Fantastic experience: A bad experience at the dentist during my teens had but me off going for regular check ups and taking care of my teeth. Knowing I required quite a bit of work to be done, and based on recommendations from family, I decided to go to O'connor Moore dental practice for a check up. From start to finish, it was an excellent experience dealing with Patrick and his team and I was left feeling reassured that dentristy has advanced a lot over the years and is a much better experience. That has certainly been my experience after my first treatment and I cannot recommend them enough. If you are looking for a state of the art dentristy practice with a 5 star service delivered by a professional and friendly team, look no further.

Fantastic experience: While looking for a new Dentist a few months ago, this practice came recommended. I looked into a couple of different dentists and did my research and read reviews. In doing so I found that O'Connor Moore Dental Practice seemed to be very good at putting patients at ease and the many reviews confirmed this. Due to a past experience, I had been procrastinating and was a little nervous but I made the call and was so glad I did. I have to say my experience confirmed all of what they advertise themselves to be. When you come in you are treated politely and with respect. While waiting in the waiting area there is a calming feel to the room. From there I went to see the dentist, Patrick was his name. I cannot say enough for his mannerism, his calm tone and the way in which he explains everything to you. As a new patient, at no time did I feel rushed, he did a thorough exam on my teeth and told me things I had not realised myself about my teeth and showed me exactly what he was talking about in pictures on a screen. Upon leaving I received a folder with full run down on paper of what I might need/like done and how much it would cost. I felt very reassured when I came out and confident in going to my next dental visit.

Fantastic experience: I could not recommend Paddy and the team at O'Connor Moore highly enough. From the very first phone call, the reception staff were prompt, helpful and professional. I was under the care of Paddy and Caroline while I had a lot of dental work done after a severe accident. I had been to many dentists in Sligo before to get help but as soon as I attended Paddy I knew I was in capable hands. The very first appointment, my mind was put at ease and I felt he knew exactly how best to help. His manner is very relaxed and caring and I never felt anxious going into any of the appointments and was completely relaxed getting all my dental work done. Caroline is a credit to the team! She is a very kind person and is very professional in her manner. There was always a great Nick Cave playlist playing in the background which was an added bonus :) I got veneers done on my front teeth and the result still shocks me! After my accident I never expected to have my teeth looking normal again, I was just hopeful that they would be a little better but the result Paddy got is astonishing! My teeth are completely straight and perfect! As a very smiley person, this has done wonders for my confidence and I never think about my teeth anymore when smiling as I once did! It has been life changing and I can never thank ye enough. The team at O'Connor Moore are remarkable.

I'm more terrible patient, than a crying child, whole life been petrified of dentists, so rather would skip and be in pain than walk into the dentist room.. Fantastic experience: 20 years of trying my best to avoid dentists after a traumatic visit i experienced as a teenager with another practice,i decided I could no longer put of dental work i badly needed. Being extremely nervous I was recommended O'Connor Moore by a friend. After my 1st consultation with Paddy my fear we're reassured that all my work would be painless & hassle free. A week later and being true to his work paddy fitted a crown and two filling without sedation and not an ounce of pain did I feel. I have since returned on numerous occasions for more work and to get my teeth checked and cleaned. Fantastic experience: I recently had treatment with this practice and had such a positive experience. Having avoided the dentist for years due to previous poor experiences, Paddy and team gave me so much confidence and re-assurance. I had sedation for 2 treatments, which was very beneficial. Its difficult to describe, time flies on the chair and I was totally oblivious to all the sensations and noises you normally associate with the dentist. The whole team are brilliant, from the moment you step in the door. The ladies at reception have a lovely welcome for you. Ann has such attention to detail and talks you through everything she does. Paddy is very patient and a great listener, takes into account any of your worries or concerns. Caroline provided such care and attention throughout the whole process including a follow up phone call. I felt like I was in great hands the moment I arrived. Looking forward to my annual check up!

