Fantastic experience: After looking at some of the reviews here we were very uncertain, but our experience was just top class. The Wife Went in for one extraction with Dr. Nayyar he is the best around very understanding towards nervous patients Made her so comfortable before he did anything such a lovely person Every member of staff are very friendly and helpful Don’t mind the negative comments He extracted the broken tooth that another dentist made a mess of trying to take out her mouth the day previous we were in and out in under 1hr job done thanks Sinead Geraghty

Negative experience: This “specialist” could not stop talking about how much experience he has. He tried telling me hes been a specialist dentist longer than my parents are alive. Let me tell you - he was far from a specialist. Before the agreed procedure to remove ONLY 1 of my wisdom teeth, he heavily tried convincing me to remove 2 more completely healthy and low risk wisdom teeth. After repeatedly denying to have 2 more wisdom teeth removed that was NOT talked about prior, his whole tone and mood switched up. During my removal, he put on some loud Muslim Mosque music and spoke arabic to the nurse. While talking to the nurse in arabic, he jabs the anaesthetic in my tongue, leaving my tongue numb for 6+ MONTHS. Doesn’t apologise or say anything. Grinds down my healthy tooth when removing my wisdom tooth, leaving it sensitive and damaged. Slices my cheek while removing my wisdom tooth. After the operation, he leaves both my lower gum and tongue numb for 8+ MONTHS. He makes you sign a waiver before the operation basically saying hes not liable for anything. Go anywhere but this guy. Couldnt have had a worse experience.

Fantastic experience: I was referred here by my own dentist and after reading some reviews I was a bit nervous going. My experience was brilliant, the girl at reception was polite and informative. The dentist was super professional, Dr Nayyar made sure I was comfortable and understood the procedure. The procedure itself was quick and painless. I’m pleased with how my visit went.

Fantastic experience: No issues in and out appointments ran on time. Free parking easy access perfect for people travelling spar with a big food a hall right beside the dentist office.

Negative experience: Would not recommend going here. Dr. Nayyar was rude, lacked any type of people skills. If you are at all nervous, this man will only make it worse. My appointment was for 11.30 and I was finally seen at 12.45. I asked for advice on the sedation/ local anesthetic and was told I'm a big girl. That was the end of the consultation process. I was charged €150 on top of my health insurance for this consultation. I Would advise anyone thinking of going here to look elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Was referred to Dr Nayyar by my dentist to have an upper cracked molar tooth removed. I found all the staff to be professional, friendly and compassionate. After a full mouth x-ray and a local anaesthetic the tooth was removed painlessly. I highly recommend the Dublin Dental Specialist Clinic.

Fantastic experience: After reading the reviews for Dublin Dental Specialists I was hesitant to attend their practice however I had a very positive experience. I had four wisdom teeth removed by Dr Nayyar, both him and the nurse were very professional and efficient. It is clear that they are very experienced and now exactly what they are doing. I had some pain a week after the removal and within an hour of ringing the reception I was seen to by Dr Nayyar and the problem was fixed. I would 100% recommend Dr Nayyar and his team.

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend this place enough. All staff are so fantastic and friendly and helped me relax and stay calm. I would come here for anything. Cannot speak highly enough. It was so quick, easy and pain-free. Thank you so much!

Positive experience: I had my roots removed yesterday. Dr. was very professional, his assistant ( lady) was absolutely amazing, but they receptionist was very rude. Receptionist is first face of company, she shouldn't talk the way she is talking to the patient. On the phone I have been told I ll be paying €220 , and she repeated twice. But when I arrived , she said is €320. That's not a big deal, I just said what did I hear on the phone. So her answer was "Everyone hear what they wanna hear". That's was absolutely rude. Wouldn't like to deal with her anymore. Anyway, thank you to Dr. Nayyar and his assistant were very good. After surgery I was grand and 24 hours pass I am good.

Fantastic experience: Very positive review from me after my visit this morning. I read the reviews like everyone else, but it was 100% positive for me. I’ve had some traumatic experiences with extractions in different places before, & was quite nervous about panicking in the chair, so I opted for IV sedation. I remember the IV going in, next thing I know they tell me it’s over, just like that. Excellent experience, found everyone to be friendly & very informative. ignore negative reviews, I would definitely return. 10/10.

