Fantastic experience: I recently completed my orthodontic treatment with Dr.Byrne. I am so thrilled with my end result. The team at Cork Dental Smiles were so accommodating in relation to my busy work schedule. I felt so welcomed anytime I attended the practice. This was my second time having my fixed braces on therefore I was really particular with my end result of my braces, Dr.Byrnes professionalism and knowledge made me feel so comfortable and confident in all her work throughout! Any questions or concerns I had Dr.Byrne always listened to me and appreciated my concerns! Once completing my treatment that aftercare I received with whitening trays and dental hygiene products did not go unnoticed. I felt so comfortable throughout my treatment, I decided to carry on my routine checks with Dr.Byrne as opposed to my previous general dentist. I travel a 40 minute journey to attend Cork Dental Smiles, however I wouldn’t have it any other way! Fantastic experience: Highly Recommend Dr. Maria Byrne and Cork Dental Smiles! I completed my Invisalign treatment a few years ago and still couldn't be happier with the results! Dr. Maria Byrne and her team were amazing throughout the entire process. From start to finish, Maria's extensive knowledge and professionalism always put me at ease, and the whole team made every visit comfortable and stress-free. I recently returned for new night retainers, which was another smooth and accommodating experience. I highly recommend Cork Dental Smiles for anyone looking for top-notch dental care in Cork.

Negative experience: I feel compelled to leave this review after my experience today. I received Invisalign treatment many years ago from this clinic. Despite the massive cost of Invisalign treatment, Invisalign patients are still expected to pay €600 every few years for replacement Vivera retainers. However, I was informed today via email that the price is now an extortionate €850 for three sets of 3D printed retainers, which have the text "Made in Mexico" on the packets. I asked why the fee had increased from €600 to €850 and was told that "lab fees have increased since 2019". I find a 41% increase to be quite concerning. The email replies became quite curt as they went on, and I received no response to my last email, which highlighted that the price now listed on the website is €800, not €850. Screenshot of the price on their website below. I decided to phone around and found several clinics both in Cork and Dublin that provide the exact same service for half the cost, €450 and €500 for example. I find it very curious that this "lab" is apparently charging vastly different fees, and it seems to me like I paid far too much for the set I purchased back in 2019 as well. As such, I am not comfortable, nor will I be returning to this clinic for any service going forward, and would urge clients to shop around for their replacement retainers.

Fantastic experience: Firstly I cannot thank Dr. Maria and her team enough. She is an amazing dentist. I would advise anyone looking for the perfect smile to attend cork dental smiles for their treatment. Maria is a perfectionist and really cares about patients receiving maximum results. I am 27 and had my braces for just under 2 years. The fact of my age really left me unhopeful ontop of every other dentist advising me in order to correct my over bite (also known as a reverse smile) that I would in fact need jaw surgery and the bite may only fix 50 to 60 percent at most. I got my braces off this week and low and behold my bite is 100% perfect.! No surgery needed and my teeth come over the bottom as if nothing was ever wrong and I never had any bite issues. I cried when I saw my results and that is down to Maria's expertise and her wealth of knowledge. I wish I could attach pictures here but if you visit the Facebook or Instagram they should be there shortly. You will know my case as a reverse smile is very rare. My teeth looked like an umbrella. Today they now look like I have had some composite venners. Forever greatful to Maria and her team. I can finally be confident after 27 years. I can never thank the clinic enough.

Negative experience: At first I thought I was happy with it. But I was wrong! I needed a health receipt of what they did to me because I am a student and I have my health insurance. It means that they need documents which I asked for in the dentist, and after lots of emails, and visiting the centre three times to obtain a document, they do not even care or pay attention to a vulnerable student that can not afford it. Summarizing, not recommendable.

Fantastic experience: So relieved to have found a practice I instantly felt confident in. Decided to change practicitioners from a chain owned dentist to Cork Dental Smiles which is local to me. After today's great visit, I'd go even if it wasn't local! Dr Maria instantly made me feel in such professional hands and she's so pleasant I imagine she has a great way with nervous patients. PLEASANTLY surprised with the exam fee as I've already used my PRSI this year, and for the customer service, the welcome and the feel of the clinic itself I was imagining the exam fee would be alot more than what it was! Feeling relieved and confident in returning for my filling.