Fantastic experience: I was really pleased with my experience with O Connor Moore dentist. I felt quite anxious about going to the dentist but Dr O Connor and Caroline put me right at ease! I felt listened to and the process was explained to me at every step. My hygienist Ava (apologies if that’s not spelled correctly!) was also really kind. I am really happy with all the work. The ladies on reception are also so welcoming, and set the scene for a smooth and calm experience. I’m relieved to have found a dentist that I’ll be content to return to when needs be!

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Dr O'connor and his team highly enough. I am extremely embarrassed of my teeth and hadn't visited a dentist in years. A problem arose with my wisdom teeth and I needed to seek treatment. Dr O'Connor treated me with such respect and dignity, which is not something I am used to with dentist's. I left feeling relieved. Fantastic experience: I hadn't visited a dentist for 17 years due to a bad experience and it took over the logical part of my brain until I had a complete phobia. I decided it was time that I really needed to address this issue and I have to say strange and all as it may sound I felt at ease as soon as I walked into the building. At my consultation with Paddy O Connor after explaining my fears we decided the best option was to have sedation for my planned treatment. I have had 3 visits and a lot of treatment and I'm so delighted I have taken the bull by the horns and got on with it. I can also highly recommend my hygienist Ewa O Kelly. She was just brilliant at explaining advising and making recommendations. Indeed each staff member I encountered we extremely pleasant courteous and smiling. A wonderful team all round. I have experience of dentists over the years including Harley Street but this practice is streets ahead. Modern equipment, relaxing atmosphere, excellent nurses and receptionist. Fantastic experience: What an amazing place to visit. I do not like going to the dentist and I am very scared. The minute you walk into this building your met with a very warn homely feeling, and greeted by warm friendly people. The layout is not like a dentist. Its more like a luxurious comfy home. Gavin was so amazing and made me feel so relaxed. Nothing seemed a problem and I will 100% be spending more time in this dentists. My fear of dentists has been removed by O Connor Moore Dental

Fantastic experience: I recently attended O'Connor Moore Dental Practice for a CEREC Crown. It was my first time ever hearing of it but knew I was in safe hands under Dr Patrick O Connor (Paddy). The procedure took approx. 1.5 hours but it honestly didn't feel like that length of time. Paddy ensured at all times that I was okay and comfortable. He explained everything about and I even got to see the CEREC crown being made. I'm still amazed by it all and love that I got to keep the majority of my own tooth but have a crown that is robust and resilient but also fits flawlessly in with the rest of my teeth. Its clear to see that patient care is a goal of the practice and the highest standards of dental practice is implemented at all times.

