 instead of €300 like I was told in the beginning ,their argument was that the offer was 2 years ago as if it was my fault the 6 month braces were on for over 2 years , I have more complaints but I couldn’t be bothered to type anymore what’s the point . What a waste of money and so much time .

Fantastic experience: I already reviewed this practice but didn't add the ** so here I go again - a very brief version!! The best dental clinic I have ever visited. Implants, cleaning and check-ups to an impending extraction (normally I wld be petrified of same) but not when I'm having it done with this highly professional and caring practice. For me Smiles is 10 out of 10. Well done to all the staff there Just want to add to this review following my last couple of appointments. I can't speak highly enough of this practice from the reception staff (mostly dealt with Fran) who is friendly, super efficient and professional. Dr Luis Swarez is an exceptional surgeon and I felt so comfortable and at ease in his care. It was such a pleasure to deal with him. Dr Maria also did 3 composite fillings for me and they feel like "new teeth". I would highly recommend this clinic on every level.

Fantastic experience: Simply superb! Dr Luis and Dr Bogdan are absolute gentlemen. I am a very nervous patient due to my super sensitive teeth. But once I had Bogdan treat me, my nerves dissolved. He is the most patient, gentle and effective dentist. He kept checking back in with me and never pushing through to finish up but always making sure that I was comfortable with the amount of pressure. It took 5 other dental practices to find this level of empathy and skill. I am never going anywhere else. It's a really beautiful, uplifting space too.

Fantastic experience: I have used the dentist on Bath Avenue a few years ago before it was Smiles. I have had a lot of experience with dentists, and have had a couple teeth removed in the past so I have experience in that area also. Dr Luis Suarez was excellent as an oral surgeon. He was calm and reassuring and talked through each of the processes he was doing to extract the wisdom tooth. He gave me enough Novocaine so I was pain free during the procedure so I didn't feel any discomfort. Dr Suarez did everything right, and my tooth was out in a very short time and I was done. I was delighted!!! The price for the extraction was very reasonable also, and I do have a lot of dentist visits in my life to compare. I would definitely use them again, and have, Talk to them if you have any questions or concerns as I found them very helpful.

Negative experience: Do not go there. Payed a lot of money for 6 veneers . And 5 years later they are all falling out. Absolute nightmare. And they were not cheap.

Negative experience: I had an Ortho treatment with them and during the consultation they told me it won’t take more than one year wearing the braces. And it ends up wearing them for nearly THREE years without reaching 70% of what I was looking for. They changed the doctor more than 4 times and always there were a delay and cancelling appointments and Doctors are not professional enough, as they don’t put enough strength when they tighten the braces as they were scared and naive.

I went in for a regular check up and Dr. Ali Khan was my dentist , nothing else than praise to give to Dr. Ali Khan whom is extremely professional and patient with nervous patients along with his assistants. Negative experience: I am reqular patient of Smile Dental. I’ve made an appointment through a phone call and shared my VHI dental insurance policy at the time of booking my appointment but after my treatment the reception girl asked me to pay in full for my treatment and claim it back from VHI This wasn’t the case in the past visits and this is one of the reason I do come to Smile and it’s approved by my insurance and don’t need to pay for the scale and examination. Also due to Covid they charged me additional €18 which she asked me to pay for it cash on the day and she insisted that this will not be covered by Vhi. However, Vhi just confirmed this was eligible and smile had it claimed from Vhi. So now I need to ask for refund as they charged me & my insurance. The reception wasn’t friendly at all and she need to improve her customer service and her knowledge of the process of claims.

Fantastic experience: My experience with smiles in bath avenue far exceed any other dental practice i have been to prior. Im generally a very nervous person when it comes to dentists from previous bad experiences at different practices. However, when i got to the practice i was greeted by two lovely and bubbly girls at the reception. Both Fran and the other girl who's name escapes me right now, could not do enough to make me feel both welcome and less nervous. After speaking with Dr. Ali he put me at ease about my treatment. I cannot recommend the smiles bath avenue branch enough for their professionalism and ease of visit

Negative experience: Was very annoyed by the dentist’s attitude towards me. The dentist rolled her eyes when I said I was from another jurisdiction which I found very unwelcoming. She also assumed I put the wrong date of birth down as I look quite young for my age. she said to me “i thought you were a spoiled little 17 year old with your perfect teeth”. (A totally wrong assumption as dental/orthodontics is generally free until age 18 where I’m originally from). She also said I needed 3 fillings replaced...I have never even had any fillings done! Was 20 mins late to be seen with no explanation from rude reception staff, who also had no problem complaining about their work colleagues/ work matters with 2 people in their waiting room. Also transparency around prices is nonsense as I was told one price on the phone and charged differently at the till. Would not recommend at all. Totally unfair to take someone’s hard earned money and treat them so disrespectfully. Felt their service was nothing but downright rude! Will not be back here!

