Fantastic experience: I have had a number of procedures carried out by Dr Declan Maloney. Today l had 2 teeth extracted. Before carrying out the extractions Declan fully explained what would be involved,and the aftercare l should follow. Both extractions went smoothly and honestly without issue. I have attended Declan on a number of occasions and l have always found him to be professional, friendly and patient focused. What l really like is that Dr Maloney keeps in contact after the procedure to see how you are. From my personal experiences, l highly recommend Dr Declan Maloney .

Fantastic experience: I had 2 impacted wisdom teeth removed in May. This was completed efficiently under local anaesthetic without the need for hospital referral. Declan excels at after-care which helped during my recovery. He was responsive and adjusted my treatment plan in the following days. I recovered well without complications. Overall, very happy :)

Fantastic experience: I had incredible pain with my impacted wisdom teeth. Dr. Moloney gave me a same day appointment. I was anxious and shaking but his confidence and experienced light-hands made the surgical extraction feel like a 10min painless easy job, even the anesthetics were quick and easy. He followed me up, made sure there was no complications. Easy to communicate with and reassuring. Cannot recommend him enough!

Fantastic experience: It was my first time with his practice and I had a very positive experience. Declan accommodated me very fast for my concern. He explained every step along procedure. Also, I took the opportunity to replace my night mouth guard for one he recommended and it has been a snug fit.

Fantastic experience: Really pleased with my son's orthodontic care with Declan and particularly how fast the whole treatment was. Other practitioners had advised that pre-treatment surgery and extraction were needed. Declan felt there was no need to rush it and advised to allow the teeth would "right itself" before starting treatment. It worked - no surgery was needed. While he uses Invasalign clear braces on some patients, Declan recommended the fast braces instead. Very friendly and efficient. Have recommended Declan to many friends. April-2025: I recently got clear aligners for a slight relapse. It took only a month to realign the teeth. The best part is that no one knew I had the invisible aligners on. Declan listens to what I wish to achieve and works with me to get the best results possible. Delighted with the great result in such a short space of time!

Fantastic experience: In 2009 I attended Ranelagh Court Dental after a football accident resulted in me having to get two crowns. I have never had a bother since getting those crowns and I've been attending ever since. I can not recommend Declan enough.

Negative experience: I had a very poor experience at this clinic, Declan repeatedly insisted I needed very expensive crowns on all teeth which had previous fillings (a second opinion states these fillings were in perfect condition). Even the Xtra specifically cost 200 euro, a service normally free during a routine checkup in other clinics. I received constant up selling attempts throughout the appointment which made me very uncomfortable, I cannot recommend this clinic.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Declan for about a year now and have had nothing but positive experiences. When I first visited I had many dental issues (cavities, receding gum line, sensitivity) - through Declan’s treatment, all those issues were improved or resolved. I would absolutely recommend Declan as a dentist for both his expertise as well as his patient-first approach!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Moloney is an excellent dentist and very personable. He recently made a crown for me and fitted me with a night guard that I had needed for a long time. The crown procedure was relatively painless, and the night guard fits comfortably. I adjusted to it quickly, so I’m a happy patient.

Fantastic experience: Very good dental experience. Came for an aesthetic tooth hole replacement and ended up with a new tooth bridged and all teeth aligned. Changed my smile ! Fantastic experience: In my experience Declan has been a reliable, trustworthy dentist. I had a crown done by Declan a few months ago and the process ran smoothly, I have had no issues since. My mouth guard has also been durable and lasted a few years with no problems.

Fantastic experience: Recently had an impacted wisdom teeth removal done by Declan here. It was done under local anaesthetic and the procedure went perfectly. I had barely any recovery time and the pain wasn’t too bad. I’ve also had seals done by Declan and I’ve never had to get a filling in my 22 years! Couldn’t recommend this place more!

Fantastic experience: Declan accommodated me in a very time efficient manner when I went to him with an emergency tooth, he explained the difficult dental surgery effectively with the increased risks to my sinus and how best to deal with this. Even though the surgery was a difficult task I recovered quickly and was feeling back to myself within a day or two. Declan also showed his compassion and care for his patients by regularly checking up on me and my progress. I would recommend him for all dental needs big or small.

