Fantastic experience: 9 July 2025: I had yet another incredible and wonderful experience at the Gate Dental Clinic, when on this occasion I attended for an appointment with The Dental Hygienist for a deep clean before undergoing treatment for Multiple Myeloma, blood cancer. In Blaithín O' Shea (Hygienist) and her dental nurse Mary Finn, I met two angels from heaven, and I told them so. Both could not have been more reassuring, kind, compassionate or light-hearted whilst also being highly professional at their job. As I have extremely sensitive gums and teeth, even my dreams the night before were anxiety ridden but I needn't have worried, I didn't feel a thing. I was given a mouthwash that contained a numbing agent and to make double sure I experienced no distress whatsoever, Blaithín also applied Bonjela to my gums before she began the deep clean. I left their room as if walking on air, feeling uplifted and absolutely thrilled with all I had experienced while under their care. I would highly recommend these two ladies for an award any time. They are truly exceptional in what they do and their personalities are a joy to encounter. Thank you both. I am eternally grateful, Breda O' Toole

However i have choosen to stay for these reasons.My original dentist Dr Lauren mc hugh has moved here and i can see why !!!!!From the moment you walk in the door the atmosphere of pure kindness and calmness is palpable. Dr Lauren is so professional and goes above and beyond to reassure you .She is always in good form and immediately makes you relaxed.Her treatment is painless and results excellent. The amazing Hygienist Bláithinn is beyond kind.She explains everything and her approach is calming and reassuring. Fantastic experience: I’m visiting Galway from the States and recently experienced a failure of one of my veneers. It came off fairly complete, and fortunately i didn’t swallow it! Unfortunately, it was from a tooth right at the lower front and I was anxious to get it repaired in some way. My friend called her dentist and they recommended Gate Dental Clinic. I was so grateful that they agreed to see me on such short notice. I went to their offices the following day; very nice, very professional, very modern and up to date clinic with some very impressive equipment. I was seen by the assistant, Barbara and the dentist, Dr. Butros Faiud. What a great team! They were so pleasant and accommodating and immediately put me at my ease. The veneer was examined and cleanly adhered back onto my tooth. I am very pleased with the results. The fix is temporary as some of the veneer was chipped and will have to be completely replaced at home, but my smile is back and I couldn’t be happier! Since I come to Ireland annually, I’m going to make Gate Dental my dental practice abroad. I feel very comfortable under their care. Highly recommend

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Gate Dental for years and as someone who once was a particularly nervous patient I cannot recommend them enough. Dental Hygienist Blaithin is absolutely brilliant and you can expect the same excellent and friendly care from Brian, Mary, Trish, Jeannis, Kathriona, Claire and all the team.

Fantastic experience: I found this clinic by accident on Google map and was satisfied. Very nice staff and most importantly there is a Russian-speaking doctor. Dr. Butros, thank you very much for the treatment and help with the translation. My problem was solved, no unnecessary procedures were prescribed. Prices are reasonable

Fantastic experience: I first attended Gate Clinic with an abscess in late September '24. I consider myself to be very fortunate to have been in the professional hands of Dr Burrows Faiud and his colleagues. I followed on with the hygienist, Blaithín and her assistant Barbara who are also great at their job - consulting with the dental surgeon and his support team whenever any complications arose. I really felt in great hands. Just one word for the ladies at reception:- ' great '.

Fantastic experience: Excellent dental practice. I’ve always received brilliant care from the entire staff. I’ve had fillings, inlays and wisdom tooth removal carried out by Brian and cleanings with Blaithin. I’d highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I had surgery with Dr Pedro Alsina on the 15th of February and he was amazing. I spent two and a half hours on the chair and felt no pain at any stage. Dr Pedro explained the procedure in detail as he went along and gave me plenty of breaks. He rang the next day to see how I was and I had his mobile number if I got into difficulties. In my opinion Dr Pedro is efficient, professional and above all an excellent oral surgeon . I would highly recommend him. The team on reception led by Claire who reassured me on the phone prior to my surgery are kind friendly and knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: The dental hygienist Blaithin and her assistant Barbara are a pleasure to attend. Blaithin is excellent and professional in her specialty. She has a very calm reassuring demeanor which instantly helps nervous patients like me relax !!! Negative experience: Dreadful service I was treated so badly. Was told I was having one dentist he passed me on to someone else to fill my front teeth that filling fell out after 2 weeks. I was supposed to have following up treatment but they never called me. The dental hygienist and her assistant treated me so badly. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