Fantastic experience: I have a huge fear when it comes to my teeth. But at O'Connor Moore Dental, they help reduce that anxiousness. I had a tooth extraction with Patrick and his nurse. I was very nervous, they made me feel calm while my tooth was been extracted. Fantastic experience: After 25 years of being afraid to go to the dentist after some bad experiences as a teenager, I finally decided to go to this dentist and from the moment i explained my situation to the receptionist I found everyone to be extremely helpful and understanding. Fantastic experience: Well, to all you nervous people out there who are scared stiff like me of going to the dentist, rest assured. I've made trips upon trip visiting dentist on the medical card and was never happy with the treatment received afterwards. I am so nervous it isn't funny. I sometimes have to bring someone to hold my hand. What puts me off medical card dentist is that you're rushed and almost immediately after injecting the anesthesia they are ready to drill. My gum is never numb enough and I'm always in pain during drilling. The smell of the dental surgery, the needle in my gum, the sound of that drill scares me terribly. I refused to go to any dentist until I was told about connor moore dental in sligo. No other dentist beats these people. When it comes to first class, they are pros in the business. Being a scared nervous wreck of dentist, upon entering the surgery, the receptionist were kind and welcoming. I was then taken to the waiting room, which by the way feels like my own living room with beautiful relaxing couches, the sound of relaxation music and tea and coffee at your disposal. I thought I was at home. I was so relaxed until Patrick called me then nerves hit me again especially entering the surgery. But after sitting and talking to Patrick and going through xrays, he was able to show me the problem on screen. As he explains, I too can see on screen what needs done. Patrick spends quality time with me and there is no rush whatsoever. By the time I was finished, believe me, the thing called fear just totally disappeared out the door. If any of you out there wants the best, spend your money and go private. Believe me when I say, it's money well spent, no regrets. Fantastic experience: Anyone that needs to find a new dentist should really visit the guys at O'Connor-Moore. They put you totally at ease in a lovely manner. I was dreading the thought of having fillings done recently but after Patrick talked me through it he convinced me it would not hurt at all. Even so i was nervous but had 2 fillings done today without any feeling whatsoever. I even had 2 injections and i honestly barely knew i got them its was so painfree. I also had half of my teeth cleaned while i was still numb. Again it was nothing to be worried about. All the staff are brilliant here. I would highly recommend Patrick as he has the perfect manner to put nervous patients at ease. I am going back in a few weeks time to complete the fillings and cleaning without any fears this time. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Paddy and his assistant, Caroline. Also Anna Rose the hygienist. I had extensive work done over the past few months - 2 root canal fillings and 6 Cerec crowns. As an extremely nervous patient (which on reflection was just wasted energy), I was always put at ease by Paddy. He explained all if I wanted to know anything when being treated. I also recommend wearing the headphones. Just let Caroline know what is your favourite music/radio station - you might even get to be so chilled that you feel like falling asleep and that's without sedation. My visit was to fit two new porcelain crowns in replacement for ones that had been badly re-fitted. I would highly recommend Gavin. He took great care to walk me through each step, and discuss the best approach both for my dental care, and for my pocket. I am very happy to have found them. Fantastic experience: On a recent visit home from London, Dr. O'Connor and his team helped me with a last minute emergency appointment to review a problematic wisdom tooth. I would highly recommend this surgery, a space that instills an aura of calm, care and comfort from the moment you walk through the door. The team were professional, warm and welcoming. Visiting Ann the hygienist a couple of times a year helps keeps my dental health in check and is always a pleasant experience. The reception team are very efficient and look after everything you need and more. Stephen is my dentist and I have found himself and Ewa to be a great team and feel in very safe hands when they are on the job. Steve's attention to detail is impeccable, quality of work is excellent and he really cares about doing the best he can for you. They also have state of the art equipment and technology available that really helps explain what is happening which I find very helpful and relaxing. Traditionally I would have been a nervous patient but now anymore. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Hadnt been to the dentist in years due to unplesent and painful cleaning that was carried out at an other dentist hygienist. Gavin carried out examaination of my teeth and then did the cleaning and polishing. Gavin took his time at made the whole experiance a lot more pleasent with no pain. I was very happy with the cleaning and overall service and will have no hesitation in going back or giving my recommendation. Thanks again to you and your assistant.

Fantastic experience: Hi i am writing this review to help people like myself who are nervous of going to the dentist.I always kept putting it off and ending up with patch work dentistry on my teeth ,then a friend recommended O'Connor Moore Dental Practice so i thought its now or never from my very first appointment i never looked back, Patrick put me at ease straight away he explained everything and gave me a plan on what was going to happen that was so helpful .I have had a lot of work done even a root canal and yes that word root canal scared me too but honestly it was a breeze i felt nothing i was able to listen to my favourite music and before i knew it Patrick was finished it was more like a spa treatment i was so relaxed.Now i have my smile back and most of all no pain thank u Patrick my only regret is not knowing you ,Caroline and all the team years ago .

Fantastic experience: I've always been a bit wary about going to the dentist, but all of the dentists at O'Connor Moore are great for putting you at ease. Everything is explained fully and they have a very calming manner, which is perfect if you're anxious. I recently got my teeth whitened - something I've wanted to do for years, but have put off due to my incredibly sensitive teeth. The whole experience was fantastic - I didn't experience any discomfort or increased sensitivity at all, and Gavin explained everything very clearly. I was really happy with the whole treatment.