Fantastic experience: Im a basket case when it comes to going to the dentist and I avoid them like the plague. I found Marie Byrne about 7 years ago and what a great person and a excellent dentist. She relaxes you and makes you comfortable. I can’t say enough about her service and will highly recommend her dental practice to everyone including children. Thanks Marie.

Fantastic experience: I decided to go into Maria in Cork Dental Smiles in October 2020 and it was one of the best decisions of my life. My teeth beforehand were always crooked and I was often self conscious of my smile. Fast forward 2 and a half years later and my teeth are perfect. I now have the utmost confidence in my smile , would highly recommend Cork Dental Smiles to anyone looking to find their perfect smile.

Negative experience: Can't recommend. Both the filling and the scale & polish had do be redone shortly after by another dentist. Was told the tooth was still full of cavities.

Fantastic experience: I have been terrified of going to the dentist for as long as I can remember, but Dr Maria puts me at such ease every time I visit, she is absolutely fantastic and gets treatments done so quickly without any pain or discomfort. Fantastic experience: I began orthodontic treatment 2 years ago and have frequently been visiting Dr. Maria. The atmosphere and professionalism by all team members is outstanding. Dr Maria gave me the perfect reason to smile, even during a pandemic!! Like many people, I had the fear of visiting the dentist however Dr. Maria and her team create such a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere it really puts you at ease. She is very gentle and never causes any pain or discomfort even with complicated cases such as my own. I am over the moon with my results and can't stop smiling!! I cannot recommend Dr. Maria enough. Fantastic experience: I just finished orthodontic treatment with Dr. Maria Byrne from Cork Dental Smiles. I am beyond happy with my result, it has brought me so much more confidence. I got traditional metal wired braces and the whole treatment process from start to finish was flawless. Dr. Maria and staff create such a friendly, welcoming and calm clinic. Positive experience: Just comparing this clinic to my previous dental hygienist experiences. Cork dental smiles was the only place where only some of the teeth were polished (apparently only the problematic ones). Where in my past visits to other clinics every tooth got the same treatment regardless of it’s condition. Cork dental smiles just gave me a little scrape and “polished” 4 of my teeth.

Negative experience: I called 5 weeks ago and took the time to explain what was my situation in case there were no able to do it. They confirmed me that all would be good. I went there for orthodontic's care and they told me that they could not do anything for me. I had to pay 50 euros just for 3 minutes ! They could tell me that 5 weeks ago and I would not have lost time and money , That is a disgrace ! Thanks a lot

Fantastic experience: I visited Cork Dental Smiles early last year to enquire about getting some orthodontic work done ahead of my wedding in August this year. From the very beginning everyone was very welcoming and the service was absolutely brilliant. The work needed was extensive, and after 15 months with a brace I can't get over the quality of the results. Consistently getting comments from friends/family about how good my teeth are now. All through the process, Maria was very open and honest about the options in terms of the type of brace and the timing, always advising on the options in detail. Each step was explained very simply, and the reason for each adjustment along the way was made clear also. As with most people, I wouldn't ever have enjoyed a trip to dentist in the past but the friendly welcome and easy going nature of the team at Cork Dental Smiles made each visit stress free. They were always very accommodating when it came to appointments and working around lunch hours, which was a big help meaning my time out of work was never significant. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I don't have good teeth and I usually dread going to the dentist but this is not the case with Maria Byrne. Maria is lovely and does a fantastic job, I don't hate my teeth anymore. She answers all my questions and seems very sensible in her approach. I couldn't recommend her more.

Fantastic experience: I was visiting Cork for the weekend. Unfortunately on the first night we arrived I started suffering a lot of pain from what turned out to be an abscess. Thankfully, Cork Dental Smiles were able to fit me in with short notice on a Friday afternoon and looked after me. Everyone was so helpful and friendly and it meant I could go and enjoy the rest of the weekend. Thanks again :)
