Fantastic experience: I needed an appointment for a believed ‘cracked tooth’ & I was in a bit of pain. I attended the surgery & the reception staff were efficient & kind & got me an appointment with Henry the next day. Henry was fantastic with me. He went through options & we decided that an extraction was needed. Natalie the nurse was fantastic too. Very professional but most importantly, very kind. Henry did a brilliant job of reassuring me every step of the way, realising my struggle with some anxiety. The procedure was quick & painless. I have had some pain since but that is to be expected. I am very happy again with the excellent service I received & cannot recommend this surgery enough. Thank you for your kindness & understanding. It costs nothing but means everything.

Negative experience: Very disappointed that these people are too busy that they cannot answer the telephone and cannot answer their emails. Arrived at 8am for my appointment only to be told that the appointment had been moved to September! I was not notified, so I have cancelled that one too!! Too many staff and no on-site parking as the parking spaces they do have are for staff!! It says it all really. One disabled space only!

Fantastic experience: After having endured years of top and bottom set injections for routine cleaning (due to sensitivity).I met Dr Sarah Dempsey at Dental care Ireland. She has brought me out of the dark ages and to a place where I can now have regular cleaning without injections. I never imagined I could be able to get a regular cleanings like everyone else. Lads, I was the patient who was literally jumping out of the chair. She is amazing and has persisted, and now I’m capable of regular cleaning. This is a testament to her professionalism and dedication. Dr Terese Fitzgerald is also the most amazing dentist. Always prepared to fit you in and understands the importance of listening to a nervous patient. She explains everything in great detail so I don’t stress or worry. The dental nurses and receptionists are all so professional. I’m very happy to leave a 5 start review for a 5 star team. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant dentist and team at Dental Care, Ireland. From start to finish staff were all very friendly, supportive and professional. Treatment was gentle and I felt very confident in dentist and dental nurse throughout. As a mum of a newborn the appointment could have been very stressful but it was the opposite, thank you, I’ll always remember your kindness.

Fantastic experience: I have a unreasonable fear of going to the dentist. Not the normal fear but full blown panic, tears, fainting and all. Hearing about Dental Care Ireland in Castlebar, I finally managed to gather the courage to go. My teeth were in a very bad condition. Had four broken ones as well as numerous lost fillings from childhood. Even though I tried very hard to control my panic, the minute I walked into the room, saw the chair, I burst into tears. I'm 63 and felt absolutely stupid. The Dentist David Hendrix and his assistant were so kind and understanding. They gave me the time to relax, listened to my silly explanation and made me feel in control of my situation. When I felt the panic set in, I just had to raise my hand and he stopped what he was doing to allow me to relax again. I left on that first day, proud of myself and very grateful for being understood and treated with respect. I've been back since, with my next appointment due soon. Instead of anxiety and panic, I feel safe and no longer like a silly old woman. In my books, they are brilliant and I cannot thank them enough for helping me overcome my fear by understanding my level of fear, giving me the control to work through it and showing me respect through it all.