Negative experience: dentist was fantastic but the reception staff are very unprofessional. I was quoted a totally different price on the phone . €220 I was charged, was not prepared or advised. When I asked the receptionist about these costs she was really rude and told me I consented that dentists dont just go ahead that I obviously consented in the treatment room. I advised that if I had of known the prices or what exactly the dentist was doing, that maybe going forward it would be better if people were made aware of this if they had of explained each cost for each treatment €40 Consult not true just be aware!!

Negative experience: Absolutely no loyalty to their clients. Had to wait a week to get an appointment to fill a chipped tooth (which had been filled there a few months previous) and when I arrive on the day of the appointment the dentist told me he couldn’t do it as the receptionist had only booked me in for a 15minute slot. I had called several times days previous to see if there were any cancellations as I was concerned that the tooth would chip further, explaining every time the situation, so it was astounding to find that they had booked me in for 15mins. So basically a complete waste of a trip. This clinic lacks the basic competencies required to run a practice, avoid if at all possible.

Fantastic experience: Really happy with the cleaning & composite veneers by Dr. Maria. Really makes a big difference to my smile & confidence. Would definitely recommend Dr Maria as she is very thorough and did a great job.

Fantastic experience: Dentist Doctor Bogdan and Nurse Amanda were great. I was there for an emergency appointment as a tooth had split the previous night. Having stated I didn't want to return for a year, as well as removing the broken part of my tooth, Bogdan, gave me a temporary filling, some spare DIY filling material and Amanda gave me some toothpaste. Amanda X-rayed my jaw at the beginning and the price for all the treatment was much lower than I was expecting. Thank you Smiles!

Negative experience: Absolutely wouldn’t recommend this place, I’ve gotten braces done here, they are extremely unhelpful and very unprofessional and don’t seem to have a clue what they are doing. My teeth are worse now, I went in will less problems then I came out with. This place is a joke please don’t use this place I’ve had a horrible experience.

Negative experience: I had a check up and clean here about a year ago, I asked for a full hygienist clean but received only a 5 minute clean by the dentist. The dentist and dental nurse were extremely friendly but unfortunately the work was not. This week I decided to go to a different dentist near my home and the dentist there told me the filling I received in my dental will have to be taken out and re-done, they completely looked over the health of my teeth and did a quick fix of something that needed more care. If you are looking to really get your teeth cleaned and the best care taken then I would recommend going elsewhere.

Negative experience: Dental hygiene lasted 7 minutes, performed by a dentist, not even a dental hygienist. After a consultation, including an X-ray scan, they couldn't tell whether or not I had cavities, which if you have ever been to a dentist, it's just not the way it should work. I would give -5 starts if I could, pretty bad experience.

Negative experience: Horrible service and they ignore emails. Had 3 fillings done very poorly which I complained about but they ignore my emails and tell me they'll get the Manager to call tomorrow, which never happens! I'm also due a refund which they are ignoring, I'm now going to legal route.

Negative experience: I had an implant done in My Dental which started to fail three years after it was put in. My current dentist didnt have to explain in detail why the ‘screw’ my expensive implant was put on was not doing it’s job I could clearly see from the X-rays myself. I also had a sinus lift to provide more stability for the implant yet the screw was not long enough. A complete waste of money and time. Would have paid more for a reliable service that will stand over heir records at least up to 5 years after a procedure.

Fantastic experience: Just got my braces off this evening and have to say I’m delighted. Sonia, Jaime and Gabby were amazing, they were patient, check ups were quick and informative and treatment was top class (especially considering I needed braces off ASAP before emigrating) Had a filling with Maria too, also very knowledgeable and friendly. Receptionists were always accommodating with appointments when booking in advance. Facilities were clean and it’s centrally located. Thanks guys

Negative experience: I went there and seen a dentist. Paid 50E after he told me that he does not have the tools to fix my problem. I asked at the reception to have the Xray emailed to me as the dentist could not do anything and she told me that I have to pay 35E for that and then she hang up the phone. Very disappointing. Please avoid this clinic.

