Fantastic experience: My recent appointment was great - the dentist was very efficient and communicated all steps very well. The procedure was successful - I strongly recommend While Smile Dental (Mount Merrion)

Negative experience: Avoid, avoid avoid. There are many professional practices, this is not one to attend.Lots of my colleagues and friends have attended elsewhere for orthodontics and had great experiences in a good time frame …this is not one of those. Firstly the time plan you are given does not follow at all.This can occur, I believe with some months added on, but not the length I have experienced…add a year. Aligners often felt no difference to previous ones in the last phase..no doubt why it took longer. The dentist I attended ..not the orthodontist as you don’t meet them often, was very nice and professional, but obviously does not make the aligners. I today received an incredibly unprofessional rude email telling me the email was on behalf of the orthodontist Dr Erika.. as she needs to be paid for her wages , I cannot continue to attend appointments. I was firstly confused, as that Erika needed wages and as a client why I was being contacted! I then was shocked at the language used in the email, as I never received any comms, attended each appointment.. even this week, with nothing said re the second payment and thought there must obviously be a mistake. I of course knew I had to pay a balance for the treatment and was happy to do so when asked, despite the very slow progress, but I presumed as they had messed up on my treatment plan that I would be asked to pay once progression eventually occurred. At each appointment nothing was mentioned re paying the balance, even with Erika, who obviously needed wages, re the second payment at all. I presumed they were embarrassed re the lack of progression. I replied presuming it was someone working in admin who had messed up. When I emailed both the orthodontist Erika and the company to question the incredibly rude email I received, queried how they mentioned how they needed money as a company to pay a dentist..which doesn’t give you confidence in how they manage their business…I expected an apology and an explanation as to how I was just there this week and nothing had been said and even re how slow my treatment was, despite then cancelling and rearranging appointments that did not suit me. I then got a text from one of the owners , Guy, ..no reply from the orthodontist..Dr Erika at all…, who told me he had emailed me and was sorry if I was offended, but would take on board my feedback! …but here’s the link to pay..no comment on the delay in progression or that staff had not mentioned anything to me in all the appointments I attended, or the unprofessional language used in the email where I even questioned if they were closing, such was the concern that they had to pay Erika. I outlined that emails re appointments came through but no other emails bar a link today after Guy’s text to pay. Go elsewhere .You will be treated better and most likely will have a professional experience in the time allocated, also your orthodontist will reply when you query issues, only email I sent in two years to Erika bar an email after my first appointment two years ago..no reply ..v disappointing, unprofessional and worrying that they contact patients re not being able to pay dentists, when most practices struggle to take on new patients.I have paid money to them but concerned as to the company that owns this practice.

Negative experience: Very poor service . Booked a weekend- Saturday appointment in dublin,mount Merrion office for 11am. Got no confirmation email or text. Tried calling beforehand as with traffic not worth driving if appointment isn't confirmed. Two calls and someone meant to call and didn't until 5 mins before due time. Refused the appointment and went elsewhere to another company . If you can't do simple things right then I wouldn't trust a service with anything more important to be done. EDIT- YES I DID BOOK AN APPOINTMENT FYI.

