Fantastic experience: I just wanted to take a moment to share some feedback following my recent visit. I had a dental hygiene appointment with Rozanne last week , and I have to say—it was absolutely amazing! As it was my very first cleaning, I was quite nervous going in, but from the moment I arrived, the team made me feel completely at ease. The girls at reception were so friendly and welcoming, and the reception area itself was bright, calm, and relaxing and beautiful —it really helped settle my nerves. Rozanne was incredible throughout the appointment. She made me feel very comfortable, took the time to explain everything, and was so gentle and reassuring. The cleaning itself went so smoothly, and I left feeling really positive about the whole experience. I honestly can’t wait to come back for my next appointment. Fantastic experience: If the details really matter to you, you’ve found the right place. They’ve thought of everything! After stumbling upon a radio feature with Dr. Niall Neeson one day, I sent a message and was invited to book in for a consultation. I had previously researched dental practices who mentioned nervous patients on their websites, with claims of “…x especially likes treating nervous patients to reduce fear …” or “patients are completely relaxed during treatment” etc. but on going to them, no, it turned out to be the standard ordeal and I couldn’t stop my knees from shaking in the chair! I’m wiser now and know that during your research, you should be asking "HOW exactly do you help nervous patients?" Boyne Dental is a very different, superior experience. I studied their website in advance, where there's lots of information to find out about the kind of place it is and testimonials are from real patients. I was happy to see that they use advanced technologies to offer new options like 3D digital impressions and The Wand. At Boyne Dental, you are acknowledged as soon as you walk in by the friendly care team. The clinic reception area is modern, airy and serene. They don’t just say “patient-centred approach", but actually show it by really listening to and focusing on the person. Dr. Neeson is an exceptional communicator and understands every aspect of dental anxiety. He explains so many options to offer you a path to better oral health. On creating my personalised plan, we made decisions together, with extra time and patience given at every appointment. Added to this, he is a highly skilled dentist and does first-class work. All my treatment so far has gone smoothly and has been very relaxed. The experience feels different to what you expect to be a normal dental visit; it’s a truly comfortable and supportive environment. The friendly, professional attitude and meticulous attention to detail quickly won me over and I will be making effortless 6-month visits now. I would encourage anyone who wants to get back on track or 'level up' their dental health to contact this outstanding practice. Just book the appointment and get in the door - leave the rest to them :-)

Fantastic experience: I had all my wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Ilya. I appreciate his professionalism and attentive care. I was very nervous beforehand, but the procedure was much calmer and quicker than I expected. He was always available, answering all my questions clearly and patiently. A very precise and friendly practitioner. I recommend him and will return if needed!

Fantastic experience: I had such a good experience once again with Niall and would highly recommend for any anxious patients. All treatment details including cost were fully explained in advance and the aftercare was also excellent.

Negative experience: I asked for the bleach teeth whitening kit and was advised to wear it in for minimum two hours after using all syringes my teeth did not change colour much at all. I rang and asked and was advised on the phone to wear them for at least 6-8 hours (overnight) with the percentage I had. Very very dissatisfied when you can buy the same kit online for a third of the price.

Fantastic experience: I attended Dr Neeson for IV sedation after failed attempts elsewhere to fix a cracked tooth, mostly due to my nerves. He spends time with you at initial consultation to discuss issues and put a plan in place. I was very comfortable and calm during the procedure and recovered quickly after sedation. I would highly recommend this dental practice/IV sedation for anyone with anxiety issues. By the way, it doesn’t smell like the dentist for anyone who is triggered by smells