Fantastic experience: I have heard about the IV Sedation for nervous patients and did some research online to find out that O'connor Moore dental practice in Sligo offer this sedation. I haven't being at the dentist in years and always get toothaches and infections. My first visit to O'connor Moore was a few weeks ago. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Patrick O'connor is a gentleman very outgoing and very comforting and as is his assistant Caroline. We talked through my plan and what was needed all to which he was asking if that is OK with me and the best possible ways. I had an appointment booked in for today with the IV Sedation because I am so nervous and I had to get some extractions as well as fillings. To be honest it works great, I don't remember much of it and did not feel a thing which is great. I remember waking up and everything was done. I would definitely recommend O'connor more and IV Sedation for nervous patients. I am looking forward to my next visit already and I am not afraid or nervous anymore. Top class dental pratice, definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: I visited O'Connor Moore Dental practice after chipping my front tooth. I rang on Monday morning and they were more than helpful slotting me in just two hours later as I was extremely anxious to get it fixed. When I arrived it was a very short wait until Dr Patrick O'Connor assessed and reassured me that it was easily fixed and gave me all my options. It was fixed within 20 minutes! Even better looking than before! I was extremely happy with the customer service and reassurance given. I went back to get a teeth cleaning and 2 white fillings which the customer service was equally excellent. It has now been 4 months since I got my tooth fixed and it's completely unnoticeable! Thanks to all the team I'll definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: I have had many a sleepless night prior to a dentist in the past and usually put a visit off till I could tolerate no more toothache. I was recommended O` Connor Moore Dental Practice by a friend. O` Connor Moore were and have been extremely helpful and accommodating for fitting my first and every visit since then around my hectic schedule. I was put completely at ease by Dr. Patrick O` Connor and Caroline by their professional and friendly manner at all times. I have had to have two crowns as well as other dental work done. I was completely comfortable at all times during the treatments as Patrick was gentle but efficient in his work. I received a phone call two days after the treatment to follow up and check if I had any concerns, which I had none. I have never had such caring attention from any other dental practices that I had previously visited prior to O` Connor Moore as what they had provided. I would highly recommend Dr. O` Connor to anyone and will continue my future dental treatment with him.

Fantastic experience: After nearly 10 years without dentistry I was in need of quite a bit of work. Patrick and the staff at O'Connor Moore were very re-assuring that my 9 fillings, although fairly serious, would go smoothly and be painless. They were patient with my questions about the procedure and Patrick talked me through all aspects of of what needed to be done. He was very thorough and generous with his time. The staff here are friendly and professional and really make you feel welcome the moment you walk in the door. The building is lovely and appointments are punctual. As far as the procedure's went, I was surprised that there was no pain & absolutely minimal discomfort. The fillings were done quickly but with great care. They are using state of the art technology here as far as I can tell. You can definitely tell that these are highly skilled and caring professionals who work well as a team. I would recommend O'Connor Moore Dental Practice and encourage anyone who's put off going to the dentist for too long to go in for a chat with them. Fantastic experience: I made an appointment with O'Connor Moore Dental Practice after reading reviews on Google and boards.ie and the late appointments meant I did not have to miss work. I had not been to the dentist since I had a root canal 2 and a half years ago and was very apprehensive as I was put in so much pain by my former dentist (2 weeks of agony over Christmas not being able to eat solid food or hot or cold). I have to say from the minute I walked in the door I was very comfortable. It is not like walking into a dentist more like a home. The waiting area has big comfortable couches, there is a coffee machine and tea that you can help yourself to as well as wifi. I had the initial check-up with Dr. O'Connor and was kept informed throughout the entire session where there was plenty of pictures taken and shown to me on the big screen right in front of me. Dr. O'Connor went through each tooth on the big screen and explained exactly what was going on with it any issues and his feeling as to if action needs to be taken or not and when it would need to be done. I got a full list of treatment which included two 45min sessions with the hygienist, A crown and 3 fillings. I went away thought about it and made the appointments for the hygienist. The hygienist Elaine was very good. She explained what was going on in my mouth in great detail and showed me how to brush and floss properly which I was never shown before. I then made the appointment to get the crown and 3 fillings all in the 1 sitting. I did have the option to split it up so I would not have to pay all in one go but I just wanted to get it all over and done with. This was a 2 hour session which required a deposit to hold the appointment but again due to the late opening hours I did not have to miss work. I was worried when I went in as to how sore it was going to be. Dr. O'Connor started with the injections to numb my mouth he used gel to numb where he was going to inject and the vibraject so I didn't really feel the injections. He put a weird thing in my mouth which I could bite on so I did not have to keep my mouth open which I thought was great. He started working and told me not to put up with anything at all, if I wasn't happy let him know. They even had music playing with the video of the song on the big screen for me to watch. I had no pain through the whole session apart from one tooth which would not go numb but it was more discomfort than pain but as soon as I said it he stopped. He took pictures of my tooth for the crown and designed it in front of me explaining what he was doing. I was offered coffee, water or tea while I was watching. I was then shown by the nurse Caroline my tooth being made out of a block of this CEREC material, it was very interesting. Back up to the chair, more coffee and a chat with Caroline while she polished my new tooth then Dr. O'Connor put in the crown and we were done. He advised my to take Nurofen within the hour just in case it might get a bit sore. Down stairs then to pay the bill which was the most painful bit hahaha. Went home could not eat anything for a bit obviously as my face was still numb. No pain at all that evening and slept like a baby that night. I would highly recommend this dentist to everyone, I am extremely pleased with the work I have had done.

