Pembroke Dental, The Granby Clinic

Negative experience: In March 2025 I visited your clinic in severe pain due to an impacted wisdom tooth. An X-ray and check-up were carried out, but I was then informed that the extraction could not proceed and that a surgeon was required. I was offered a consultation with a surgeon for the following week, even though I was in considerable pain and was relying on daily medication for relief. (Before March- I also visited your clinic in February and x-ray and check up was also carried out) I also learned that a 3D scan would be needed before any extraction could take place (advised by Pembroke dentist and receptionist) meaning the full process could take 2–3 weeks. Unable to wait that long in pain, I went to another clinic where my tooth was extracted within 10 minutes. The dentist there was surprised by the guidance I had been given at Pembroke Dental, confirming that no surgical extraction or 3D scan was needed. The extraction was simple and straightforward, and no stitches were even required. This leads me to believe the process at your clinic was unnecessarily prolonged, with excessive additional steps that added costs but not value to my care – especially when I was in pain and needed timely treatment. Frankly, it felt more like a money-making process than a patient-focused solution. Following that- my partner is currently in the sane situation with your Carlow clinic. The receptionists are rude and this whole place is horrible! I am also in the process of making an official complaint to Dental Council and I will take further actions and will give my time and effort if our complaint will not be handled appropriately.

Negative experience: In with Dr Nwachukwu for teeth cleaning was charged €120 I thought it was way over priced as average price for dental hygienist is €70 in Ireland. I won't be going back here again

Negative experience: I've had nothing but BAD experiences with this practice. I had two fillings done in less than two years and BOTH of them are causing problems. One dentist told me I need a root canal, went for another consultation with the same place and they said I don't need a root canal. It's a bit of a coincidence that two fillings done in the same practice are causing problems. I'm none the wiser after another consultation with them. I got other things done with my teeth at Pembroke and I've had nothing but problems. Now it looks like I'll have to fork out again to rectify fillings they've done. Absolute joke. Still waiting on a call from a manager.

Fantastic experience: Had Teeth Cleaning appointment today with Dr Mehvisch and she was wonderful .. very professional and staff were very efficient !!! No issues getting appointment even in busy Christmas season !

Negative experience: I am writing this on behalf of my adult daughter who came home shattered and shocked after attending Dr Sharier Korshid. He didn't bother to numb her mouth before giving her a very rough injection, spilling a good bit of the solution onto her tongue and then starting to work without even giving it a minute to numb. When she complained he then gave her another rough injection straight into her palate which hurt like mad. She came home saying that never again would she go back to Pembroke. Nowadays most dentist put a numbing gel on the injection site; some tap to distract the patient while they are injecting. Not this dentist - he was rough, abrasive and altogether left her quite distressed. As a consolation she did say that the filling was fine. Pembroke usually has a good reputation but the entire team needs to get on board with dental practices in the 21st century.

Fantastic experience: First time attending pembroke I Was in today for a wisdom tooth removal was worried as I really don’t like visiting a dentist due to bad experiences before But my fears were put to rest as soon as I arrived staff was very helpful and I was talked through what to expect during the procedure and I felt zero pain and was very comfortable best dentist I’ve been to can’t recommend highly enough

Fantastic experience: I was nervous attending Pembrook Granby today but I was put at ease by Dr Dur who went through my options and the procedure prior to a wisdom tooth extraction. Very professional job and great manner. I can't praise her highly enough. Well recommended.

Fantastic experience: Couldn’t have been happier with my experience at Pembroke Granby. I had four fillings and both the nurse and the dentists bedside manner was lovely. Dr Dur did an exceptional job and I came away feeling no pain at all.

Fantastic experience: Dr. King is a fabulous dentist. I had two composite fillings done on two of my front teeth and she did an amazing job. Dr. King is incredibly thorough and took the time to discuss fully what I was hoping to achieve. The result is exactly what I was hoping for and they are very sympathetic to my face and character. I am thrilled with the result and her care. Highly recommend Dr. King and I will return to her in the future for sure.

Fantastic experience: I've been to Pembroke's Dentist for two times and I must say they are professinals! Not only was I greeted by a enthustiastic receptionist by the name of Hazel , but she also assisted me in booking appointments of which showed flexibily for my time and their working times. The Dentists by the names of Pavly and Marie give their full attention towards the patient and make sure that through the whole process it remains as confortable and painless/pain free as possible. I am definitly happy with the service that I was provided , so keep up the great work! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Fantastic experience: I had my teeth cleaned with Dr. Pavly. He was very pleasant to deal with & thoroughly cleaned my teeth. His attention to detail was great & he even numbed my gums with a gel because I have sensitive teeth. He is the best dentist I have ever visited & I would recommend.

Negative experience: Website and staff misleading. Website says "occasionally complex root canal treatment may need to see a specialist", but the dentist says simply "Shah does our root canals". They then charge for an extra consultation for the root canal on top of the initial consultation. Shah is very vague with the details of the treatment, whipping through the information once before whisking you out and offering no professional opinion, seems mostly concerned about whether you can afford the treatment, and on that note is VERY clear on costs mentioning them half a dozen times from the second you walk in the door. The "regular" dentist wasn't too great either they disturbed an existing filling when adding a new one which has given sensitivity and pain. Needless to say I'll be going elsewhere to get it fixed.

Fantastic experience: I attended Pembroke Dental on Granby Row to have 3 of my wisdom teeth removed. Kate was the oral surgeon I seen and she was amazing. As a nervous patient, she really made me feel at ease. The surgery was quick and the after care for my recovery was exceptional. If I had any queries, I just rang their support team and a nurse was happy to help and advise me immediately. The whole experience was fantastic and I left a very happy patient. Thank you to all the team that helped me.