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Niall Neeson , I was a nervous wreck coming in for my fillings. He just knew exactly how to calm me down. I thought I would just bail as soon as I got through the door I was so anxious but the reception staff were so lovely and then Niall greeted me and brought me up to his room and talked me through the whole process. I opted for IV sedation as it was the best option for me and I managed to complete my first treatment. I am so proud of myself and so grateful for Niall and his dental hygienist Grace who were just magic. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I brought my 4 year old daughter who got a bang to her front teeth and needed to have them extracted to see Orla Clarke in Boyne Dental. Fantastic experience: Our 16 year son needed 2 fillings so he could progress his orthodontic treatment to have braces fitted. He has a terrible fear of needles, so much so that when we took him to our regular dentist to get the fillings, the procedure had to be abandoned as our son was so upset. He was hyperventilating and had a Carpopedal spasm which resulted in contraction of his fingers and wrists. We were told we would need specialist treatment. We contacted Boyne Dental and got a consultation with Niall Neeson. Niall said he was confident that he could do the fillings. He explained in a calm and sympathetic way how he would do it in 3 phases. Nitrous oxide ( happy gas ), cold gel and the wand. At the end, our son was happy to come back to try have the fillings done. The day we went back to get the fillings done our son began to get upset as soon as he sat in the chair. Niall calmy explained to him that he would go at our sons pace and take things slowly step by step and that if at any stage he wasn`t happy they would stop. Niall took his time and the happy gas took effect and calmed our son down. He kept asking our son if he was ok. Before we knew it, he administered the wand and our son wasn`t even aware it had been done. He then proceeded with the fillings and all was ok. Niall was fantastic, he`s very sympathetic to peoples fears. He`s patient, taking time to explain everything. We were very impressed the way he spoke directly to our son, not just us, his parents. Our son said he would not be afraid to go back, which was brilliant to hear. Boyne Dental turned out to be a very simple solution to what was to us, a major problem. Can`t thank them enough. Fantastic experience: Review It’s been 2 1/2 years since I first came to see Niall at Boyne Dental. I remember how I felt back then; frightened, anxious and nauseated. I could barely stand or even speak coherently.. Everyday I used to wake up under a cloud of dread and worry, just knowing I needed to got to the dentist but not having the courage to do so. Yesterday I was in for a check up and the difference to when I first started is incredible. I am so grateful to Niall and the team for treating me with kindness and compassion, and for helping me achieve dental health. Fantastic experience: As someone with a history of bad experiences with dentist, I have avoided the dentist for 24 years! When I heard about ‘The Calm Dentist’ I looked Niall up. I initially followed his instagram and found him to be so positive, gentle and reassuring. And most importantly there was NO JUDGEMENT. I followed the account. He sent a message to say it’s baby steps and that if I’d any questions on his posts to let him know. It did take me a few years to pluck up the courage from there. And I am so happy I did. Niall and his team are fantastic. You could not be in safer, gentler hands. I’ve just finished my second treatment and I went in there with no nerves. Sedation is a game changer. There are plenty of options. It’s almost like a trip for relaxation than a dental procedure. He’s so knowledgeable and insightful. Now I’m proud of my mouth. And I’ll certainly keep on top of it with help from Boyne Dental. ‘10/10 would recommend to a friend’.

Fantastic experience: I've been attending boyne dental a while now. The practice itself and all the staff are so friendly and helpful. I've had root canal treatment with Dr Maria Varela. When people hear root canal it puts them off but all I can say is Maria is amazing and you couldn't be in better hands. Genuinely so nice and helpful in every way. The entire process i was made as comfortable as possible with zero pain. I can only highly recommend.

As a nervous patient (but not so with these guys), I am always put at ease by the combined friendliness and professionalism of Aisling, Niall and all the team. Negative experience: My son seen the hygienist today and it only took 15 minutes, I would have expected a minimum 30 minutes since previous appointments had to be cancelled and it has been 2 yrs since he last seen the hygienist, I did say ‘that was very quick’ to which there was no reply my hygienist (not boyne dental) always takes 30 mins and also does a tongue and throat examination

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Boyne Dental and in particular Dr. Orla Clarke in Navan. I had put off going to the dentist for a number of years and was apprehensive going in to a new practice for an initial consultation. On my first visit, I was immediately put at ease and a treatment plan was drawn up. The plan was informative and fully transparent (no hidden costs or treatments). I knew exactly what to expect with each visit and the treatments were carried out in order of priority. The plan was brilliant - it allowed me to focus on one visit at a time and also allowed me to budget accordingly. I'm almost at the end of my treatment plan now - I'll be sure to book regular appointments due to my experience so far. In fact, all members of my family now attend Boyne Dental for their dental checkups. If you're anxious about going to the dentist, or simply just need a new dental practice to attend, I highly recommend Boyne Dental.

I'm extremely nervous when it comes to the dentist but with Niall, although I'm still nervous, I completely trust him and his ability to empathise so much that the fear is managed. If you are a nervous patient you simply will not find a better solution to manage your fear than what you will find in Niall as a nervous patient specialist.