I moved 40mins from Galway city and changed dentists but came back to get work done. Accommodating appointments the same week unlike waiting 1.5months for next available appointment elsewhere!

Both the Dentist and the Hygienist are top notch and explain what they are doing and why clearly so you feel comfortable and confident in their care, The dental assistants and the reception team are friendly, happy, polite and effective. I recently visited Gate Clinic, and I must say Ela’s professionalism and friendliness made a significant difference in my experience. Fantastic experience: First of all a massive shoutout to Claire working at reception, who got me an appointment within minutes to see Dr Brian, about a week after having my root canal treatment. Feels absolutely amazing being able to rely on this team. Dr Brian, who did my root canal treatment, made me feel completely at ease and talked me through everything we were doing. Fantastic experience: We all know it's not always easy for kids to attend the dentist, but Dr. Adela Dragoi and her assistant made me and my son in particular feel quite at ease. They went through tremendous lengths to detail what would occur. For even more clarity, X-rays and pictures that were taken during the appointment were displayed on a large screen that could be seen from the dentist's chair. We had serious concerns about how my son's teeth were developing. Dr Adela Dragoi showed us cases of patients who had experienced similar orthodentic issues, and this significantly boosted our faith in her ability to help him achieve a healthy smile after treatment. I cannot recommend this dentist enough.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at the Gate Dental Clinic today. I chose them based on a personal recommendation. Booking an appointment for both a long overdue check-up and clean was easy, and the person I spoke with on the phone was incredibly helpful and thoughtful (right down to making sure I didn't have too early an appointment as I was travelling from some distance). I was called this morning before my appointment to say that there was a slight delay of 15 minutes, meaning that I wasn't sitting waiting for too long once I arrived. Parking was easy (always an issue when you are travelling to a new place), as there is a large multi-story and reasonably-priced car park a short walk away. Upon arrival I was treated very kindly by the staff at reception and made to feel at ease. I'm not nervous when at the dentist, but there's always an element of uncertainty when going to somewhere new. I was seen for my check up by Dr Brian Delgado, who was very approachable, friendly, empathetic and professional. He explained everything very clearly and was thorough and patient. My hygiene appointment was with Blaithin, who was also incredibly thorough and kind. She was meticulous, in both her cleaning and her advice. I came away from my appointment feeling like a new person! I would recommend Gate Dental Clinic without reservation. Thanks so much to all. :)

Fantastic experience: Wonderful Service provided by The Team in the Gate Dental Clinic last week. We had an appointment with Dr. Adela for check-ups and had an extremely positive 1st time experience for my young son, Dr Adela along with her kind Dental Nurse Mrudula were so caring and friendly, they took their time explaining very thing to both my son and myself. We also saw the Hygienist Blaithin for a scale and polish , again my son never had his teeth cleaned professionally before , Blaithin and her wonderful Nurse Patricia explained each step to him and he was delighted with the procedure. I came in with a horizontally impacted tooth which had given me excruciating pain for quite some time, Claire the receptionist was absolutely brilliant, very caring, patient and professional and couldn't do enough to accommodate the immediate care needed. Fantastic experience: I received excellent Dental treatment from Dr Brian Delgado in The Gate Clinic today, I came in with a chipped lower front tooth and left with a smile on my face and some excellent work completed by Dr Brian and his wonderful nurse Stephanie, I have to say my experience was very pleasant and pain free. I also attend Blaithin for my hygiene she is extremely gently but gets the job done. The staff in the Gate are some of the nicest and friendliest , I could not recommend The Gate Clinic enough.