One day I decided to go for a consultation with Oconnor/Moore (Stephen) as I realised they provided 6 months smiles something that suited my time frame as I didn't want to have braces on for a 2 year period and I am delighted I did. Fantastic experience: I had been putting off going to the dentist for years and eventually decided I needed to go before the toothaches started. Due to work commitments I needed a practice to be flexible and having looked up a few I found O'Connor Moore Dental who worked Saturdays and late Monday evenings. I initially booked the New Patient Consultation with Patrick and found them to be very professional. I was given all the information both cosmetic and general work and at no time felt pressured into getting the treatment done. I had to get 7 fillings and started a plan with the hygienist Ann everything went very smoothly. I felt I was been treated at the highest standard both from the staff and with the equipment. While it was a costly experience in one go the practice was very obliging and I would highly recommend them in the future and maybe if I hadn't left it as long I wouldn't have needed as much treatment, lesson learned!!!

Fantastic experience: If Carlesberg made dentists it would be O Connor Moore Dental Practice. I had to get two teeth out and was petrified with the thought of it. I decided to go for the Twilight Sedation. When the day came for my extractions nervous is not a strong enough word to describe how I felt. I was sitting in the surgery for what felt like 30 seconds until the Twilight Sedation kicked in. I have no recollection whatsoever of the procedure taking place after that. Next thing I Know I was woke up and its all over. I can only describe Dr Patrick O Connor as a dental wizard. I had no sorness afterwards and didnt need to take any painkillers. All the staff are very nice and friendly and I will be getting some more work done very shortly. For anybody that is a bad patient like me I cant praise these guys enough. Best Wishes Francis Rogers

Fantastic experience: I’m writing this review on behalf of my husband. We went to the O’Connor Moore Dental Practice because they are one of few practices that offer Twilight sedation to nervous patients. My husband has had many bad experiences with various dentists in the past and as a result he has not attended a dentist for the past 5 years despite needing treatment. My husband has recently been suffering with terrible toothache and was on painkillers so I suggested he tried this practice. When we arrived at the practice, Dr. Patrick O’Connor took the time to listen to what had happened in the past that had resulted in my husband avoiding treatment and he seemed greatly disappointed that my husband had had to endure such poor practices in the past. Dr O’Connor took great care in examining my husband and told him what treatment needed doing. He felt he was able to carry out the treatment pain free on my husband without the twilight procedure, but made it clear to my husband he would be the one in control at all times and could opt in to twilight at any time. My husband agreed to this and the procedure was completed without pain. Dr O’Connor needs to do more work on my husband over the coming weeks but has made the world of difference to my husband because he now feels he has found a dentist that genuinely understands and can work with nervous patients. If you are a nervous patient, please, please go and get treatment with this practice. I could not recommend Dr. O’Connor more highly. The staff are lovely and welcoming and the surroundings are clean, comfortable and modern. The equipment was top notch, unlike anything I have ever seen in a dentists before.
