Fantastic experience: fabulous clinic with the most professional dentists i have come across in years. Both Nim and Francis put the patients needs first every single time without a doubt and the results are seen in the immaculate work i have got done with them for years. Receptionist is friendly and hardworking too. Top tier equipment used and state of the art machines for dental work. Each visit , I've only been welcomed with an abundance of happy faces and a pleasant visit. I recommend this clinic to anyone who is looking for the best of the best. 5/5 indeed

Negative experience: I do not recommend this practice!! While making an appointment for a consult here I asked that the consult be private as I was very anxious about getting any work done. While sitting in the chair with my mouth wide open there were people in and out of the room like yo-yos! I had never felt so uncomfortable in my life. The following day I had rang to get a copy of the xray I had gotten done there and an estimate of the costs for the work I would need but the receptionist was so rude on the phone, basically barking at me to ring back when it wasn’t busy! I had to ring 3 times before she finally sent the X-rays without the cost breakdown for what I needed!! Furthermore she then cancelled my next appointment without my knowledge until I received an email about it!! This is the worst ran business I’ve ever come across!

Fantastic experience: My experience was excellent from start to finish. I was an anxious patient from previous dental trauma, I had a wisdom tooth removed and came away thinking "that's how how the dentist experience should be". I was also at a stage where I was ready for Othodontic treatment. I started my journey in September 2023 and had my braces removed in July 2024. This was extraordinary as I had previously been told this would take years to fix my teeth. I couldn't be happier with the service from front of house to dentist chair and retainer fittings! They are an extremely busy and popular dentistry and provide a range of additional modern and cosmetic services too. I was always prepared to wait up to an hour, in fact the receptionist was always very kind and on occasion would suggest coming back in an hour if I had any jobs to do in town. Which I found very helpful. Dr. Nim and her team were compassionate and competent and I always left feeling I had recieved an excellent service. Bridie was always very thorough and prompt in her follow ups. I was never unsure of my next appointment, recieved timely email reminders and also got it on an appointment card too. I would like to sincerely thank the team for my experience, and look forward to my next visit. Roisin

Negative experience: Have been going to excel dental since 2015 and I had a appointment last week which I completely forgot about and received a phone call that I missed it which I apologise for and said I'd take the next available appointment then I was told that I would have to pay fourty euro cause I missed my appointment but every time I was in getting work done I was waiting over a hour over my appointment time and I never said a word all the money I have spent there and all my appointment times were never on time and they ask for forty euro so I have now moved to a different dentist

Fantastic experience: I got my wisdom tooth out with Francis this week and I highly recommend his for this service. He took great care and made sure I was comfortable. The dental nurse Keelin was excellent and deserves a mention. Will definitely be back.

Negative experience: Choose this dentist with caution solely for having to deal with this secretary very unprofessional My husband said the Dentist is very professional polite and respectful, wonderful dentist all round , But unfortunately that can not be said for the receptionist Bridie ! Who is the rudest person I or my husband have ever dealt beyond comprehension,so much so my husband got the last of his work done over a week ago and we will be seeking another dentist that has better staff representing them as the forefront of their business.

Negative experience: Very disappointed. My husband phoned this morning to ask for an appointment for me because I've had toothache all weekend. The receptionist said she would call us back in less than 2 hours. 6 hours later my husband rang again and a different receptionist said they were fully booked for the next two weeks. I wish they would have kept their word to ring us back so that we weren't waiting all day (in pain) and could've found a different dentist sooner. I had previously recommended the practice but feel very shabbily treated. They clearly don't deal with emergencies.

Fantastic experience: Well, what can I say, I have just left this place just now, I have read the reviews before I went here today and I did not experience any bad manners or anything as suggested by other reviewers, my experience was 5 stars, very friendly staff, another dentist from somewhere else suggested that I have a root canal while excel dental said that there was no need, saving me a lot of money and perhaps some discomfort, I had a root canal before and seriously its not as painful as you may think. Excel dentist was honest with me and not out to take money from people when he doesn't have to, he could have said I needed a root canal and I would not have known any different, thanks for the honesty excel dental and I am looking forward to going back there to get my 3D printed filling..

Fantastic experience: Normally I hate going to the dentist, but I have to say I totally enjoyed my experience from the pleasant lady in reception to the witty dentist and his nurse that left me totally at ease. I can't believe I am actually looking forward to returning next month. Well done guy's and thank you for the experience. *****

Negative experience: After been left in the waiting room for 1 hour i was brought into see the lady dentist and she was so rude . Basically as I had a medical she spoke to me like I was dirt . I asked about braces for my bottom teeth and she wouldn't even entertain me . Told me I wouldn't be getting them done with her . I asked about getting a white filling and was told medical card people dont get white fillings in the back teeth and when i said I would pay the extra she completely ignored me . I also asked her to fix my front filling and she didn't touch it . when she had finished the back tooth she just started writing something didn't even tell me she had finished and when I asked about the front one she looked at me like I was stupid totally rude and unprofessional dentist . And I will be bringing my complaint further.

Negative experience: I had two dreadful experiences here ten years ago and I regret not speaking out back then. I hope their aftercare has improved, and that they no longer remove perfectly healthy molars to boost their coffers. I haven't had back teeth to chew with since because I couldn't afford the root canals they insisted I needed. The extractions were brutal - tooth broken roughly by herself and entrails left hanging down my neck on one occasion, another time I was in so much pain after I left that I thought I was dying. My facial structure, smile and confidence have been affected ever since.

Fantastic experience: What an utterly professional safe experience having my implants done. I was anxious, having to have implants, but the attention to, health and hygiene etc was superb. No pain 10 hours later. Brilliant humorous dentist. Very professional service

Fantastic experience: Second visit to Excel Dental today, this time for a filling. As someone who had a bad experience as a child on a visit to the dentist I was a bit apprehensive never having had a filling before. But I didn't feel a thing, the most uncomfortable part was having to keep my mouth open for a few minutes. I'd have no problem recommending Excel Dental to anyone.

Fantastic experience: Very good experience at Excel Dental, Nim was just fantastic. My childhood fears of dentists were quickly dispelled. I had to have fillings and a tooth cut out but I put it off because of previous experiences at the hands of other dentists. I would highly recommend the practice.

Negative experience: I was waiting 2 hours for 15min treatment. Forced to take anesthesia even though it wasn"t needed. The receptionist was very nice today compare to to the one that is usually there so the second star is for her. Overall, way below my expectations.