Fantastic experience: I had 4 impacted wisdom teeth that my dentist advised me to have removed and this clinic was the only one to have availability for me without having to attend another consultation on top of my one with my dentist. Bonus was that they were registered with VHI so I had the procedure covered by my insurance :) I was very nervous on the day so I opted for the IV sedation and don’t remember a single thing from the procedure! Although I should say that the nurse was particularly lovely to me beforehand and the lady on the reception was very kind to me after the procedure. It’s been a week so far and no complications, just still a bit tender and sore but no major issues. I think they did a great job on the surgery cause I also had little to no swelling and the area of removal is healing well. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Had a wisdom tooth removed. I found all the staff to be professional, friendly and compassionate. Tooth was gone quite quickly. The dentist said it took longer than normal as I have strong jawbone. Longest part was waiting for the local anaesthetic to take effect. No complaints. I hope to never need the service again but will use this specialist for any further issues.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Sharif and his team highly enough. After going through some not so pleasant dental experiences, I found the practice to be professional, excellent evidence based practice, and above all personed centred. Every part of the process was explained in great detail to me ( at my request) and Sharif and his wife whose name I did not catch unfortunately, explained post surgical care in detail. I normally do not recommend other healthcare professionals but in this instance, I will with Sharif and his team. Thank you all. Gemma

Fantastic experience: My dentist made the appointment with Dr. Nayyar as the xray of my wisdom teeth showed it was a difficult extraction. Found the experience to be professional friendly and efficient. Highly recommended. Dr. Nayyar is straight talking and to the point.

Fantastic experience: After looking at some of the reviews here I was uncertain, but my experience was just top class. Went in for one extraction but Dr. Nayyar found the adjacent tooth was close to collapse (my dentist somehow missed this). Probably the best thing was the discussion over my options - he gave me all the info he had, showed me other x-rays to compare the issues I had with others so I could understand the severity of decay. And after all that suggested I get a second opinion since I had only come in for one tooth out. But I chose to get both done there and then. Throughout, all the staff from front desk to surgery were just excellent. Friendly but serious and understanding many patients are nervous. I had sedation, and less than 30 minutes later was out and being driven home. I just wanted to offer my experience over some of the silly complaints here on the Google reviews. I would go back again in a heartbeat.

Positive experience: I got a wisdom tooth yanked out of my skull a couple weeks ago. After seeing negative reviews about Dr Nayyar I am not entirely surprised as he came across as blunt, hurried, and short tempered. He arrived late and after what seemed like 10 minutes of me lying in the chair listening to his middle Eastern music while he typed in details on his computer eventually he got to work on what was a well performed surgery and successful removal of my sideways wisdom tooth, hooray. His assistant was absolutely amazing and answered my questions on jaw clenching, tooth abcess and questions I had. she genuinely cared but the Dr was on an absolute mission to crack that tooth out of my skull in the most swift way possible and with whatever force necessary so he could go on his coffee break.

Fantastic experience: I had one upper an one lower wisdom teeth that needed to remove. Need to wait over one month for the consultation appointment in my area. Finally I found this dental clinic online and had an appointment directly over the phone. The reception staffs were very friendly when we arrived and Dr. Nayyar removed my two wisdom teeth very quickly. I didn’t feel any pain during and after the surgery. Thank you so much Dr.Nayyar and your colleagues. Very pleasant experience in your dental clinic.

Fantastic experience: After reading the negative reviews I was a bit skeptical about going here. But the care I received was superb and I would say world class. I was in and out of the establishment within 1hour for my wisdom tooth removal. All the staff I dealt with were very professional from the receptionist to Dr Nayyar himself and his nurse. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Was nervous about wisdom tooth removal but the Dr and nurse were brilliant. Receptionist also lovely and explained everything to me before about pain relief options and aftercare when I was finished. Was quick procedure, once the numb injection kicked in, they started and I was finished in ten minutes. I would highly recommend and if I need anything done again in future I will be back ☺️

Negative experience: Very confusing discussion with receptionist about insurance and payments, it felt like she was too busy and rushed to help me, quite impolite and unwelcoming, critical of my questions. No replies to emails about Xray. Very expensive.