While not the most comfortable, it isn't painful and the team in Deerpark Road, Mount Merrion are very attentive and make sure you are ok throughout. I'm thrilled with the results. Negative experience: Suelo ser bastante justa y cuidadosa con los comentarios que se hacen a los establecimientos pero después de un largo tiempo de esperas y con los ánimos más calmados, he decidido compartir mi experiencia con White Smile- Mount Merrion. Dublin 4. Por motivos de salud y estética, decidí ponerme en manos de White Smile Dental para realizar mi tratamiento de ortodoncia con Invisalign. El tratamiento lo inicié en Septiembre del 2020 bajo la supervisión de Dr Erika Najera. No voy a negar que el personal de la clínica incluída Dr Erika fueron muy amables desde el pricipio y en cada una de las revisiones. Decidí hacer i tratamiento de ortodoncia con esta clínica porque la dra Erika habla español y eso me generaba más confianza y cercanía con mi idioma materno. Bien, inicio el tratamiento de Invisalign Comprehensive y empiezo a tener ciertas molestias que se consideraban normales porque los dientes se estaban moviendo. Pasados unos pocos meses notaba que mi mordida estaba empeorando, los dolores de cabeza eran insoportables y mi mandibula estaba desajustada. Pasé de una mordida cruzada a una mordida abierta en muy poco tiempo. Terminé mordiendo con 3 muelas y de ahí los dolores y mareos continuos. Desde un principio el tratamiento no estaba funcionando y después de una urgencia que tuve en España, me tuvieron que quitar 3 muelas del juicio y continuar en Irlanda un tallado selectivo y replantear y diseñar un nuevo tratamiento. Hay tratamientos que no resultan como esperamos pero con el tiempo me han confirmado profesionales de ortodoncia que los movimientos diseñados en el tratamiento inicial no eran los adecuados para un paciente adulto. Perdí total confianza en la salud y cuidado de mi boca bajo la supervisión de esta clínica y su doctora. Desafortunadamente no llevaba mucho tiempo de tratamiento y ya había pagado 4500 euros porque cada vez que iba a la clínica habían que pagar 550 euros. Le comenté a la dra Erika y al director de la clínica Alex Thomas que no iba a aceptar un nuevo tratamiento porque la relación medico-paciente se había roto y quería el reembolso total de todo el dinero que había pagado para poder iniciar de cero un nuevo tratamiento y una clínica de confianza. La Dra Erika puso mi petición en consideración pero no se aceptó el reembolso ni parcial ni total. Me avisaron de esto cuando después de varios "reminders" les dije que sino me contestaban iba a exponer mi caso ante el Dental Council of Ireland e iba a iniciar acciones legales por negligencia profesional. Considero que mi caso no estuvo bien manejado ni monitoreado especialmente cuando dí varios avisos sobre mi salud en general y bucal. La Dra Erika podría ser una buena ortodoncista pero no la veo competente para un tratamiento de Invisalign donde inicialmente me ofreció la opción más básica- "Lite" y fui yo fui la que decidí optar por "Comprehensive" para tener resultados "óptimos" al final del tratamiento. Aquí en España varios dentistas profesionales coinciden en que solomente con el Comprenhensive se pueden lograr buenos resultados con los movimientos propiamente adecuados en pacientes adultos y corregir todo lo que debía corregir en mi mordida y dientes en general. Me tomó un año y medio retomar en España el tratamiento de Invisalign por motivos tanto económicos como físicos y emocionales.. el proceso ha sido duro y aún continúo en tratamiento.

Negative experience: I do not recommend! Terrible customer service! I booked an appointment for teeth whitening just 2 weeks before Christmas. I drove 45min and got the time off work to get there as it was their only availability. When I got there, the booking was actually made for the previous week(booked me in the past). The therapist was on holiday until January and there was no chance of getting in. The receptionist was friendly, but couldn’t help at all as she said there was no way of checking availability in other center. I called the main line again, asked to be moved to another clinic and explained the situation. The guy took my details and I never heard back. I will never go back to this clinic, ridiculous customer service!

Positive experience: They only do the front part of your teeth and then you have to pay more for a Gel to do it at home for the rest of your teeth.

Fantastic experience: Having never had my teeth whitened before, I booked White Smiles Dental with some nervousness and not very much expectation. I was greeted warmly and having completed a form was led to a treatment room. I lay on a comfortable leather bed. The treatment was very straightforward , the nurse applied Vaseline to my lips , fitted a type of cage into my mouth to which she attached the laser. I felt she was very attentive , checking on me constantly. I had a short break half way through and once the hour was up , I was allowed to rinse my mouth and have water. I couldn’t believe the results and 4 days later my teeth still look really bright. I would highly recommend this treatment at White Smiles and will be returning.

I was Greeted first by a very welcoming receptionist named Charlotte who reassured me by answering any questions I had. I have visited this clinic twice now for teeth whitening and both dentists I met were so friendly and informative. As someone with sensitive teeth I was nervous about teeth whitening but the process couldn’t have been smoother and my teeth didn’t experience any sensitivity! I definitely recommend this clinic and I will be returning again once in need of more teeth whitening. Thank you white smile clinic!

Fantastic experience: I had orthodontic braces fitted with Erika in white smile dental. The whole process was great from start to finish. I can’t recommend Erika and her team enough for the great job they have done. I’m delighted with the finished result. Thanks so much Thomas.