Fantastic experience: My daughter was extremely nervous of the dentist and needed a tooth extraction and some filiings. Niall but her and me at ease from the first visit. Through sedation and a lot of patience and understanding from Niall and the rest of his team my daughter now has a healthy set of teeth. From the first visit a plan was put in place with a breakdown of the cost so there were no hidden costs.I would highly recommend Niall for anyone who is nervous to visit a dentists. Fantastic experience: If you’ve been avoiding the dentist for longer than you care to admit be it due to phobia, shame or fear of judgement then Dr. Niall Neeson and Boyne Dental is the place for you. From the moment you step foot in the door it feels different, not like a dental practice or a medical setting, actually even before you step foot in the door you are made to feel at ease. Fantastic experience: My 6 year old, who's a very nervous patient, was seen by Dr Orla Clarke for an emergency extraction of an infected tooth. Dr Clarke is very good with young patients and she was able to perform the extraction under local anesthesia without it being a traumatizing experience for my child. My child recovered very quickly from the procedure. We also appreciated that Dr Clarke was able to accommodate us at a very short notice. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I am a patient in the dunshaughlin clinic but was sent to navan for a tooth extraction and I have to say I was so nervous going in but I was in safe hands with sinead daly she is an absolute gem . She got that stubborn tooth out I did end up with a very sore dry socket that she also fixed for me so quickly and professionally . I was in touch alot through phone and email because of the dry socket and each time Jessica and Jennifer where so so kind and so very helpful . I cannot recommend boyne dental navan enough such an amazing team .

Fantastic experience: I was accommodated with an urgent appointment in early July. Required implants. Was given a plan and quote for work needed. From the outset Dr Sinead Daly was brilliant. Treatment was spaced out over three months. Appointments were always on time. I am very happy with the end result. I have no hesitation recommending Boyne Dental Navan.

I also had a major fear surrounding the dentist allowing pain to run riot in my mouth rather than seek treatment due to an awful experience when younger. Dr Niall Neeson changed all that he works with people like me and his manner and approach had me at ease nearly from day one, he understood that it was an ordeal just to get in the door in the beginning. Fantastic experience: I contacted boyne dental for an emergency appointment the day before I was travelling abroad for holidays as my usual dentist had no availability. From the moment they answered the phone they were excellent, Paddy (I think) took the call. Very comforting and professional. Then once I arrived at reception the girl was very friendly and had time for any of the customers that needed it. The dentist I had was Sarah. She was excellent and did what needed to be done in a quick and gentle manner. Then a couple of days later, they phoned me while I was abroad to make sure all was ok. A very professional and friendly practice. I would highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Boyne Dental for some time now. The staff and doctors always demonstrated high level of professionalism. Especially I would like to thank Dr.Orla Clarke, a great specialist in her field.

Negative experience: A very happy experience. While out of the country in a remote place I had the misfortune of a large part of a back tooth breaking off. On return, I was given appointment with David the day after I contacted Boyne Dental who fixed me up. Definitely a speedy and successful outcome.

Fantastic experience: This place has been a huge improvement over my last dentist.. They've found and fixed so many issues that were missed. I am with Dr. Orla Clarke and she has been amazing so far, really friendly and patient, always doing her best to make it an easier experience for me. The staff are all really nice and friendly, wait times are minimal, they work late evenings as well as Saturdays so you can always find a time that suites you. Definitely recommend++.

Fantastic experience: I have had a terrible fear of dentists since early childhood and as a result had neglected my dental hygiene, I finally summoned up the courage and made an appointment with Dr Niall Neeson AKA The Calming Dentist. And my only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner!! Niall totally understood my fears and anxieties and and was genuinely able to relieve my worries almost from the first visit. The clinic itself is beautiful, clean and modern and the front of house staff are all so friendly and professional. I would highly recommend Boyne Dental especially to anyone who have a fear of dentists. Take the step and make the appointment. You will not regret it.

Fantastic experience: Dr.Orla Clarke is an absolutely amazing dentist Highly recommend her and any of the team at Boyne dental. Our 3 year old had a fall and had to get her two front teeth extracted,as parents we were devastated that she had to go through this. Orla calmly talked us through all of our options. We decided to go local anaesthetic. Our little girl did not cry or even flinch during the process and I believe it was because orla had created such a safe and calm environment for her.