Negative experience: I got a retainer and was shocked that the orthodontist didn’t check to see that it fit me correctly. The receptionist just handed it to me and said “you can check yourself in the bathroom.” Also, every time I emailed the front desk (to make appointments, Query the cost for proposed work, and to check status of retainer) my email was ignored and I had to follow up. Also the receptionists are a little rude in general. It’s a fly by night “dental clinic”

Negative experience: I had an appointment that they cancelled due to the dentist being off sick. I made a new appointment that they cancelled the practice being closed. I was informed that they would contact me to arrange a new appointment within a few days. One week later they didn't contacted me. I called them and made another appointment. So, my first appointment date was set at, circa, 2 months after my inital call. In terms of patient service my first impression is that this group appears to be invested in quantity which could potentially adversely impact service quality.

Negative experience: I had an appointment with my dental today in ballsbridge with Dr Ignacio barbon. And I had to drive all the way from clondalkin in lunch hour traffic. I left an hour before hand but still arrived 5 min's late. They left me waiting for at least a half an hour and Dr Ignacio was not a bit helpful he was ignorant and refused to do a bridge on my teeth.. Where my own dentist said it's no problem. I won't be recommending my dental to anyone. Maybe I was having a bad day but Dr Ignacio their was no need to be as rude as you where. Your loss off 3000.

Fantastic experience: Just finished my dental treatment at this clinic today. I would highly recommend Mydental for a very positive and professional experience. I was under the care of Dr. Victor Alaponte and Barbara. Dr. Alaponte was so professional and yet so friendly to do all he could to make a difficult procedure very comfortable for me. Well worth the journey to Dublin!! Will definitely be back!!

Fantastic experience: Wow where do I start, I have had a phobia of dentists since I was 16 years old and I had not visited one since that age, I am now 36 and had a few aches starting to give me some pain. I had heard of mydental and some people who had work done there who said they were fantastic. So I decided I needed to bite the bullet and called them! From the time I called the receptionist to seeing the dentist the first time I was very nervous and nearly didn’t go but from the time I walked into the building I was put at ease by the amazing team at the practice. I had a lot of work done and have had my phobia eased greatly if not almost completely gone. I can not recommend mydental highly enough and I will be back to visit them without fear.

Fantastic experience: My teeth were all over the place at the front, crooked and bucked, parents couldnt afford the braces on offer here last year but cane across an add for brsces at €995. We Couldn't believe it. Have them in6 months now and to me they look perfect. Idbe hapoy for them to come off but the orthodontist said they need to stay in for a lot longer. My bite needs tobe fixed. Great place friendly stzff and atmosphere .. highly recommended

Fantastic experience: Lost my front tooth and needed a lbs implant and other work done . Was very worried and a little distressed before my appointment thinking about what I was going to go through but I shouldn’t have worried .. from start to finish it was an amazing experience. In fact the only pain I felt was from stretching my jaw for the duration of the treatment.. my new tooth is perfect.. I now also have a beautiful new smile with a few crowns as well as the implant. The staff at the desk were wonderful.. the total cost of my treatment was half of what I was quoted in two other dental clinics .. The clinic is beautiful and ultra modern Only complaint I had was that it was really difficult to get an appointment ... the implantilogist was booked for 6 weeks in advance but they got me in after 3 weeks on a cancellation .. I can honestly say that I am looking forward to my next visit and I hate the dentist! Thanks to all but particularly to Dr. Alapont. A brilliant and gentle dentist .

Negative experience: Booked an appointment over the phone only to be told no one had recorded it. Perhaps have online booking if your staff are too incompetent to do it?

Fantastic experience: Rang to book, got an appointment a week later. Arrived on time, was seen on time, was treated courteously the whole way through. Service was brilliant as was the price. Second time I've been there and the second time the same experience. Will be back.

Negative experience: I had put a filling a other dentist. But still felt pain and came to this dental. I had see a Dr. Esther Navarro. She said wait and see about a mouth. Please come here, if you pain. I came here again and had replacement of filling. But she did next to tooth. So different one. Besides my bottom and top teeth near the tooth that she gave replacement of filling was chipped. I asked her about that. She said when I blown some air into your teeth, you said this one feel pain. That's why I did. I think this was poor decision as a dentist. Just one way. If you are professional you should check more and should make decision which tooth need replacements of filling. We talked what tooth I pain first time, though. About chipped she just said repeating I don't know. I was so disappointed and sad. Besides she became emotional. She was not professional.