Fantastic experience: I was on my appointment today. Got my appointment date 2 weeks ago and was reading all the reviews before going. But once there it was very different to what some reviews said. He makes feel comfortable and relax, he did ask what are we doing today, ie extraction or root canal, I think he's just giving you an option, also ask about local anesthesia or sedation. Under local anesthesia extraction was done in less than 15 mins, hats off to Dr Sharif. Would highly recommend

Fantastic experience: I was referred by my general dentist for extraction of upper wisdom teeth. Got an appointment very quickly and was well looked after. Post op care was all explained and written down. Had no issues.

Negative experience: Unprofessional and extremely rude to his Dental Nurse. Made my partner cry when she had wisdom teeth removed. Had mine done also ended up with dry socket and bone infection. When i went back to the practice some hours later for prescription pain killers and antibiotics he refused to see me. Was in pain for months after still have jaw issues.

Fantastic experience: From start to finish we had a good experience here. The receptionist was very helpful and polite. Mr Nayyer was a nice gentleman who carried out the surgery. The nurse was exceptionally gentle & kind to my very nervous daughter, holding her hand throughout. She also explained everything I needed to know afterwards. Thank you to everyone there.

Negative experience: Avoid at all cost - no matter how much pain you might be in. I had the severe displeasure of being treated here. 1. They misplaced my referral from my dentist 2. The dentist asked the questions that the receptionist should ask. I don't beleive the receptionist spoke English. 3. While on the dentist chair, the receptionist came in and started working on the computer, with no scrubs. 4. The dentist and his assitance communicated in another language. 5. I wasn't given any mouthwash before the proceedure. 6. During the proceedure, Arabic or Indian music was turned on. 7. I asked if I could have the extracted tooth. He told me he couldn't because of data protection. What??? Yep, that's what he said! In my opinion, this dentist is totally disorganised, verging on malpractise and risks a serious event with a future patient. I felt spoken down to. I felt like I was under duress. I felt like he saw the money, not the patient. I felt everyyhing was rushed. Patient care was really not a priority. He was arrogant towards me and had zero empathy. Two weeks later, I'm still in pain. Went back to my referring dentist, he apologised and told me he had another complaint in the same week. I reported specialist.ie to the Irish Dentist Council. I wouldn't bring an animal to this man, let alone a human being. Avoid at all cost I've had to engage another specialist to resolve this issue. A truely horrible experience

Fantastic experience: Dr Nayyar removed all 4 of my wisdom teeth 6 years ago. He is affordable, straight to the point and incredibly good at what he does. Would highly recommend.

Negative experience: Brought my Friend here to get her wisdom tooth out, as we were waiting a young girl came out of one of the rooms in tears, her mother came after her saying she was leaving because the dentist "Mr nayyar" was shouting at her. She was very young and her ma told me she was very nervous but that the dentist was really mean and had brought her to Point of tears! So her mother took her out after remarking on how "unprofessional" the place was. There was two more people in the waiting room, a mother and daughter who I began talking to, they had come from Meath, no short distance, and the daughter (who's name i regret getting now) was very nervous aswel, she had 3 wisdom teeth to remove, and we could hear my friend call out in pain a few times and then the dentist give our to her for doing so. I was not pleased and the girls mother wasn't sure she wanted to let her daughter be seen so I gave them the name of my dentist SCR clinic in south circular road and the two of them left. After I went in to see my friend who was in tears because of how mean they were to her, such an unprofessional place I'd definitely steer clear of this one.

