Negative experience: Rude response when phoned to cancel appointment due to vomiting bug. I had an appointment booked for a check up and descale and polish but on the morning of my appointment I phoned to cancel as I had been up all night due to a vomiting bug. When I phoned I was forwarded to an answer machine as “no receptionists were free to take the call” and I left a voicemail explaining why I had to cancel my appointment. I then received an email acknowledging my voicemail but informing me that if I were to cancel again at such short noice I would be faced with a 60 charge and that if I wished to rebook my appointment it would “have to be with a different dentist”. I am a veterinary surgeon myself and understand that sometimes cancellations of appointments are unavoidable and I would never treat a client like this especially if they rang ahead to cancel due to illness and explained why. Won’t be attending ever in the future sadly.

Negative experience: The hygiene I went through in there was so unprofessional. I seriously suspect she’s just an assistant nurse in there instead of a professional teeth cleaning staff. She just put on a simple pair of gloves, used a picker and another scale tool? asked me to open my mouth, get started, and that’s it ! the dental chair was set with nothing else but an empty plate, not even any cup of rinsing water was shown, and nothing else, the whole operating procedure was too simple too rough, ended up with some toothpaste applied between my teeth from her gloves ! I paid 95€ like for nothing much cleaned. The dirty stuff is still between the teeth! Jesus, feel like scammed !

No swelling or pain. It healed very quickly from following his after care instructions. He is super knowledgeable and specialized and would recommend him! If I had known it was going to be that easy, I would have got it out years ago. Thank you!

He has done fantastic work with my daughter and she herself remarked that he has been the best dentist/doctor she has ever attended which considering the nature of the work she had done, it is a testament to his ability!

Fantastic experience: My teenage son had root canal treatment on his two front teeth after an accident. Dr Bellamy took great care to explain the process step by step and made sure my son was comfortable and knew what to expect. Follow up call after each stage of the treatment. Extremely thorough and professional and felt in such good hands. The support staff were very helpful and friendly.

Fantastic experience: Since I started going to Northumberland Dental surgery I have pretty much overcome the overwhelming fear and anxiety I experienced any time I had to go to to a dentist and would just delay going until I had no choice. Dr. Collins, Monica, the hygienist who has since left and now Claire are all brilliantly caring.

When I first came to the practice, I had multiple missing teeth and a very large bridge, and I wasn’t sure what could be done. Most recently, I had five crowns, four implants, and a connecting bridge placed, and the results have been outstanding. Fantastic experience: Dr Bellamy carried out a painless and relaxing root canal stopping every few minutes to ask if I was alright. I was a nervous patient who was put at ease before the treatment started. Dr Bellamy contacted me every three days to monitor my progress as i had a bad infection in my tooth. I could not recommend him highly enough.

I can't believe how relieving it was to finally find this place after several experiences in multiple countries of both good and not so good. Fantastic experience: I really recommend this dental clinic. I've been there for 2 years now with various treatments and Dr Gavin and Dr Bellamy have been the best. Really patient, always take the time to explain what they do, check if you feel no pain, etc. The dentists assistants and the whole staff overalls are very friendly and caring. I am very grateful I found this clinic after a bad experience in another dental clinic.

Fantastic experience: The practice is fantastic. Dr. Kemoona is great and clearly a talented dentist. In my case, the composite used by their supplier (3d printed crowns) has broken twice in a short space of time. The team in Northumberland have been extremely reactive when i needed them each time. I would highly recommend overall.

Negative experience: I went in for a scale and polish €85 and ended up paying an additional €55 for an examination that I did not request. The receptionist informed me that it was mandatory. To clarify, if you book a scale and polish with PRSI, it costs €15. However, when you schedule a second scale and polish, you will be charged €55 more for a mandatory examination, total of (€140) which no one ever informed me about, and you will not receive a refund for this charge. I would recommend avoiding this place; it seems to be goog only to PRSI customers. I do feel sorry for Dr. Rebecca Gavin, though, as she is excellent at her job.