Fantastic experience: I have Dr Rachel Birt as my dentist for almost a year by now. She did 2 fillings for my teeth last year with a lot of cares and patience. Recently, she helped me to wear a crown made from other dentist without charging me. Because my tooth has been moving, the old crown unfortunately doesn’t work anymore. I really wanted to get this fixed while I could still claim from my insurance. The coordinator and receptionist came back to me quickly with the earliest slots, I really appreciated that. During the appointments. Rachel scanned my teeth, prepared the new crown and made it fit to my tooth, all done within 3 hours. I am very impressed. I recommend Rachel to anyone who would like to get their teeth problem sorted effectively and efficiently.

Fantastic experience: Orla Clarke has been fantastic with my kids, and me actually. my 3 kids had a fear of the dentist, and so did I, which probably made everything worse. It took me ages to find a dentist that i would trust, and then i was recommended Orla. I was pleasantly surprised. She was amazingly patient and very very gentle and kind to each of us. she explained everything as she went, which really helped to settle the nervous system. She took an interest in each of us and remembered names each time and little questions to ask. she really respected my holistic approach to health and worked with me to establish a plan for each child. i am truly grateful to Orla and would highly recommend her.

Fantastic experience: I attended Boyne dental on 16th Sept to have treatment for a gum infection. During my , more than, 90 minutes in the dentist chair , I felt no discomfort whatsoever; i dread dentists visits usually but now I have no concerns about revisiting for one more hour “in the chair” to complete the treatment. And I appreciated the call from Maria my dentist the following day checking if everything was ok.

Fantastic experience: Back from my 4th visit to Boyne Dental with the brilliant Niall. Finished my dental plan today utilising IV sedation to overcome fears of dentistry. Niall & the team are amazing at what they do, in particular around dealing with anxious patients. Highly recommended!

Positive experience: Great service, rang with a broken tooth,I was given an appointment for the same day. The densist was just lovely, talked through all options on fixing my tooth. Nothing was too much trouble. All staff are always helpful and friendly.

Fantastic experience: I certainly would recommend Maria Varela to do a root canal treatment. I probably could have got it done cheaper somewhere else but money well spent. I found Maria very understanding considering I would be a nervous patient. She explained everything to me throughout the treatment. I knew I was in good hands. I even got a phone call two days later to see how I was after root canal treatment which I thought was very nice. I've had extractions etc over the years in different dentists & no one ever rang me to see how I was.

She made it painless, easy and was incredibly accommodating to my anxiety while getting it done, she ensured that i was as comfortable as possible and checked in with me multiple times throughout the procedure. Fantastic experience: I had avoided the dentist for years and was very nervous about going after breaking a tooth. From the minuite i stood in the door i was made feel extremely comfortable. Orla and David were highly skilled and professional at what they do, they ensured i was comfortable and pain free throughout my extraction. The dental nurse ciara was also fantastic and the staff at reception very friendly and helpful. Would highly reccomend Boyne Dental to everyone.

Negative experience: My daughter rang with bad pain from an erupting wisdom tooth. Although she is not currently a patient with this issue practice she rang to see if they could fit her in. The lady who answered the call said they had no appointments that day but to ring back and see were there any cancellations. When mu daughter enquired as to what she would do if she couldn’t get a cancellation, she was told that she should go to the emergency clinic. My daughter asked where this was and to her shock she was told “you would have to Google it”. To say I am surprised that she was told to “Google it” is an understatement!!! Not very friendly or polite service from a well established dental practice.

Fantastic experience: I originally was seen by Dr James McGennity in Boyne Dental in November 2023. I had broken a tooth as a teenager and the root canal had failed (work not originally completed by Boyne Dental). I was told I would need the tooth extracted and an implant placed. This was very daunting considering it was a front tooth, I was getting married in 10 months time and I really did not like the thoughts of the dentist. I could not praise James & the staff in Boyne Dental highly enough. Everyone goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and comfortable in the clinic. From the very beginning, James made a plan of action and assured me that he would do his very best to make sure I could smile with my teeth on my wedding day. I had my last implant appointment today with James and I am absolutely delighted with the results. All sorted with time to spare before the wedding! I have been recommending Boyne Dental since I started attending them and I will keep recommending them to everyone. Thank you all so much for helping me throughout the entire process!