Fantastic experience: Great service and extremely modern techniques , had not been to the dentist in a year . Like most I fear the dentist however this was a place I will definitely go back to.

Negative experience: I wasn't too happy about my service here. The orthodentis are friendly, but there is a major lack of communication. I got 6 months braces which actually took a whole 24 months simply because brackets weren't placed properly and had to be changed numerous times. I felt like I had to constantly be telling them what to do i.e. to push my teeth more forward or to move a tooth more out etc. Normally as an orthodentist they should tell me what should be done to achieve the best teeth I can. All this delayed the process. I had to switch halfway through luckily the second orthodentist did a better job. Another disappointment is that I got only the top arch and my orthodentist said that's fine your bottom teeth are straight enough. She did not warn me that getting top braces alone could result in an overbite as the teeth would be pushed out to make space. And the bottom would remain in their position. So I now have an overbite that's quite obvious thanks to not being informed. I feel had this been told to me i would have got them together. What's worse is I went to another orthodentics and within 2 minutes of seeing my teeth they said that I should have gotten bottom braces too. Yet here i was told they are fine. Total lack of information overall. Efforts made in the end with the second orthodentist however

Negative experience: Got 2 calls postponing. Waited 3 months for an appointment for consultation for a veneer. Was in there for about 2 minutes. Dentist nurse was friendly but reception wasnt. Dentist was unhelpful. Disappointed after seeing it on SoSueMe. Won't be going there again

Negative experience: I went there with my boyfriend for an appointment this afternoon, but having to find out our appointment was cancelled because their dentist was leaving. We received no phonecall or email letting us know that, but they said they left a voicemail but we checked and there wasn't any. We left the clinic feeling really disappointed and irritated because we just basically got told off with no alternative arrangements made and secondly we live far from ballsbridge so coming up was a complete waste of time.

Positive experience: Good place .. highly recommend

Negative experience: Really poor service. Went to get my mouth piece fitted for teeth whitening which went fine and was told it would be ready to collect the next day. Late the following evening I recieved a call saying it would not be ready and that it would definitely be ready the next day. I couldn't collect it that day so I left it another day (Friday) thinking it would surely be ready but again I was told no it was not ready but 100% it would be ready the next day. Again I left it to the Monday and once again it wasn't ready. I was told to wait 15mins while they did it and 45mins later I finally received my teeth whitening kit a week later with a bare apology.

Fantastic experience: I am over the moon with the result of the new crowns I have just had placed on my 2 front teeth in MyDental with Dr. Victor. My old crowns were only placed 8 years ago, but despite the fact they cost me an absolute fortune they alway looked false and there was a horrible black hue around the gum line. Having had perfect teeth until I fell off my bike and smashed my 2 front teeth I was alway disappointed with how the crowns looked in photos. The new crowns match my natural teeth perfectly and look totally natural. I can't recommend MyDental's service and professionalism enough and their price was extremely competitive. Thanks guys

Negative experience: 4 root canals I had done need work re done I was told by a specialist they were half done.

Fantastic experience: I have to say, I was never one for liking my visits to the dentist but My Dental totally changed this for me. In March of this year, I contacted the clinic and requested an emergency appointment as I was in such pain and couldn't take it any longer! When I arrived at the clinic, I was seen to straight away by Dr. Victor. I was told that I would need a root canal treatment and luckily enough for me there was a cancellation so I could have it done right away! Dr Victor and his nurse were more than helpful and the relief I felt after this visit was unbelievable. I left the clinic with no more pain and felt like I had really been looked after and accommodated. I looked forward to coming back to see Dr. Victor and the MyDental team to start the preparations for my porcelain crown. Many months later, I've had no troubles or issues with my tooth! I was very satisfied with the service here and I'd recommend the clinic to everyone. Their prices are unbeatable and it's very evident that they are passionate about the services they provide. A++

Fantastic experience: Overall I had a very good experience with MyDental. I got braces with Dr. Natalia and found her very nice and friendly, half way through my treatment I had an issue with my wisdom teeth and MyDental were very quick to get me an emergency appointment with Natalia and she helped me and checked it out and then she got sometime to ring me back a few days later to check how I was, which was very much so appreciated. I got my braces off with Dr. Carmen and found her very friendly and caring, she also put in composite and made my smile even better, which she didn't have to do but did it anyway. They were sometimes running late, but can't hold that against them. Also found the waiting area comfortable and the free wifi in the waiting area made it easier to wait. I also liked the way the appointments were booked by you, so that it could suit my timetable and I could choose when to come.
