Negative experience: The last two treatments have gone horribly wrong and might cause serious health damage. Even after an email to reception asking for urgent help, I have been left in pain with open gum after tooth extraction, not to mention that at the beginning I went there only for the filling. This can lead to serious health hazards! I cannot believe that Dr.Long can make such an error twice I am very disappointed. Situations like this shouldn't have a place. This wound affects the other healthy teeth and causes unbelievable pain. Without strong painkillers I cannot do my daily tasks. Staying on them is not an option either, as this can lead to damage to the kidneys and intestinal microbiota.

Fantastic experience: It's nearly a year that I and my family are going to the Fingerpost Dental. I would like to strongly recommend them. Not only we are 100% happy, we are extremely grateful specially to the team who looks after us: Dr Meabh Long and Ms Norah Hillgrove, and Ms Gemma Sexton (dental hygienist). They have perfect expertise and state of the art facilities, and fantastic, kind, professional and friendly staff. We receive reminders 1-2 days before each appointment. They also follow up after treatments to make sure everything is ok with us and if we need any help. A nightmare we had was when our 5-year old daughter needed a couple of treatments, but Dr Long, Norah and the staff at the reception have been so kind explaining everything to her that the potentially very stressful appointments turned into fun for our daughter... she even often asks us when we would take her to her dentist. Meabh, Norah, Gemma, and all the other staff, we're very thankful to you all. We feel very lucky that my colleague at work recommended you to us, and we got this chance to be your patients. We could not recommend you more.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had many visits over the years, teeth pulled, fillings, emergencies, gum hygiene. Roberta and co are always flexible when needed, quick to help and offer advice. I have a lot of confidence in Bernard the dentist and Aoife the hygienist. My teeth are in good hands. Nice environment in the surgery overall too.

I find the dentist and her assistant to be so professional and kind during all procedures. The atmosphere is lovely, throughout the building, the place is so clean and bright. I feel truly cared for everytime I visit. They also offer a flexible schedule of hours for people who are working.

Fantastic experience: Today I had a filling with Dr Meave, the procedure was so comfortable from the injection to the filling. I am terrified of the dentist and injections and it was by far the most comfortable I have ever been getting a filling. Lovely reception staff and dental nurses.

Negative experience: Dentist is ok for very basic treatments but very expensive. Receptionist was argumentative and refused a very vulnerable patient an emergency appointment. That patient ended up in the ER. Heartbreaking to think of how long they were in pain. Do yourself a favour and go to any other dentist!

Fantastic experience: Needed an emergency app, got one ASAP. Turned out I needed a root canal at 8.5 months pregnant. The dentist and dental nurse were so lovely and reassuring and kept me up to date every step of the way! No pain at all and now the numbness has worn off. I'm back to 0 pain and so so thankful!

I've had a mouthguard made to perfection by Dr. Murphy to counteract teeth grinding and I've had the highest quality of teeth cleans by their outstanding hygienist Michelle whose attention to detail is second to none. Also, Fingerpost Dental is very accommodating in its busy schedule. I would highly recommend Fingerpost Dental if you're seeking a different level in dental care.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Dr Murphy for the past few months for Invisalign treatment, I find Dr Murphy to be highly professional, and she provides an excellent client-centred service. All the staff at Fingerpost Dental couldn’t be more welcoming and kind, and the practice itself is spotlessly clean. Couldn’t recommend this dentistry practice more.

Fantastic experience: Amazing service! There were no problems straightening my teeth with Invisalign and much care went into getting the perfect end goal. I love my new smile. the new shape of my teeth and even how whiter my teeth appear. My teeth have never looked better!

Fantastic experience: This was my first time with Bernard as my dentist and he was an absolute professional, gentle-man and i felt in very sage hands despite my always being a little dentist anxious. I had cracked a tooth at the weekend and after some xrays it was deemed too bad to save- I have not had an extraction in years and didn't have pleasant memories however Bernard and his team made it all very easy. I adore this surgery and even though I've moved from the area I have no desire to change it for the sake of convenience. Ery covid safe also. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: Made appointment to get a crown fixed, there was a lot of UP SELLING,.. the dentist Bernard Murphy was very hostile to the staff and made me feel very uncomfortable, couldn't wait to get out of there, and was very expensive. That is for the 2 girls. The worst experience in a dentist ever.

Positive experience: I went to this dentist back in February, and I got the feeling there were some “selling” type approaches being used (such as being asked for a % of payment for your next appointment upfront, and being told I needed treatment that another dentist today confirmed I did not). I found the overall atmosphere to be a little off, and even though the female dentist I dealt with was lovely and very competent, I didn’t get the same feeling from the other dentist who treated me.
