Fantastic experience: I recently had a root canal done with Dr. Hannah. From the moment I walked through the door I knew I had made the right decision, from the reception staff to Dr. Hannah and her assistant everyone was so welcoming and made me feel at ease. The procedure was completely pain free and Hannah made sure to reassure me throughout the treatment. She is an ultimate professional at what she does and I would highly recommend her and the team at South Dublin Dental

Negative experience: I used to attend the clinic when it was located in Foxrock. Dr. Alec is a nice guy and has the best of equipment. However, I had a filling that came out many times and he replaced it without charge, but he really should have removed the tooth after a couple fillings. I now have ongoing dental issues, I'm not sure how I'll resolve. Wouldn't recommend..

Fantastic experience: I have always been very nervous of the dentist but knew I needed to get my teeth checked. I asked around and South Dublin Dental was recommended a few times. My first visit was with Hannah and she made me feel completely at ease. Everything she recommended and all the work she has done since has been great. I really can’t recommend this place enough.

Fantastic experience: I have a major dislike of going to the dentist after a number of bad experiences over the years, between having braces, dental surgery, a root canal and subsequently a re-do root canal. So when the tooth that had the root canal needed further work done I was very reluctant to proceed. However, I couldn't rate my experience with Hannah highly enough. After awful pain getting the repeat procedure done before, I couldn't believe when Hannah said she was finished, I hardly felt a thing! The whole experience was faultless, the surgery is lovely and the staff very professional and friendly. I don't live locally but I won't be going anywhere else to get dental work done in future!

Fantastic experience: Having gone through the embarrassing "train track" brace era in my teens, I was horrified when they reverted back to a wonky state in my 20's. I'd had enough and made a visit to South Dublin Dental to realign them, I was VERY impressed. They are right at the front of orthodontic treatment and used techniques unimaginable only a few years previous. The whole process was painless, professional and completed on time; Dr.Granville is a perfectionist and his team are lovely. Thank you very much!

Fantastic experience: I have been a long time patient of South Dublin Dental and have nothing but good things to say. Excellent quality and they always do their best to accommodate me which is much appreciated, given I work abroad. I once had a bad toothache while travelling back to Dublin and once I gave clear timelines of when I could make it they were able to stay open and see me, which was a life saver

Negative experience: I was very disappointed with South Dublin dental today. I can’t comment on their dental services because I didn’t get that far. I had an appointment at 3:30 and left work an hour ahead of time to be there punctually, I hate being late. Unfortunately, there was a serious collision on the m50 today and I was delayed. I called the practice to inform them that I was in heavy traffic. The receptionist told me that if I was just 10 mins late it would be fine, I still had some time so I thought I’d be ok. This was 2:50. I got to Dundrum at the time of my appointment 3:30, so I called again and asked would they like me to reschedule because I might be too late for them. The receptionist asked me how long I would be ( I didn’t have a crystal traffic ball, and I think she might know where Dundrum is herself) however I guessed about 15 mins. Then I got stuck for ages in Stillorgan. I have never been so stressed trying to get to an appointment. Anyhow, I reminded myself that they didn’t ask me to reschedule and thought it would be ok. I arrive half an hour late at 4:00 and the receptionist announces that the dentist was gone and she was going to hoosh me into the dental hygienist. I reminded her that I book a dental consultation also. And she says ‘well you are 1/2 an hour late’ with a snooty, derogatory tone and stare. Surely anyone with common sense who deals with the public knows you don’t remind customers of their shortfalls, especially when something out of their control genuinely delayed them. Anyhow, I’m fast losing the will to live after my stressful half an hour in the car, so I tell her i’m off and I won’t be back! I got a dentist at 5:45 and he did a great job. Now I could write a review on his dental skills! I’m sure S. Dublin dental are excellent but their customer service needs a lot more investment. I had been dealing with a girl called Katie on the phone up until that point, and i’d like to point out she was terribly professional and easy to deal with. Tis a pity the dentist isn’t as savvy!

Fantastic experience: Another great scale and polish at Dublin South Dental. I have extremely sensitive teeth and used to dread getting them cleaned. I'd even gone down the route of getting an injection prior to cleaning to numb the pain. During my first appointment at Dublin South Dental the dental hygienist explained her method for cleaning sensitive teeth. And it worked. No pain. Not even mild discomfort! I am delighted with the result and relieved I don't have to suffer in order to have sparkly clean teeth.

Fantastic experience: Can't recommend this practice more highly! I find them really professional with the latest technologies and modern treatment plans that I've found lacking in other dentists I've used before if I'm honest. I go to her for regular check ups, and now they offer hygienist visits which I use. Any treatment I've ever needed has always been well explained and discussed with me in full before we proceed. I have full confidence that any treatment is what's best for my care, something I haven't been confident in with other practices I would have attended. After-care I know would be of the same high standards but I have never needed it, every visit has been a success during and after. I always feel confident and relaxed in their hands. Appointments are easy to get and the open hours are really handy with late evenings an option. I've always recommended Southside dental and a number of friends (some previously nervous of the dentist) have been delighted with the service and care, as I knew they would! Their link with health insurance companies makes claiming really easy too which makes a big difference. They are an excellent practice and very competitive price wise too!

Fantastic experience: I was extremely nervous about getting an implant. Before I decided to take the plunge I made an appointment to meet Alec. He took a lot of time reassuring me and explaining what the procedure involved. So much so that I booked myself in straight after the consultation. The procedure nessitated approximatly six visits over 16 weeks and on every visit I was met with friendliness and professionalism by the staff. When it was finished and the implant was in place, I was thrilled. Totally confident now. No more trying to keep my mouth closed out of embarrassment when I smile. My experience was top class. All my family attend now. Can't recommend South Dublin Dental highly enough.

Fantastic experience: Dr Alex and his team provided me with my first ever implant during summer 2015. It was an amazing experience. I was talked through the entire process step-by-step, shown Xrays as it progressed and was informed and involved from beginning to end. After each session I was given pain killers which I never had to use. For someone like me with a background of negative dental experiences this was brilliant.
