Negative experience: My teenage son went here for his first cleaning which was covered from his prsi with a payment of €15 due. His visit was short and rushed. Despite not expecting any discomfort the dentist gave him a general anaesthetic and then charged him an additional €15 for the privilege without discussion. I find it concerning that anaesthetic was administered unnecessarily let alone he was then charged for it.

Fantastic experience: I had such a brilliant experience with Monica I really have to share it. I had two extractions. One being a stubborn root extraction. I also had to have an impression and get 3 false teeth. I never felt one bit of pain and my recovery was very comfortable. Monica's professionalism was outstanding. The way she explained everything and advised accordingly. Her staff were also amazing from the time you step inside the door you felt welcomed and relaxed. The receptionist was great and very helpful also. I could go on and on about my wonderful experience, I would recommend Monica 100 per cent to anyone. Best wishes for the future and I will certainly be back.

Fantastic experience: Big thanks to Monica and all the staff at Apollonian Dental care Ashfield from John Greene Arklow I had a emergency dental appointment on Monday 4 November with a bad broken tooth a filling’ and teeth cleaning never liked going to a dentist . Now have a good one will go back no problem highly recommend to anyone

Negative experience: Less than 10 minutes for a check up, scale and polish? Was seen at 2.10pm and left and paid by 2.18pm. As my teeth did not feel or nor look cleaner when I left, I rang my orthodontist and asked for a referral to another dentist for a check up to be safe. Two weeks later, my new dentist checked my teeth and was surprised by the level of tarter and plaque still present and she told me my teeth were not adequately cleaned. She confirmed that that the average clean and check up should take at least 30 minutes to an hour, not less than 10 minutes. She cleaned my teeth properly and the difference was notable. Disappointing because people put a lot of trust in their dentists and deserve better than a rushed check up and clean.

Fantastic experience: Excellent dentist. I needed a tricky wisdom tooth removed and Dr Monica along with the dental nurse Maria provided brilliant care and removed the wisdom tooth with no issues. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone who is a nervous patient as they help put you at ease with their calm demeanour.

Fantastic experience: Very professional staff and so helpfull. I got a front tooth cracked and everywhere the waiting times were weeks. I came to dr. Monica and the next day i had the tooth fixed like was never broken. Now i know where to call when i have a tooth problem.

I broke a filling and was up the walls with nerves before I attended. Fantastic experience: What a lovely and helpful bunch of people to deal with. After my examination I was made aware of some fillings that I needed and I was given the option to have a chip in my front tooth repaired. It was all done over two appointments and I’m delighted with the job. Will highly recommend Monica and her team to everyone.

Negative experience: Unfortunately they wouldn’t help me today and I’m in a lot of pain with a chipped back tooth. I’d heard from a friend this place always helps emergency cases but it seems sadly this isn’t the case anymore. In fact, very little compassion was demonstrated. **Edit: Just to say thankfully I have secured an emergency appt with another local dentist. They said they wouldn’t leave anyone in pain. Also, to the comment suggesting I go to the hospital A&E, our A&E departments are already very over burdened as it is. I’m not sure that is appropriate advice to be giving. Also interesting that you had time to reply to my review (within 30 mins of me posting it) but didn’t have time to see me. Says it all really.
