Riverpoint Dental Clinic: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Ok
Fantastic experience: The centre is in the tower block. A phone call to the receptionist confirmed this! The disabled car spaces are not available too nearby. I now await to have an extraction. Finance may prevent this. But I will try. COVID meant no dental treatment. And HSE unless an emergency dental problem could be 3 years wait . Returned 30th May and received the most astounding care, understanding and generosity. Dr Padraig was sorry he could not save my tooth but Dr Norma O'Connor the oral surgeon did everything to put me at my ease to book me in for a medical extraction later. I am 81 and am on blood thinners so my dentist of 20 years was unable to agree to extract the guilty molar! I don't blame her! I return here 27th June and look forward to this highly qualified and professional team help me get on with living life without letting the negatives of older age stop me! Thanks to the caring highly efficient administrative team.
Negative experience: €150 for a check up = 1 Star
Fantastic experience: I was there today with Deidre the hygienist. I was very impressed her cleaning and care is excellent. Went through step by step put great time and effort into cleaning my teeth the best
Fantastic experience: Best experience ever
Fantastic experience: A dentist visit is not something any of us look forward to but I cannot recommend the Riverpoint Dental Clinic highly enough. Incredible patient care, beautiful relaxed setting with a special thank you to Dr Norma O'Connor and Clodagh in Oral surgery for taking such great care of me for my wisdom tooth extraction.
Negative experience: I had a very positive experience with Dr Durack last year for a root canal. He was extremely professional and courteous. However, when I went to his colleague Dr McAuliffe the service slipped dramatically. I went to Dr McAuliffe for the second part of the root canal procedure. The crown. I was only in the chair 3mins for the crown appointment and was told I had a lobsided smile and would require 5veneers to straighten it out. Not what I was there for and I also wondered would he have said this to a man? I was there for my crown. I also made an appointment to have a filling redone on my front tooth and this was cancelled by the surgery, on the same day, three times. The last time was today and I informed the surgery I would no longer be attending. It is extremely frustrating as when the receptionist called yesterday to confirm todays appointment I told her I had two separate people organised to mind my kids while I travelled from Ballina as one needed pick up from Montessori while the baby was minded at home. It took a lot of organising on my behalf to make this appointment as I am on Maternity leave. Then I get a phone call with less than two hours notice asking me to move my appointment to 3 hours later which was not possible. I would not recommend Dr McAuliffe on many levels.
Fantastic experience: I got a periodontal cleaning with Dr.Michael Nolan , highly recommend, , he was so caring and professional and made me feel so relaxed and comfortable, he did a great job with my teeth very happy with the results , Sheila he’s assistant I can’t praise her enough beautiful lady inside and outside.
Negative experience: The reason not recommend to this clinic is because the dentist not willing to talk to the translator when the client isn’t a native English speaker. Even though the client got a confirmation from reception to allow the translator to talk with dentist on the phone.
Negative experience: Never going again. Very bad experience. Wasted an hour waiting for my father’s implants appointment and not been seen because he doesn’t have good English. So unfriendly to foreigners.
Fantastic experience: I have been to numerous dentists and specialists in Ireland - I've met them all. Truthfully, Dr Emily Clarke is the best. I have total confidence in her, and respect for her professionalism after three years of treatment. She saved several teeth and brought my gum infection under control. Dr Clarke also had to extract two molars for me, and honestly, her work was excellent; I've had extractions that were not done as well. Nowadays, I go to Deirdre, the oral hygienist, and she is just fantastic. A lovely person, who is also excellent at her work. The receptionists are all lovely, friendly and very efficient. Everybody in Riverpoint Dental is prepared to go the extra mile. You get what you pay for here... professional and trustworthy dental care. With a fabulous view over the river.
Fantastic experience: First visit. Very happy with the care. All staff very helpful and professional
Negative experience: Go elsewhere, or you might feel you were ripped off! I first attended Riverpoint and had a gum examination and X-rays which cost €150. I was told I'd need further treatment and was given 2 appointments for periodontal treatment quoted at a total of €800. Obviously at €400 per appointment I was expecting that the treatment would take quite a lot of work and time. I attended the first appointment, I was hardly there for much more than 1 hour and most of that time was waiting to be seen and waiting for the local anaesthetic to work. The treatment itself was quite quick and straightforward. I left feeling that I'd been ripped off. I checked the prices of some local dentists and found I could’ve received a Periodontal treatment with local anaesthetic for €140, so I never went back to Riverpoint for the second appointment.
Fantastic experience: Beautiful architecture.
Fantastic experience: Conor repaired a front tooth for me on Monday, I am so impressed with the job, thanks Conor and team
Negative experience: Unprofessional. Not telling patients that a consultation is €100 is simply not okay. Ye wait till they sit in the chair do 30 seconds (after waiting half an hour overtime) of work then say that’s €100. Do your job and tell them before they go in and waste their time.
Fantastic experience: Have been to Riverpoint dental clinic today and found everybody there veryy helpful and very professional.was very nervous and had to get a wisdom tooth out they totally took the fear away and it was all over in 20 minutes. Did not realise it was out untim they removed the bib and glasses. Would highly recommend them. Mary Ryan.
Negative experience: Spent 3 years and wasted a lot of money with no solutions. The problem only got worse and they don't like to take any responsibility. My advice is to steer clear and go somewhere else. To them it is all about the money and not the interest of the client.
Negative experience: Not very helpful when I was in extreme pain after an extraction. Would not recommend
Fantastic experience: Excellent. Conner was great and really helped me when I was in terrible pain. Managed to get me in when they were very busy. Much appreciated.
Fantastic experience: Excellent service . Very professional .
Fantastic experience: Excellent service from Dr.Jennifer McCaffrey
