Negative experience: I went to the clinic for a filling replacement. The dentist was clumsy and unprofessional, she kept pointing her headlight straight into my eyes. Her assistant was a novice or did not understand English. She was not giving the denstist what she needed and the doctor kept repeating the same requests more and more times. I felt very uneasy. The following day I start to be in pain and I went back to the clinic. The dentist told me that I needed a root canal or the extraction of the tooth. She told me that I needed antibiotics and pain killers. I decided to go to another clinic for another opinion. The dentist removed the bad job done in Blackrock and was able to fix my tooth. The pain disappeared completely No root canal needed, no extraction and no drugs taken. It was a very dishonest and unprofessional behavior.

Fantastic experience: Its an excellent dentistry. The environment feels set up to put you at ease, and everyone there is brilliant.

Fantastic experience: I have recently moved to Blackrock Dental and I’m very impressed with the staff especially, and the service. I dislike going to the dentist but they are so understanding and patient it is a much easier experience for me. Would highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Anna on two occasions with also a follow up phonecall enquiring of my wellbeing & subsequently Aoife also giving time to explain the background problem, carried out various investigative work on an intermittent but niggling issue. They are aware that the ultimate resolution might involve a significant cost and looked for alternative fixes firstly in the hope that the issue might be resolved. Cannot recommend this Dental Practice enough with their caring and empathic staff, not forgetting Claire the hygienist and the warm & welcoming reception staff.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Blackrock Dental Clinic for over 21 years. A friend recommended it to me. Dr. Feeny retired, but the new dentists/ hygienist have the same good standards.When needed to be treated asap due to teeth pain, the do their best to accommodate me. I am send reminders when my visit is due, and inform me when my hygienist bill is covered by my PRSI. The receptionists are very helpful and welcoming. The new clinic is very modern, spacious and on the ground floor, perfect for people with mobility issues, baby prams, etc. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Aoife is a brilliant dentist. She puts you at ease straight away. Is so calming and dare I say, makes getting a filling an almost pleasant experience! All the staff are very efficient and they run on time which is another major plus!

Fantastic experience: Modern, high-tech, peaceful as a SPA, polite, friendly and very kind secretaries, nurses and dentists hear with no rush at all and highly experienced. Kudos to Dr. Inge, have seen my daughter and Dr. Aoife Dunne, for myself, she rocks. A true family dentistry! Thank you the whole staff to treat us with love and care.

Negative experience: I was initially impressed by the chic style of the clinic, but unfortunately, my experience turned out to be disappointing and seemed more focused on making money or just passing on the bug to other. I went in for a full check-up after an old small filling came off while flossing. Dr. Aoife assured me that all my teeth were healthy and there were no problems just this chipped filling needed to be fixed. I went ahead with that. She fixed the chipped filling, but soon after, I started experiencing sensitivity and at first the tooth from behind was quite bulging. When I returned to address this issue, I only received advice about toothpastes. I insisted on an X-ray, and she confirmed that there was no decay and no need for a root canal. Despite this, my tooth remained sensitive. When I called up the clinic they said we would need to re examine. On a subsequent visit, to my surprise, without even having a look at what's going on with that tooth and not even seeing it once, she referred me to a specialist for a root canal. Saying her work was perfectly fine. I never had any issues on this tooth whatsoever. The x-ray etc said it's all ok. This left me questioning the quality of care and whether this was a case of passing the responsibility or simply a way to charge more. My tooth, which was previously fine. I get my teeths checked annually, suddenly required a root canal after visiting this clinic. I ended up paying €70 for the initial check-up (if all was fine then what happens in two week) and €150 for the filling (why do this step then if root canal was required), only to be told later that I needed a root canal (or simply passing on to other without taking responsibility and rectifying). I mean have a courtesy to have a look at least what's going on with the tooth. Just a conclusion that a root canal is required and will have to refer to a specialist; so they can charge again for consultation and then more procedures of which nothing was required at Day 1. This experience felt either fishy (as the clinic would earn more as they have referred to a specialist who works there ) or is it indicative of incompetence? Need an answer. And Defo a refund for wrong judgement and advise and wrong treatment done. Initial check up is to know what's going on isn't it. Be careful. Stay away.

Fantastic experience: Impressed with this dental place, enormous and beautiful clinic and have the kindest staff I have ever seen. The secretaries are absolutely friendly and polite, in person, phone and even by email. I would like to highlight Dr. Inge and unique kindness with her patients. My daughter was with her a few days ago and still mentioning how she likes Dr. Inge. My husband also mentioned how peaceful it was, having a proper time to understand the whole treatment being showed in the most new technological computer and machines, and asked questions with no rush at all. Rare and Golden!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic staff and so friendly.. Inge and Rhona are amazing at their job. My little girl was so nervous of the dentist and needed some fillings done, so was referred to blackrock from our dentist and oh my goodness they are amazing and have made my daughter feel so relaxed about coming to see her . They spoke to my daughter every step of the way and explained to her in simple terms what each instrument she used does and praised her the whole time. Highly recommend for anyone that has nervous children about the dentist

Fantastic experience: Great experience in the new clinic, it is so fab, I felt like I was going into a spa, My daughter had a fabulous experience with your pediatric team, Inge & Rhona they are nothing but a gold standard team, they put my young daughter ( who was very nervous) at ease & they were so very gentle and kind with her. She had the best experience and was very excited to go into school to tell her pals about it. I would recommend Inge & Rhona to any parent with kiddos.

