Fantastic experience: As a family, we have had an excellent experience over the years with this practice. My own dentist, Dr Brendan O’Connor is extremely practical, doesn’t suggest anything unnecessary, and gets things done relatively painlessly (the best you could get I think). Our kids have attended Dr Aifric Ní Chaollaí for some big work - never afraid to go in and happy to go back! Which is very impressive. The team are friendly and approachable. Would (and have) strongly recommend.

Fantastic experience: My 5 year old daughter has been going to Dentist Alex after a fall in the yard at school..he has since been trying an early intervention strategy to correct her bite and mid line which seems to have worked. He has been very gentle, his assistants are lovely and I would have no hesitation in recommending Dentist Alex to anyone after good dental care. He explains to me what he is doing, why he is doing it and my daughter is never afraid to go in. Top service.

Fantastic experience: The staff are incredibly friendly, the building and the dental suites are clean and tidy, and they have a dental surgeon on staff. Everything I needed done as a new patient (exam, X-rays, clean and polish) were completed in the first visit. Had I any issues I know they’d have set up a follow-on right away. Negative experience: Here is a 1-star Google review of my experience with Dr. Patricia Navas Saiz at Dental Care Ireland in Cabinteely on July 29th at 9am: I had a very disappointing experience at Dental Care Ireland with Dr. Patricia Navas Saiz. I went in for an emergency appointment due to swollen gum behind my wisdom teeth, and the service I received was subpar at best. When I first arrived, Dr. Navas Saiz seemed to have misread my appointment and thought I was there for a routine cleaning, even after I told her twice that I was there for an emergency. It took some insistence on my part before she finally asked what the issue was. After explaining the situation, Dr. Navas Saiz initially didn't want to clean the infected area, but I insisted that was the right course of action. When she did clean around my wisdom teeth, it caused my swollen gum to bleed, which I could taste in my mouth. Shockingly, she did not apply any anti-inflammatory medication or sterilize the area afterwards. Her dental assistant also did a poor job of suctioning the saliva, which was extremely uncomfortable and almost made me vomit. The only treatment I received was being told to rinse with salt water at home, and Dr. Navas Saiz even had the audacity to ask if I wanted to book another appointment, despite the subpar care I had just received. The entire appointment was less than 10 minutes and cost me 60 euros, and it ended up making my gum even more inflamed. I had to go to another dentist the next day, who provided proper treatment and pain relief. Dr. Patricia Navas Saiz clearly lacks the competency to provide adequate dental care. She seemed more focused on just issuing prescriptions than actually treating the problem. I would strongly advise against going to Dental Care Ireland and seeing Dr. Navas Saiz. I had a terrible experience and ended up worse off than when I went in. I choose to be anonymous online and I reserve all rights to the final interpretation of this review.

Fantastic experience: I have been attending the surgery for several years now and have been well looked after by Dr Brendan O'Connor. A plus for me is that the treatment room is big enough for me to be treated in my wheelchair (which can be tilted just like a dentist's chair).

Dentist and Nurse both very friendly and explained every step of the process very well. Even did a clean which in previous practices had sometimes almost reduced me to tears without any discomfort. Positive experience: My dentist Dr. Raphael left the practice in November 22. Between my wife and myself we had spent over €10k in the last three years in this practice. No complaint about the past. In early January 2023 one of my crowns came loose. I was given an appointment with his replacement. I attended and she was unable to loosen it enough to come out. I left and within 2 days the crown fell out. I now could not get an appointment for 7 weeks because the replacement dentist only works there 2 days per week and the other dentist will not take on any new clients. With respect this place is only playing at dental and should either shape up, or call it a day. They have no consideration for patients and appear not to be able to hold on to staff,and the words Dental Care is anything BUT what you now get. NB: In fairness management came back to me and the immediate problem was resolved satisfactorily.

Fantastic experience: No offence but nobody loves the dentist BUT we had the best tram looking after our four year old. Afric & Faye delt with my daughter so well i could not ask for better. Plus sandra on reception was amazing also. Highly recommended this team with fully confidence it will be done perfectly.

Negative experience: Overpriced and they made no effort to sort out payment through PRSI, just told me it was pending so they couldn't do anything and I had to pay full price. Charged €40 for removing a bit of plaque off my 7 year olds tooth at the end of his check up which also cost €40 too, it took about 30 seconds and they didn't mention it would double the price for him. €80 for a half hour with the hygienist that started 5 minutes late so wasn't actually a half hour. I went to a small independent dentist 6 months later who had no issues sorting out payment with PRSI and in total it cost me 1/3 of the price for myself, partner and son for a much better service. Won't be back.

Negative experience: I attended your clinic yesterday morning having booked an appointment online with you around 2 weeks ago. I have been suffering with a bad toothache for the last 3weeks and was hoping that after my appointment today although it may not be the end of the pain but at least I would have a further appointment to extract or fill the tooth in question. On your website there is a whole section on PRSI and medical card. Including what you are entitled to under each scheme. I have attached a screenshot. You can then imagine my surprise when after taking an xray which I was charged €65.00 for the dentist informed me that I needed 2 extractions and asked about medical insurance. I said that I had a medical card and he advised that your practice no longer participates in the medical card scheme. Even though its still listed on your website. Had I been aware of this I could have tried to make an appointment elsewhere. Now I'm in a position where I have to try and find A) another practice who take medical cards and B) accept new patients. I would suggest that you contact whoever looks after your website and ask them to make the necessary adjustments to remove the information about medical card treatment or clearly state you no longer participate in the scheme. Normally I'm not one to complain but I was relying on getting my treatment at least started today and now I'm back to square one. Kind regards, Colin L

He was a bit anxious about the visit but felt at ease very quickly in her presence. Everyone we met was very nice. We'll be back in six months and we have told friends about our experience.

My daughter got a brace top and bottom over 18 months ago and her regular visits were something she almost looked forward to, from Sandra's friendly kind and helpful advice at the front desk to Aidan and Faye's attention to detail in the surgery. Fantastic experience: Our son was treated by Dr. Elaine Shore at Dental Care Ireland today. The treatment and care Matthew received at the clinic was exceptional. He was extremely anxious about his dental appointment, however, Dr. Shore immediately put him at ease. She took time to explain everything about the procedures to him and actually made it seem like fun. Matthew engaged well with Dr. Shore and nurse Karen and they made him feel in control of every situation. Matthew is booked in for further appointments and his fear of the dentist has been greatly reduced. Sandra on reception is also extremely helpful. She had a warm welcome for us and took time to greet Matthew on arrival. Sandra also completed our paper work for us. Overall, our experience at Dental Care Ireland has been five star and I would highly recommend the clinic.

Fantastic experience: I go to Afric with my little baby. She's so caring and always follows up. I found the service to be excellent from everyone there too. I've recommended to all my friends.

Negative experience: I contacted the dental centre several branches to know about my oral examination prices before going there and one of the branch finally informed me it is 45 euro (photo attached). It was a check up for oral cancer examination. However the doctor only checked my teeth and barely any other part of my mouth. I asked about a pimple in corner of my mouth and he put a drop of some sorts of antibiotic on the pimple which later I realised they charged me 40 euro for that (without consulting with me to see if I am willing to pay that price for a treatment that I could get much cheaper by purchasing other antibiotics). Also they charged me 10 euro more for the check up session and in the end I was forced to pay 95 euro for an examination with total dissatisfaction. It is such a pity to see such an ignorance towards customer care.

Positive experience: Received incorrect information but usually pretty good.
