Negative experience: I very recently had an appointment with Dr. Jordanov. Dismissive, somewhat arrogant, and overall, unhelpful. I left with the same pain I came in. As I didn't get any prescription or adequate care, the inflammation got even worse. This dentist doesn't seem to care if you and your teeth are ok or not. Terrible experience!

Negative experience: They really need to manage their appointments much much better. It is not the first time that they keep me waiting there at the reception while the doctor was attending other patients. This time it was 35 minutes until I decided to leave. I really hope they take this feedback in order to plan better the time allocation for patients.

Fantastic experience: A great experience with Dr.Ewelina who did an outstanding job in helping restore appearance on two teeth with erosion / chip. She made me feel at ease from the off and attentive at all times to any potential tooth sensitivity.

Fantastic experience: Used to regularly get three-monthly dental clean but haven't been to dentist in years (lack of funds). Decided to take advantage of Government supports for an annual checkup and clean. Was recommended Smiles in Grand Canal, specifically Dr Jamie. Whole visit cost €15 and is by far the best clean I've ever experienced. Mouth feels brand new and service was excellent, in my opinion. Highly recommend based on my own experience.

Negative experience: This is the third time I have a cleaning in this clinic and compared to the previous two, this felt rough and rushed. Although I was bleeding I was told to swallow, which I refused. I’m also concerned about the fact that the doctor touched the keyboard and other items on his desk while wearing the same gloves he used to touch and even insert his fingers in my mouth. He even wiped the device he was using in my mouth with his hand even though the nurse had a tissue for that. Keyboards have a great amount of dirt and germs, so gloves should be removed before touching those devices and should only be worn to work in patients’ mouths.

Fantastic experience: Visiting tourist staying at a nearby hotel. Had a dental issue and stopped in to see if they could help. Very friendly and efficient . They were able to fit me in immediately and fixed my issue. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I would like to note that the dentist who treated me was very friendly, understanding and attentive. The reason I am not recommending Smile at Grand Canal is because they recommended a filling change which resulted in two months of follow up visits due to pain which occurred as a result of the treatment. In the end, a referral to a specialist was issued for a root canal. The problem lies in the fact that I specifically told the Dentist who treated me that I was previously told at Smiles that if that tooth gets opened, it would end up needing root canal which I did not want due to personal goals. The dentist dismissed that information saying it wouldn't be needed. Now, not only do I need to pay for a root canal but am further delayed to reach my personal goal. The most frustrating thing here is that the tooth didn't hurt before the filling was changed.

Fantastic experience: Always a great experience with all staff in this practice, would recommend it to anyone

Negative experience: I booked for Scale and Polish. The receptionist said that by law they have to x-ray and check up first. Surprise surprise they found imperfections and they really pushed me to come back for a treatment (don't worry! Covered by the insurance!). The hygienist said that this was caused by a missing molar, that I lost when I was young, and never replaced, which is absolutely not true. Strange, because my dentist said was all fine in January. The Scale and Polish was less than 5min job. Just passed the washer on my teeth and all done. Felt absolutely no difference compared to a normal teeth brushing. 150e for this is a scam. Now I know why there's so much appointment availability...

Positive experience: I like Smiles a lot, but it can be consultant dependant. I really liked my previous consultant but the last few times there was a lot of pressure to do procedures that were not really necessary i.e. teeth whitening to start with, but also other (+EUR 1K) expensive "necessary" procedures (some of which I did not do) that became no longer necessary once I changed consultant. Just to keep an eye...perhaps it was just a conincidence but this broke my trust on the level of integrity with which the previous consultant operated.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Carla Navarro and found her to be excellent. I went through a harrowing mouth and neck cancer and she has continued to maintain my teeth despite 35 radiation treatments and we they are still perfect. Have recomended her to numerous friends and family and all agree she is the best!

Negative experience: The worst clinique I've ever been. Like it's modern and blablabla but I got three filling with them and in less then in two years I had to redo all three of them and insurance doesn't want to cover it cause it's less then 24 months and they can only offer me the same doctor that I obviously won't allow to come close to me ever again. Now I'm trying to get my money back through the Dentist Association. If you value your health stay away from them.

Negative experience: Absolute crooks are still refusing to acknowledge that they have stolen my money. DO NOT TRUST THEM. Awful. Despite the fact that I qualified for PRSI assistance for my appointment they charged me full price and basically don’t care because they already have my money. Blew me off on the phone, no follow up. Will not be returning.

Fantastic experience: Today, I received an excellent service and really great care at Smiles Dental. The dentist DR BOGDAN MANEA was really nice and caring, as well as the dental assistant with him. I had a tooth extraction and he provided the instructions very nicely to me, and kept me calm throughout the whole procedure. I never had such a nice comfort and service from a dentist like I had today. He rest assured that everything will be ok and checked on me almost every minute if I was doing ok. Also, another dentist came to assist because my tooth was a little bit hard to take out, but she was really nice and caring aswell. I forgot her name but she had blonde hair. She kept asking me every few minutes if I’m ok and I should let them know if I experience any discomfort. I was a bit nervous going to get my tooth extracted, but the level of confidence and care that I received kept me calm and confident the whole time. Also the receptionist was really nice. She greeted me with a nice welcome and was kind. Thank you for the wonderful service.