Fantastic experience: I started attending Blackrock Dental about 16 months ago, it was recommended to me by my daughter as she had a very positive experience there with her own dental work. In total I've had about 4 appointments having crowns replaced and new veneers and bridge work done. From my first appointment I have been very pleased with my treatment, Morgan and his team have been wonderful putting me at ease from the moment I sat in the chair. Every step of the process was explained thoroughly to me and I felt I was in safe hands. I'm absolutely delighted with the final result and I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone who needed work done. They are clearly very passionate about helping their clients to get the best results possible.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Morgan and his team have been consistently fantastic, from their manner when booking appointments to the aftercare service. I used to be very nervous going to the dentist as a child, and now I feel so comfortable going to the dentist I dosed off in the chair last time I went! All down to the demeanour of everyone. Nothing is ever too much of an issue for them. I will always recommend this practice to my family and friends.

I had been grinding my teeth for a long time and my lower ones where ugly and almost worn away. With Morgans guidance I had them crowned, pretty painless despite time in the chair. Fantastic experience: I visited Blackrock Dental in December 2020 looking to begin the Invisalign treatment. It was a seamless process even in the midst of a pandemic! I needed to get some composite bonding at the end due some previous damage I had with my teeth and I was so impressed with the end result. I would recommend the team at Blackrock Dental to everyone. Negative experience: They would not bother to reply to your emails

Fantastic experience: Went there for our 5 y/o daughter after a bad experience at another place where she wouldn't open her mouth fo a few minutes and they gave up. The dentist, Stephanie, was very patient, very nice and explained carefully everything she was doing. The dental assistant and the receptionist also helped in making her feel comfortable. It went very well thanks to them! The fact that it was the second time may have helped a bit but the staff was awesome and this was really important too.

Fantastic experience: had been grinding my teeth during sport for years, and ended up with badly chipped front teeth. I never did anything about it, assuming whatever fix there might be would involved drilling and pain. After 5 minutes with Morgan, he assured me of a pain free solution that would take less than an hour to complete. True to his word, in 45 minutes my smile was back to it's best. Morgan's professionalism and service is second to none, he does great work, and he's a good bloke to boot. Couldn't recommend him or the surgery more.

Fantastic experience: Morgan is not only a great dentist but also a real artist in his execution of aesthetic dentistry. Having suffered a gappy mouth for years, Morgan's expertise and artistic eye has given me my smile back, literally! Fantastic experience: Colette Walsh · May 26, 2018 After receiving a recommendation from a friend, today myself and my 12 yr old daughter made the journey from Gorey Co Wexford to visit Morgan O'Gara in Blackrock Dental. She had a decayed lower molar that was very deep and close to the nerve, so this was going to prove difficult to fill. From the moment we went in, we were welcomed warmly by Daphne the receptionist and were brought straight in. In seconds, I knew our journey wasn't going to be in vain, as Morgan explained step by step to us what the procedure would involve in a calm and caring manner. At all times he considered my daughter and re-assured her that she was doing so well. It was a long procedure and required additional anesthetic to ensure it was sufficiently numbed. Throughout it all his cheery and pleasant nurse Dee, chatted to us and kept my daughter as distracted from the procedure as possible. Thank you all so much! To drive an hour and know she is in such good hands at the practice will always be journey worth making!!! You have a new patient Morgan!!

Daphne on the phone was so kind and helpful in what was a crisis situation, she offered me an appointment straight away and Dr. O Gara did a truly incredible job of fixing my broken tooth, you cannot even tell there was ever anything wrong with it, exceptional aesthetic dentistry I’m so impressed and it was very reasonably priced. Fantastic experience: My 3 little people (ages 7, 5 & 2) had their first dentist visit today. I was anxious about bringing all 3 on my own but I need not have worried. From the moment we entered the practice I felt at ease. The practice manager, Daphne, couldn't have been more helpful. There were toys to play with in the waiting room and books to read. We were called in after a short wait, the eldest going first. Dr Morgan was so reassuring to her as the 2 boys watched on. Morgan worked quickly, offering practical advice at the children's level, whilst chatting away to myself and the kids. Leaving his qualifications aside, the fact that he's a father to 4 young children meant he was prepared for anything, this reduced my stress levels considerably. In the end we didn't have any meltdowns or refusal to get checked and I put it all down to how approachable and accommodating the staff are. The kids loved their first visit to the dentist, such a positive experience for them. The party bags at the end of it all was just the icing on the cake!!