Fantastic experience: Very happy to submit a positive review of the great dental care and attention I received at the Gate Dental Clinic, Galway, after I recently broke a tooth (upper left molar). My urgent requirement for dental attention was facilitated by the very helpful Claire, at Front Desk, who arranged my dental appointment, welcomed me at Reception and confirmed all was good with my appointment. The Dental Surgeon, Dr. Brian and Dental Nurse, Patricia, were both very helpful and informative while assessing my damaged tooth. It was explained to me the preferred method of tooth restoration (inlay enamic) and reason why (added strength, long-lasting and the ability to rebuild the tooth shape). The capability to create the customised inlay in-house, while the patient is present, and then fit the inlay to suit, is a tremendous attribute of Gate Dental and greatly enhances early treatment. Total Customer Care was exhibited by all the Staff, from Claire at the Front Desk, to Dr. Brian and Dental Nurse, Patricia, during the excellent dental treatment afforded to me. A Five Star performance by the Gate Dental Clinic.

Fantastic experience: We have been patients of the Gate Clinic and Blaithin for many years. She is meticulous in her work and really deserves her award as Best Hygienist in Ireland! She is extremely careful and gentle and explains everything really well. The dentists and staff are all wonderful also and are so good and efficient at their work.

Positive experience: My husband Joe broke a tooth & Dr Brian Delgado saw him . Joe is very nervous but was soon put at ease by Dr Brian . It turned out he had to have an extraction which was organised to suit his work schedule. He is very happy with Dr Delgado and couldnt believe that he had an extraction without any problems. He has to have other work done but he was given a treatment plan with all costs included. Couldnt reccomend Dr Brian enough.

She is so lovely and excellent at her job. She did a great job on my teeth. Polite receptionists and caring and professional Dentists. What more could you want. Negative experience: SCAMMERS READ!! If I could give them 0 stars I would. I got my braces done at Smiles and got transferred to Gate Clinic in the process of my treatment. The treatment was fully payed for at Smiles and yet everytime I got off the chair at Gate Clinic there were hidden costs, once they charged me over 400euro for a surgery without informing me of the costs first! When I changed the specialist they refused to pay me back for the retainers which I never received! My new specialist also complained about my bracket placement calling it 'a lousy job' which means that not only did they get free 2000euro off of me they also provided me with a very poor quality service. I would not recommend having to deal with them even to my worst enemy.

Fantastic experience: I've been to Brian a number of times over the last few months, and have also brought my 4 year old daughter to him. From start to finish everything was extremely professional and clear, and more importantly very effective at all times. I have also visited the hygienist in the same premesis. I highly recommend Brian and his team.

Fantastic experience: Gate Clinic…. The best in the West, enough said!! If you’re looking for a dental practice in County Galway then this is the only place! I’ve been here a few times now and every visit is faultless. I was always a little nervous if I had to visit a dentist however with Gate Clinic that’s no longer the case. Dr Paul Moore is excellent and his motto “do it once, do it well” is 100% accurate. I had a bit of work to get done and he’s come up with a plan of action and a time-frame that works for me. I can’t recommend this practice highly enough. Blaithin the hygienist is also great along with the all the Nurses and receptionists. Great job Gate Clinic, keep up the amazing work and thank you.

Negative experience: I have called to seek some information on the available treatments and I must say the receptionist who has handled the call was not very helpful or willing to provide any information. Such poor support. I will not be seeking any treatments based on my phone experience.

From the moment I contacted the receptionist, Jean, I felt relief in knowing they would treat me immediately. This NYC girl will forever appreciate this office for being so helpful.

Fantastic experience: Booked an appointment via email - turned up for the appointment but they had never entered it into their system. So I was turned away. Knowing how important it is to book an appointment, and how far in advance one needs to do it with a dentist, it was very very disappointing. ++EDIT++ I had originally given a one star review, but Gate Dental set up a new appointment at a time that was convenient to me, and did not charge me for the appointment at all. Very happy with this reparation and how apologetic they were for they mistake they made.
