Negative experience: I called to book an appointment and was just about to confirm it. I asked if I could use a PRSI consultation, and instead of answering clearly, the receptionist kept pushing me to book a regular consultation instead. She was saying things that made it feel like she was trying to talk me out of using my PRSI entitlement. In the end, she told me to just go to another clinic. I found the entire interaction rude and unprofessional. I was genuinely trying to book an appointment, but the way I was spoken to made me feel unwelcome and not valued as a patient.

Fantastic experience: I have had numerous treatments done in central Dental Clinic. They are a highly professional team and very well trained. They follow all safety standards to a really high standard which makes you feel at ease.I couldn’t recommend them enough they tick all the boxes. Friendly staff, safe and hygienic environment, excellent at treatments and well priced. Five stars rated treatments every time.

Fantastic experience: I feel the recent reviews of this dental surgery to be a serious misrepresentation of how meticulous , considerate and attentive they actually are. I have attended this surgery regularly since moving to Lucan 6 years ago. I am a somewhat nervous patient and was very relieved to find somewhere with such a high standard of service! I receive regular cleans and have had a variety of procedures both routine and non carried out over the years that were always performed to an exceptional standard. Brendan and his colleagues always make every effort to provide a swift appointment and the dental surgeons and nurses whom have treated me over the years namely Ieva and most recently Xiang deserve recognition for the outstanding treatment they provide.

Negative experience: WARNING; Do NOT attend here. (This is the 1st time I have ever felt the need to warn off prospective clients to a business). My daughter, a patient in this practice for the last 5 years, had severe pain, with swollen face, last weekend (Bank Hol). She rang early on Tuesday morning for an emergency appointment and was met with a very unsympathetic response, being told that the next available appointment was August 28th, over three weeks time. She asked if she could be put on a cancellation list and was told 'No'. She rang a local dentist where she was told that they were full that day and advised to get back to her own dentist for a prescription. She followed this advice and was again told 'No, not possible'. There was no understanding or attempt to offer advice to her. In despair, she rang the local dentist back to ask if they could possibly give a prescription and they very kindly suggested that she call in and they were able to fit her in between appointments. She received treatment, including antibiotics which were necessary. They have arranged to deal with an impacted wisdom tooth as soon as the bad infection has cleared. Fantastic experience: I have lived my whole life with a fear of Dentists visits to the point of feeling nauseated before and while in the chair. I visited this clinic today. Brendan made me full at ease while I made the appointment last week and assured me that I would be fine, and how right he was. Dr Xiang Ruan and his assistant Roxanna looked after me so well, explained everything in detail, step my step. offered to stop at anytime if I was stressed or nervous. Negative experience: Really would not recommend this place. Booked for a scale and polish as my usual dentist was booked for weeks. The place itself is a very strange set up - an old house with an upstairs room converted into a dental clinic room, downstairs looks nothing like youd expect from a professional dental clinic, the waiting room is grotty, dull with old sunken in couches. It's also shared with a solicitors office, a staff member of which had to move their car for me to get out as the parking is extremely limited and awkward. The scale and polish lasted no more than 10 minutes. I told the dentist I had pain in a back tooth and asked if it needed a filling. He told me it was just stained? I had no confidence in this place so I didn't push it. The nurse seemed to not know what she was to be doing and the dentist had to tell her constantly what to do. I understand she may have been in training but at the very least she should know herself to have the chart ready instead of just sitting there doing nothing. €80 for the experience and of course a few weeks later I booked an appointment with my dentist and surprise, surprise I did need a filling in that "just stained" back tooth!

Negative experience: The old man working in reception is as rude and useless as you can get. Came in for a report from an accident I had few years back and every time I come in he keeps telling me to come back and they don’t do that sort of thing?! What kind of dentist doesn’t have a file of each patient

Negative experience: They glued back my tooth crown and last for 2 or 3 months and fell off . Not happy with the service they keept me with the head up side down and felt really sick after that . Really disappointed Never go back again .

Negative experience: Avoid very expensive. Had a simple and minor filling which I had no issue with and ended up with extreme sensitivity. When I eventually got a check up on it I was advised that I may need a rut canal to fix it. They charged me 15 euro for the X-ray. And then asked am I booking in for my other filling. Never again use this dentist

Fantastic experience: Had an amazing experience at Central Dental. The receptionist Noreen was very polite and accomodating. The dentist Dr musfir and dental nurse who done my teeth were amazing. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Negative experience: Went here a few days ago as my normal dentist was fully booked and I thought I needed a filling. Avoid! I paid €70 for an x-ray and prescription??? The dentist told me I needed a root canal and laughed. when I was leaving the receptionist was talking on her phone and just clicked her fingers for my receipt and handed me the card machine. So unprofessional!

Negative experience: I have been to the clinic about 4 times. Overall just a disappointing service. It was all a bit lazy. The dentist referral letter to remove my wisdom teeth was completely wrong and I had to go back twice to get it fixed. He didn't even reference the correct tooth to be removed in the end.

Fantastic experience: Very easy to set up an appointment. I had tried other local dentists but whenever I called the nearest one to me, it always went straight to voicemail. I also liked the little reminder text the day before which is very helpful. As for the dentists, they were friendly and professional. Made me feel at ease. Overall, good experience

Negative experience: I went to this dentist to have my teeth cleaned and was informed that I needed a number of fillings. I was having no trouble whatsoever with my teeth. She filled two of my back teeth and proceeded to remove some of a filling I had in another tooth, she then cut my lip with a metal strip she was using to increase the gaps in my teeth, I have been in constant pain for the last month in the teeth she filled and in the tooth she removed some of the filling from. Please avoid this practice at all cost. I’m looking for recommendations for a dentist to fix the mess that was made of my teeth. As I’ve said I have had no pain or issues for at least 15 years the only visits to the dentist have been for cleaning although it was about 2 years since my last visit but no other dentist recommended that I should have anhh to work done to my teeth. I am very displeased with the treatment I have received and am in constant pain since mhh y visit to this practice so stay away

Negative experience: Visited this dentist in the past never an issue, On this occasion I need extensive jobs done on my teeth ,filling extractions , root canal, although the dentist can obviously do all this work , I was fobed off too 4 dentists all outside of my reach as referrals, basically need a car to get them . When I inquired why I cant be seen too at there clinic , I received no response. Not impressed,and very perplexed as to why a dentist would not carry out the work as I live within 2 mile radius. Im left now in position to source my own dentist locally who will carry out the work .

Fantastic experience: My mother had a severe tooth ache and was dealt with speedily and professionally. During the Covid crisis it can be extremely daunting and difficult to access essential services, the central clinic, Lucan , provided swift and informative advice and were next to none with their customer service.
