Negative experience: Very rude receptionist...not a welcoming place

Negative experience: Last Friday, I went to an appointment with Dr. Giri Govardan at this dental clinic to have a tooth extraction. While everything went well, the doctor and the assistants were kind. The doctor performed the tooth extraction. I paid, went home, and when I arrived home with a swollen face and a bruise on my cheek, I found that the doctor had broken the tooth next to the one he had extracted. In a lot of pain and very nervous, I tried to call on the phone and no one answered me. I left several messages on the answering machine and since I don't speak English well, I tried to express myself as best as I could. When I returned today for them to see the broken tooth and give me a solution, they denied that it was their responsibility. The doctor said that my tooth was already broken before and that I have to go back and pay to fix the broken tooth and another molar as well. Additionally, I tried to apologize for the messages from Friday, and the secretary Cathy Butler was rude, unpleasant, and unfriendly towards me. She took advantage of the fact that I didn’t understand her well to say something rude. I will never return to this dentist, and I do not recommend him to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Can't speak highly enough about these guys. Visited this morning and was very very impressed by all members of staff and received first class work from a brilliant dentist and was not overly charged. Fair play. And well done

Fantastic experience: From the warm friendly receptionists, the caring smiling dental nurse to the highly professional, skilled and calm John Prida, my experience at arklow dental was exceptional. My tooth was extracted before I knew it. At every stage I felt in good hands and that I had finally come to the right place. For anyone, like myself who has avoided the dentist for decades due to awful experiences, I can't recommend them highly enough. My faith has been restored. Many thanks to everyone!

Fantastic experience: Can’t recommend them enough! I have terrible anxiety and I had to get a wisdom tooth pulled. I was very stressed and a fabulous young dental assistant held my hand through the whole process. If it wasn’t for her compassion I’d have ran out the door! My dentist was very good too they made a awful procedure bearable and I couldn’t be more grateful!

Fantastic experience: Very professional. They will walk you through everything step by step. I used to be someone who feared dentist - not anymore. The staff is super friendly and the lady behind the reception desk is always very kind and helpful. I can recommend 100%

Fantastic experience: Am usually very nervous getting anything done with my teeth or visiting the dentist in general but the team I met today were amazing. Very calming, informative and understanding. Will be going to arklow Dental from now on.

Fantastic experience: I can't reccommend Arklow Dental and Emily Lordan and all the team enough. I am an extremely nervous patient and she could not do enough to reassure me and put me at ease. It has been many, many years since I have visited a dentist after a bad experience but Emily was so patient, gentle and understanding explaining everything in advance. Negative experience: Extremely rude receptionist who answered my call I spoke two words and got an aggressive tone as to why I was contacting them (strange for a business to react that way) I was referred from a previous dentist as they take medical card patients the person got snotty and said who told you that and said another dentist also does (again strange for a business to say) this dentist also is not currently taking new medical card patients. Completely unacceptable behaviour for nothing only wanting an appointment for a medical need

Fantastic experience: So impressed and happy with this place! Such lovely friendly and welcoming team that they have! Also a very professional and thorough job on my teeth which are looking amazingly clean now. Even during the middle of the Covid pandemic, when getting routine procedures can feel scary, they make it feel very comfortable. There is also a doctor doing small botox and filler procedures. Will definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: Danielle and the whole team in Arklow dental make going to the dentist almost enjoyable. I have had a few fillings done with her and also an extraction that was unbelievably quick and painless. I would highly recommend. I love my teeth for the first time ever after visiting Arklow dental!

Fantastic experience: Danielle is an extremely knowledgeable and friendly dentist. After an xray she repaired a filling on the left side of my mouth. No pain and no feelings of numbness afterwards. Work was done super quick along with a scale and polish. She also provided me with really good advice for personal teeth cleaning. The Surgery also have really good procedures to reduce the Covid 19 risk which I was glad to see and you can see all the staff are very conscious of this risk . Will be returning to Arklow Dental Surgery every 6 months for a check up from here on out.