Fantastic experience: Typically I don't review places, but I'm sharing my experience in case it helps someone else make a difficult decision to conquer their anxiety like I was able to. It's amazing the impact that one person and an excellent clinic can have when it comes to alleviating the stress, anxiety and fear around going to the dentist. For me, Dr. Niall Neeson was that person. After avoiding dentists since childhood due to a traumatic experience, it was a difficult step to even make the initial contact to schedule an appointment. That being said, I'm so glad I did. The staff at Boyne dental are incredibly compassionate and understanding around these issues. I'd especially like to highlight their treatment care coordinator Carol Kearney, whom as my first point of contact was fantastic in addressing my concerns and making me feel understood, and was most importantly non judgmental. It was so important to have that positive initial point of contact. My first visit to Dr. Neeson definitely put in perspective why he's known as the calming dentist. He's incredibly friendly and kind, and takes genuine time and care to address your specific concerns, fears, or questions. Yet again, there was absolutely no judgement, just lots of positive affirmations that he was glad to see someone making the decision to improve their dental hygiene, regardless of how long it's been. Throughout the treatments, both Niall and his dental nurse Rebecca made sure I was comfortable, calm, and experienced no pain or discomfort. He was also incredibly considerate towards making sure I understood what treatments were necessary and why, never once did I feel like I was being upsold on unnecessary treatments. I left with a genuine smile, and I'm glad I can say my dentist is Niall Neeson. I wish I had this experience as a child, but now is the second best time.

Fantastic experience: I Karl O'Hara attended Boyne Dental on monday 12th of August 2024 as an emergency, i cant recomend this practice enough, from start to finish it was a very smoorh process, Sinead was my dentist on the morning & was very professional, fantastic job done, by everybody, i will be back again, keep up the great work.

Fantastic experience: Dr Amanda Twomey has been amazing! She has so much patience for my children, the appointments are never rushed, if she feels that the appointment is/has been to overwhelming for them, she will stop and continue another day. My children have no issues going back to see her, as she has put them at ease and the experience has not been one that will scare them off. If the appointment involved a tooth extraction or a filling, I will get a check in call the following day. Highly recommend Dr Amanda for your children that are anxious or fidgety.

Fantastic experience: Update August 2024 As I reflected on my recent visit and realised it was over 10 years since I had initially reviewed Boyne Dental, an update felt well overdue. Over those 10 years the practice has deservedly flourished and certainly from my perspective the growth and success has been no surprise. The friendliness, patient focus and professionalism of David and his team, along with state of the art equipment facilities and premises is a recipe that works very well for me and many others. Again I have no hesitation in strongly recommending Boyne Dental (even if each visit does mean a 150 mile round trip!). Having been treated by David for a number of years I was delighted when he established his own practice. I have recently had a substantial amount of dental implants and bridge work carried out at Boyne Dental and Implant Clinic and during this time I found everyone to be extremely professional friendly and anxious to ensure that I fully understood each step of the treatment plan. Fantastic experience: I have to say that Maria who did my root canal procedure is truly amazing. She was so caring, kind and beyond thoughtful. I was so nervous and she instantly put me at ease and really made me feel cared for every step of the way. Maria is what anyone going into the field should strive to be and I can hands on heart say she is the best dentist I've seen. Took the time and care to explain everything to me every step and kept checking in on me. The practice itself is amazing, very professional and polite. Go above and beyond to be as helpful as they can be. I was put on a cancellation list on the Wednesday and was in on the Friday having the procedure done. This experience has left me feeling less scared of the dentist and I will be going back in the future to now invest in my dental health because of them. I truly trust I will get the care and top quality treatment here whereas previously I had been left with bad experiences that put me off going for as long as possible. This experience has definitely changed my mindset. Thank you to everyone at the practice but especially Maria who is just *chefs kiss* for looking after me. I can't say enough positive things about her and the practice.

Fantastic experience: Broke a tooth on,a Friday, was senn Saturday for an emergency appointment. Couldn't be happier with the absolute professional care and customer follow up that I received from the team. Amanda made me feel so very comfortable and confident in the entire process, took her time and ensured I was mentally and physically ready for the procedure. I never felt so safe and listened to as a dental client. The follow up was just as attentive and professional. Adi took very good care of me days later, listened to me and my immediate concerns, determined my needs and made me feel like a priority concern, instead of a number. Fantastic experience: Went to Niall after years of avoiding the dentist as I have had unpleasant experiences and really don't like injections into my mouth. Niall was so welcoming and put my mind at ease. We went for sedation. My treatment was based over 2 visits and the 2nd time there was no fear at all. I would recommend Niall to any nervous patients. All the staff were friendly, the clinic it's self does not have that dentist smell about it, the rooms have music or you can even watch TV on the ceiling. 100% the best dental experience I've had.
