Fantastic experience: Hi I would just like to share my experience with dental care in limerick on Friday. I was not happy at all , I was delighted , they could not have been nicer . I met first the lady on reception who was Melissa , what a perfect person for front of house , very pleasant , chatty and professional so perfect for this role . It didn't take long for me to fill out my details and with about 10 mins my dentist called me . It was dr Sheila , she was excellent , she explained everything in detail made me feel at ease , I suffer sometimes from gag reflux, which can be embarrassing but she helped me get through it . She was removing a tooth and had it done before I even noticed . I have to go back again and will have no hesitation in doing so . So I would definitely recommend to anyone to go there , again thanks to Melissa and Dr Sheila . Keep up the good work and see you soon.

Fantastic experience: My son's first visit with Dr Caroline O'Mahony today. She has a lovely manner and made him feel at ease within minutes. Dr Caroline took her time and explained everything thoroughly before making referral for arthodontics. The practice secretary was very accommodating and allowed us to complete the form filling in the car. The phone was hopping and the practice is busy but everyone was so calm and professional. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: I went to them for years. I noticed that their dentists were younger and more inexperienced by the year... Last year, I noticed I had a cavity even though I didn't feel any pain, but I wanted to fix it. So I made an appointment and the dentist that did the filling was lovely but she was very inexperienced and did a bad job because I had strong pain that didn't go away. I went back a week later and another dentist, equally inexperienced, tried re-doing the filling again, but again I was in pain and she didn't fix it. I then requested a 3rd appointment but with one of their most senior dentists, but one of the same inexperienced dentists was there to have another go. Didn't work and went a 4th time (4th time within a month). The same dentist from the 1st attempt tried again. The pain improved but I knew they had done a "boo-boo" but I guess they didn't want to admit it. Then I switched to my wife's dentist in Clare and she showed me straight away the problem: the x-ray clearly showed the filling material all the way down the tooth, touching the nerve!! I visited an Endodontist and he showed me the same thing. The nerve was inflammated and the only option I had was Root Canal, which obviously wasn't great and of course I had to pay myself, which is super expensive... The Crescent Dental didn't show me any x-ray and you would think that they should have asked one of their senior dentists to look at it instead of being seen 4 times by 2 very young dentists that didn't seem to know what was wrong... I will never go back to the Crescent dentists...

Fantastic experience: Im an autistic adult that struggles with dental care and keeping up with dental appointments. I needed a dental appointment sooner rather than later and everywhere else I tried was quoting 3+ months for an appointment. I reached out to Crescent Dental and the receptionist called me and was able to fit me in that week. She understood how my autism might need to be accommodated and made the whole process easy. On the day, the dentist was clear and friendly, and the appointment went very smoothly. Highly recommend, particular for neurodivergent folks.