Fantastic experience: Dr Moloney has been the first dentist i have been to after 6 years of abstaining. Declan came highly recommend from a doctor i visit. I have known Dr. Moloney for a good few years and have follwed his excellent results with this unbelievable method called FastBraces. No extractions required (in 99% of the cases), no pain, wider smiles and so much faster than any other method. Dr Moloney is your best choice if you are considering braces! Negative experience: I was a first-time patient with Declan at Ranelagh Dental Clinic, drawn in by the promises of fastbraces: new technology, short treatment time, and cost-effectiveness. My experience, however, was anything but satisfactory. Despite the website prominently advertising free consultations, Declan informed me that the assessment would cost €150, claiming his schedule was booked six months in advance—only to suddenly find an opening for me the next day. This was confusing and frustrating, as most other clinics offer free consultations, and his refusal to discuss any pricing without payment felt deceptive. A few days later, I reached out again, even providing photos and scans from a previous assessment, hoping to get at least a rough estimate of the costs before committing to the consultation. I had braces when I was younger, so I was aware that my case involved minor corrections. Declan, however, remained adamant about not giving any information without the €150 payment. When he finally, and reluctantly, provided a range of €2,000 to €8,500, I decided to book the consultation. Upon meeting Declan, I was immediately asked personal questions about my origin and profession, which felt like an attempt to gauge how much he could charge me. Despite this, I remained professional at all times, even as the consultation itself was shockingly brief—just five minutes to take some photos and scans. During this time, Declan refused to answer any questions, insisting that he would only do so via WhatsApp after the consultation. This behavior was bizarre and unprovoked, but I trusted him and proceeded. The next day, Declan quoted me €6,500 for the treatment, stating it would take 100 days—yet this price was far higher than what I'd been quoted for other, more established treatments like regular braces, ceramic braces, and even Invisalign! When I asked for an explanation, his responses were dismissive and condescending. He claimed he was "not going to get into that" and brushed off my legitimate questions as "unnecessary waste conversation." His tone made it clear that he had no interest in engaging with me as a patient, only in securing the payment. Despite Declan’s rude and dismissive behavior, I maintained my professionalism and even gave him the opportunity to address my concerns privately. Unfortunately, he chose to ignore my attempt at resolving the issue amicably. In the end, I was left feeling scammed and disrespected. Declan’s behavior, combined with his refusal to provide clear, honest information, made it obvious that patient care was not his priority. I strongly advise others to think twice before considering this clinic. My experience suggests that Declan is more interested in financial gain than in providing quality care. If Declan attempts to discredit this review, I have saved the full conversation logs to verify everything I’ve said here.

Negative experience: If it could be given -5 stars I would give it to him. Lousy clinic, the first thing they care about is money, they talk about money from the start without asking you what kind of service you are going for. Then they charge you before performing any kind of service. On top of that when they start they tell you that they can't do the service you are going for and they want to sell you more services that are three times the amount you started with. As I am not a dentist I decided to go and ask other dentists and they all told you the same thing, it is not necessary all that treatment just to replace the invisalign button on the tooth. Definitely not recommended at all, I felt cheated.

Fantastic experience: Declan & Caroline took me in for an emergency appointment at last minute notice (even delaying their end of day to squeeze me in). They were incredibly skilled and solved a pain which 3 other dentists were not able to get to the bottom of. The level of care was second to none and they were very patient with a nervous patient. Fantastic experience: I had emergency surgical removal done for two impacted wisdom teeth at Ranelagh Court Dental Clinic (both partly erupted with pain and swelling) I called in on Sunday (knowing the clinic is closed) and received a text back after a couple of minutes from them. After explaining my situation they booked me in for a check-up and surgery the next day (Doctor Declan was off on that day but came in to help due to it being an emergency, something most wouldn't do). Surgery was successful (only local anesthetic was used) painless and recovery is swift despite tooth sectioning, bone removal and stiches required. Amazing work, couldn't recommend Ranelagh Court Dental Clinic enough!

Fantastic experience: I attended Ranelagh Court Dental Clinic in order to repair the chunk taken out of my front left tooth. I was taken in with open arms on very short notice and was put through a painless and efficient procedure which had me looking and feeling like normal again in 40 minutes. They were very caring and professional and couldn’t have asked for better treatment.

Fantastic experience: Would heartily recommend Ranelagh Court Dental Clinic. Recently went for emergency treatment for impacted wisdom teeth. Both problem teeth, which needed taking out, were removed quickly and without fuss with local anaesthetic. Fantastic experience: I started going to Ranelagh Dental clinic while pregnant. I had very bad pregnancy gum bleeds, which I suffered with for far too long until I eventually plucked up the courage to attend the clinic. Within weeks I was in a much better condition and I have never looked back. The team are just so re assuring and kind. Fast forward almost 8 years and I’ve attended this clinic for all my dental needs including facial aesthetics - which I just love how natural they look and how gentle the team are. I’ve also since had my little girl attend, who was initially nervous but now she loves heading in for her check up. Even my husband made the switch from his long term family dentist - I’d highly recommend them.