Fantastic experience: I attended Dr. Breandán O Niadh for a few months for a dental implant in Northumberland. He was professional but friendly, informative, relaxed and I felt no pain!! (A big plus!) At all stages, he told me exactly what he was doing - and what to expect which made me relax. All the staff are very welcoming and chilled. Fantastic experience: Really great experience here. Was seen at short notice by very pleasant Dr. Jennifer Collins to repair a chip, which was done quickly and efficiently. While there she suggested a simple and very effective restoration to a minor receding gum issue, which I hadn't realised could be fixed so easily. Had the benefit of masking some discolouration too. Very happy with results.

Pain management for root canal treatment and the dental implant surgery was unbelievable. I still can't believe it when speaking to others I know who have dental treatment.

Fantastic experience: I have an extreme fear of dentists and a strong gag reflex but as i had severe pain in my tooth I had to go to a dentist. From the moment i met Dr Ford he put me at ease, taking time to explain in detail what he would do, and what my options were, I didn't even have to sit in the chair at first. I had to have 2 extractions and 3 fillings with Dr Chris Ford under sedation by Professor Michael Carey, consultant anaesthetist. On the day of surgery Dr Ford was so calm,reassurung and methodical that I managed to relax. Dr Carey was compassionate and professional and i felt in very safe hands. The Surgery went well, i dont remember any of it, i was fast asleep, and was woken gently afterwards. I was given thorough aftercare instructions. Dr Ford phoned me a few days later to see how i was. I have never experienced such care and compassion by a dentist before. I must also mention Jennifer Collins who carried out my first assessment, she was gentle and kind and immediately relaxing, but didnt so sedation so i was referred to her colleague Dr Ford. I highly recommend this practice for anxious people.

Fantastic experience: From the initial consultation to talk about exposing an impacted tooth and to the surgery itself, the experience has been time efficient and professional. Dr. Gary Leonard explained everything that would be involved in detail to my daughter and myself. She followed the advice, given pre & post surgery, and had no complications whatsoever. His secretary Sandra is lovely and was very accommodating when booking the return visit to remove the pack and stitch. A very good experience all around considering the surgery involved. Five-star recommendation without hesitation.

I had a tricky wisdom tooth removed neatly and without pain! The extraction was not a drawn-out experience (which I appreciated as a nervous patient), and Dr. Leonard took care throughout the procedure to announce steps being taken, check on my wellbeing and to repeat the important points of aftercare as needed. Cannot emphasise the standard of care enough – my tooth was removed early in the morning and nearly all swelling had dissipated by dinner time! Thanks all :0)

Fantastic experience: I had two wisdom teeth and a premolar removed in Northumberland Dental over the course of a few weeks by Dr Leonard and can't speak highly enough of how comfortable I was made feel during the procedures, the efficiency of the service, after care follow up and general high quality of the work. Would highly recommend to anyone who has to have teeth removed.

Negative experience: My partner had their wisdom tooth removed with Gary Leonard and he was rushing through the entire process. he did not wait for local anesthesia to take effect and immediately dive into the procedure. My partner was in extreme pain throughout and attempted to ask him to stop but he kept going. When my partner came out, they were crying by the traumatic experience. Entire procedure ended in 20 minutes and right after another patient went in, no follow-up care or anything. 300 euros for such sub-standard service + another 250 euros for pre-surgery consultation which was 5 minutes Extremely disappointed and the entire thing feels like he is a robot with little empathy in a tooth surgery factory. My partner had infection a few days, very swollen, with severe pain. I know this is sub-standard because I had mine removed elsewhere and there was 0 pain, great service with risks of the procedure clearly explained by the surgeon before proceeding.

Fantastic experience: I had an operation recently to remove my two wisdom teeth (one top one bottom on the right hand side) with Dr Gary Leonard. I had a consultation two months previous to the surgery, where he explained the options and the price of it. I went with sedation, as I had had my other two removed previously a number of years before and I was awake for it, and I didn’t want to have that option again! The surgery went really well and the aftercare instructions were very well laid out, as well as a follow up call/text a week and a half later. Overall a fantastic service and I would recommend this dental surgery to anyone

Negative experience: The nurse and the receptionist were nice , the experience not pleasant, if you're anxious or nervous, I don't recommend them at all as the dentist was extremely insensitive, I could hear him calling my case a "nightmare " because i had a gagging problem and the nervousness while I was doing my x ray, I was extremely upset leaving the premises