Negative experience: Terrible service! I lost a filling and call them, the earliest appointment I could get was in 2 weeks time. I made a point that I need the lost filling replaced on the day and I did not want just a check up and then having to wait another 2 weeks for actual treatment. I was suggested an "emergency" appointment. Received 2 reminders by text. At 18.55 pm on the night before the appointment I received another text informing me that there will be an additional charge of €50 for the "emergency" appointment. I called them the next day and was told that, according to their records, I was informed about the charge (I WAS NOT!) and one way or another there will be a charge of €50 in addition to the cost of the treatment (emergency or a regular check up). I cancel the appointment. Lost 2 weeks with them! Anyways, I called another dentist and got an appointment in 2 days time. Should have done that it in the first place. It is not the first time that Smiles Dental messed around with the check up charge. In Dundrum, the dentist charged me even though there was no check up. In Dun Laoghaire they claimed for me through PRSI scheme even though there was no check up, only an emergency treatment, as I learnt later in the year when I went to another dentist.

Fantastic experience: I was late for my appointment this morning but the staffs were very supportive. They helped me to accommodate another appointment. My appointment with Dr. Anca was very quick and effective. Anca is very straight forward and give me good advice (floss at least once everyday!). And then one of the staffs, Rocco, helped me a lot with the treatment plan. We all know that going to dentist is super expensive in Ireland. The staffs acknowledge that and they are here to find the best solution that works for both. I would recommend this place

Negative experience: I did my regular check-up and polishing and scaling at Smile in GC. Very disappointed on quality of service. The dentist wanted me to do an expensive treatment on one of my tooth, even though it was not painful and had the same crown for over 10 years. I went to another clinic for 2nd advice and to a root canal specialist, did multiple scans again, who advices to not do anything, and that it’s completely normal. Polishing with Smiles is also very fast and not proper. It appear they just want to turn over patients as quickly as they can, charge you every step of the way and provide recommendations to their specialist friends. Won’t be coming back!

Negative experience: Lying about what was the right treatment for my tooth, spent crazy money because of two dentist from this place even after they couldn’t fix my problem with my tooth they told me to go to my country to have the right treatment instead of doing their job. Disgusting. Still waiting for my money back, the manager didn’t get back to me!

Fantastic experience: I'm very happy with my experience here. I can't recommend Dr Konstancja Stanclik enough. Patient, happy to go through every question I had and made lots of recommendations. I was hugely impressed when she asked me to come back in for a review after she spotted a relatively minor cosmetic issue that she wanted to fix. Other dentists would not have done this. I was slightly concerned that the nature of Smiles means dentists are more likely to move to a different practice but I've had great experience with a former dentist and Dr Stanclik who took over my care.

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience with Dr. Jalal Khan. There was fluid retention under one of the gums. It was very painful wasn't able to sleep. He did x-rays, explained the problem, drained the fluid, gave some local anaesthetic and some meds. He's very good at fixing problems.

Fantastic experience: I had my wisdom tooth extracted by dr. Dimche and being someone who had never had an extraction before I was quite nervous, he took the time to talk me through the procedure and done an excellent job I couldn’t recommend him enough.

Negative experience: Visited Grand Canal Smiles Clinic, dentist Jalal Wishal said your wisdom tooth needs to be extracted and will take few minutes as it’s a simple procedure. After more than an hour, I ended up with my tuberosity and then he sutured my tooth back in its place and referred me to Dublin Dental Hospital. After more than 2 months of pain and suffering, I ended up with a major surgery at Dublin Dental Hospital recently. Worst ever experience with any dentist.

Negative experience: Visited this practice 4 months ago with issues with my wisdom teeth. I did xrays in the practice and was told that I needed to go for scans to see the best course of action due to the placement of my teeth and that a referral would be sent, after which I could begin thinking about out things I wanted to fix. I was also told that I would be recommended a physio to help with jaw tension which I had been suffering with 4 months later, multiple calls unanswered, I finally got an appointment for a scan, the following day it was cancelled, appointment was rescheduled and 2 hours before I was due to attend my appointment it was cancelled again. Rest assured I never received the information about the physiotherapist. Will not be booking back with this practice

Fantastic experience: I have received a number of treatments from Dr Anca. I have never felt so relaxed about visiting the dentist. She explains everything that is going on during the treatment and is constantly checking that everything is okay throughout the procedure.

Fantastic experience: Dr Ewelina Szkaradek looked after me with phenomenal care. I got Invisalign Braces in the Grand Canal location in 2020. The treatment took 7/8 months & was top class from start to finish. Would recommend to a friend and the treatment was painless, quick and made a huge difference. On a personal note, Ewelina was lovely and was very accommodating if I needed to see her. Great work

Fantastic experience: Originally I planned to have visit to Dr. Dimche, but as he was on holidays I was booked with Dr. Anca Ghidanac. Professional and at same time relaxed, described every step she took while re cleaning root canal, as dentist in my country didn't do proper job. Had a pain for few months, but guess what? Have no pain anymore. Btw they always check on you how you keeping after treatment. So yes I do suggest Dr. Anca and smiles dental. Thanks