Negative experience: I called the clinic to make an appointment for one filling and said that I did not need a check up as I had one done by another dentist less than a month before and was told that there would be no issues. On the day of the appointment I repeated the same to the dentist and pointed out to the tooth that needed treatment. He carried out the check up anyway. Then he told me that it was their policy to give a check up to every new patient and charged me for it. I though that the check up costs would be covered under PRSI scheme and was told that they do not participate in it. I was charged €165 (€55 for the check up + €110 for the filling!) for one small filling that I pointed out myself. The receptionist took a defensive position saying something about everything being on "somewhere on their website, to her knowledge". She also told me that "the check up was the dentist's decision" contrary to the dentist's statement that it was the policy. I would not mind the charges if they were upfront with them. Anyone has a choice to go to to a participating dental practice. The costs are high enough as they are. UPDATE. Soon after the post I received a phone call from someone who introduced himself as the owner. He did not argue with the facts of the review. Instead he attempted to justify them by saying that he was "trying to help me" (really?), "I was unfair" (I was factual), "dentistry's very complicated and the receptionist was not properly trained" (I'm not responsible for training), "not all dentists are registered for PRSI scheme"(that's their choice not to help patients reduce costs) and "I would sue them if they didn't give me a check up" (!). The impoliteness mentioned in his reply was due to the fact that I refused to take this nonsense and terminated the call wishing him a good day nevertheless. Again, he did not argue with anything that I wrote, just with the fact that I did write it. The purpose of that phone call was very clearly not to "help rectify my concerns" but to get me to amend the review. I stand by my statement and wish to add that the FULL explanation of cost PRIOR to treatment NEVER took place. BE UPFRONT WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS to avoid disappointment. I will never go back to White Smiles Dental.

Negative experience: I came too you on 04.08. The day all my problems started. I just had a small crack on the old filling on upper 6 and just wanted it to be replaced. No pain whatsoever. Dentist dr.Joseph gave me anesthesia, opened my tooth and then decided I should have a crown on that tooth without consulting me. Now I do not know how thing run in Ireland but probably like everywhere else in a normal world-you don’t get to decide for someone without consulting him. When I say consulting him I meant talking with that person not when you just opened up their tooth and gave them anesthesia 10 minutes ago. I was in shock and couldn’t even say anything from anesthesia. Now I don’t know what it means to prepare my tooth for the crown so I don’t know what he did. What I know is I didn’t get the filling I was supposed to because he said we will prepare the tooth(don’t know what that means?). Pains started and I went to another dentist(he wasn’t working so I had too see another one)and was told I had to do a root canal! Now I have no 7 so this 6 is very important because is my main tooth for the bridge! Went back to dr.Joseph and told him what they told me in Bayside clinic and was told that it was nonsense, I don’t need a root canal but I have a cavity on the the 5 tooth, he said that is probably making problems so he fixed it. Again in pain after few days and I went to an emergency dentist that opens the tooth and says that who ever has done the filling went to far and was done to deep and that root canal is a must. Done a root canal and the pain didn’t stop. Extracted the tooth and it didn’t stop. Today went to oral surgery and will see how things will go. Today is 21.09 and I was with you on 04.08. I came with no pain whatsoever and am now in living hell! What amount of money I have spent I won’t even say. But what he did that day only God knows! But hopefully this will not last for long and I will then have time and peace to see how I will go further with this matter because he has done something I didn’t consent to. Maia

We’d researched a few clinics so we could compare but White Smile Dental was streets ahead in terms of cleanliness, safety, care, empathy and professionalism. They took their time to explain the process to us and my son so we knew every step of the way what was next. It’s already proving itself out and my son feels more confident and happy since he’s started to see the results. The dentist we’ve been consulting with is very experienced and has been with us the whole way through. As parents this was important to us.

Fantastic experience: I had braces when I was a teenager but thanks to my pesky wisdom teeth coming in and moving my teeth around in my thirties after I moved from the US to Ireland I needed another round of braces. Its hard to know who to trust in a foreign country but they were recommended by a good mate and boy did I get lucky. These guys were total saviors and excited my poor teeth. The orthodontist, dentists and staff are so friendly and professional. Cannot recommend white smile more highly.

Fantastic experience: This service is top notch and it really works. My son has been worried about his bite with his front teeth for a few years, my wife and I thought he was fine and didn't believe he needed it as we thought the cost would be a big out of pocket expense. We came across White Smile service and their Invisalign product, which totally changed our minds. After a month of our son using the product the results are already obvious even to the untrained eye. It is super easy for our son to use. Plus it is a lot less expensive than the alternatives. I would strongly recommend this service.