Positive experience: I’ve been going to Declan for over 10 years and he’s very good at keeping the patient in the loop at each stage of the dental process. Whilst he can be a bit expensive, he’s great at doing a lot of preventative work therefore keeping your teeth healthier in the long run. Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I recently joined Ranelagh dental clinic for a complicated impacted wisdom tooth and my overall treatment was fantastic. Not only was my recovery relatively quick but Dr Maloney was very helpful, he constantly kept in touch to follow up on my recovery and was there to answer any follow up questions that arose within the span of my recovery. He also provided a very detailed explanations coupled with scan of what was wrong with my tooth. Overall I am very happy and satisfied with the treatment I have received and plan to come back for future treatments, follow ups and consultation.

Fantastic experience: Very happy with treatment. Dentist saw me quickly because of loose tooth. He has given very good advice for my ongoing treatment. Denture makes more sense in my case rather than implants - extensive gum infection. I would recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: I have been attending the Ranelagh Court Dental Clinic for one year and I find them amazing. I have undergone three dental extractions under local anaesthetic, two of them quite difficult ones, and in all cases they have been great. Careful, precise and also very sensitive, they have explained me everything before, during an after the extractions. Even the following days they kept collecting information about the situation, providing advice and support. Never happened before! Also on routine treatment I have only had positive experience.

Fantastic experience: Had Crooked upper front teeth, decided to do Orthodontics and in about 80 days got ideal Results with Dr. Moloney. Fantastic. Post orthodontics got retainers which are super comfortable as well as night guards in my case which I didnt know I needed and was not informed previously by others. Over that time he has undertaken a lot of complex work for me ( crowns, deep root fillings etc and his work has been top class resulting in long term fixes). He is also extremely responsive if an issue which requires immediate/ urgent attention. For sure the best all round dentist I have attended.

Any time of the day (or night) I had questions, concerns, queries, thoughts — Dr add was there to answer or assist me. Over the years, have had a range of dental work from routine cleaning to fillings, a surgical extraction, root canals and a post and core crown all carried out expertly by Declan. Fantastic experience: I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed in two different sessions this year by Declan and he did a brilliant job. The procedure was conducted using local anaesthetic, It was a smooth and quick procedure as I was in and out in 30 minutes both times. The recovery was great as well, due to his aftercare instructions. This allowed me to be back to my best within 3 days

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Declan by my brother who has been very impressed with his dental work. Declan removed two impacted wisdom teeth for me. The procedure was done under local anaesthetic with no sedation. It was quick and painless, and the recovery was amazingly quick - I did not need any painkillers after the first 12 hours, and was back in work within 2 days. I have never heard of such a quick procedure and recovery for impacted wisdom teeth. He made sure to check in on me after the procedure also. An excellent and caring dentist, I would definitely recommend Declan to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Hands down the best dentist I’ve ever been to. Had a lot of work done over the course of 3 months ( periodontal and crowns) I never felt any discomfort during any of the sessions and the quality of the work was exceptional. I’ve also never been to a dentist so focused on preventative measures and i have learned a lot about how to really care for my teeth and gums. In terms of care, you could not be in better hands than Declan and his staff. All are extremely accommodating, efficient and generally wonderful people to talk to inbetween rinses! Fantastic experience: After a few years of non-treatment (not good, I know :P), I needed a dentist to analyse my situation, advise me on the required treatments and sort out my dental problems ASAP. All went very fast: I contacted Declan on WhatsApp, he answered me the same day, I did X-ray and examination the next day and then, the week after, we started to treat my teeth. I think it is very rare to find such a quick and easy process in Dublin (even elsewhere). His treatments are excellent, you truly feel that your are in good hands. Fantastic experience: I started going to Declan in 2019. I had to get a root canal done. The pain I had was horrible. I couldn't sleep. After Declan had finished the treatment, I had the best sleep I've had in a long time. No pain. I've since had gum treatment, regular cleans and decided last year to get Invisalign done. He is also very good with children both in terms of prevention and dental care. In case of emergencies they always gave me the possibility to have an appointment in a short time.