Negative experience: PLEASE please please avoid this place. I made an apt for a wisdom tooth removal a few weeks ago and specifically asked to be sedated as i have bad anxiety. They said that was fine and let me know the extra price- however NEVER mentioned having someone wait in the office. Of course i had someone who was going to pick me up and when i let them know they needed to come back they did. When i told Dr.Nayyar this he raised his voice and became infuriated that i wouldnt do the procedure with local anaesthetic and told me to go into the other room. The entire time i was waiting for my mom to come back to the office him and his assistant kept coming in and belittling me by pointing out the fact everyone else in the waiting room had someone with them. My mom called the dentist that had reffered me and let them know that this dentist was only accepting cash (given, their card machine wasnt working which is out of their control! However, given no notice, its stressful to get €500 in cash). When my dentist called to ask about this, he came back in and started yelling at me further how it wasnt his fault! When my mom finally got to the office, Dr.Nayyar IMMEDIATELY had us in a room, CLOSED THE DOOR, and YELLED at us! I was reduced to tears after being belittled and embarrassed since walking in the door. I told him i was never told about having another person present, and we were both stressed about having such a large amount of money in cash with no notice. Immediately he asked who i talked to, and that i should know and its my fault for not asking about having someone present (in covid times i found this extremely unreasonable). I ran out of the office sobbing in bits with an anxiety attack. Ive never been treated so poorly- especially someone who is meant to be a professional. After reading the rest of these reviews i shouldve known better.

Fantastic experience: Reference by my dentist for wisdom tooth, difficult extraction. Had sedation. And was over before I realised. I would highly recommend Mr. Nayyar and his assistant, they were both amazing, explained everything as it went along, and no rush, aloud plenty time. I am a nervous patient, and they were brilliant, I had no pain, and today I went to work. Feel fine. Very professional, and also relaxed. Definitely bring someone with you if getting sedation, you will be confused afterwards, and will forget ever having procedure done. Again I highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: I was refered by my dentist for wisdom tooth extraction, quite nervous I was debating sedation. After reading the reviews I was really nervous to attend the clinic, but it just goes to show don't judge a place based on other experiences. Dr sharrif and his assistant were so lovely to me and made my feel so comfortable and at ease that in the end no sedation was needed to calm the nerves. it was a pain free pleasant experience that couldn't have gone smoother for me. Thank you so much Everywhere has bad reviews it's a pity people jump to put the bad ones and not the good! It's not all as bad as these reviews I promise

Negative experience: Horrific experience I was in with Dr Sharif today. I was referred by my dentist for an extraction. He had all my details, reason for extraction, which tooth, referral letter, x-ray etc. all sent by my dentist to him. I don’t think I’ve ever been treated such a way by anyone in all my life. When I got in the room he asked okay is it a wisdom tooth I am taking out today, I said no it’s not it’s the tooth beside it at the back, I asked did he have my referral letter. He said “yes but I need to ask you these questions I am not magic” i explained everything with the tooth, he lay me back on the chair took a look and said you need route canal, I advised him I spoke with my dentist about this already my two options were extraction or route canal, I had been suffering with this tooth awhile I just wanted it out. I was told I would look silly with it removed, which I wouldn’t it’s the very back tooth. I was getting abit anxious now it seemed unprofessional he was starting to raise his voice and was getting angry as I didn’t want route canal. I sat up I said “I don’t know about this I think I will leave it” he was not impressed he continued shouting, he said “aw you know everything you tell me how to do my job”. My mam was in the room with me and sat there in shock. I said to him “you are being rude and raising your voice” he then said to me “yeno what I am not doing it get out” I burst into tears so upset and embarrassed, I left his room walked out to reception made sure to get a business card as I said I would be writing a review. His assistant was nice she tried to calm him but couldn’t, never in my life been treated like that. Hope this helps someone else. Wish I read the reviews before I went to him, save my self the traumatic experience.

Fantastic experience: I was a bit reluctant about attending this clinic after reading the other reviews here. I was referred here by my Dentist, and got 3 wisdom teeth extracted yesterday. I was very anxious and nervous so they recommend sedation. I cannot remember anything about the procedure at all! Procedure was done in about 30 minutes, plus about an hour recovery before being allowed home (if getting sedated you need someone to collect you) Aftercare instructions very clear (all printed out and easy to follow), and the staff were really friendly and accommodating. Plus the extraction for all 3 teeth was covered on my VHI insurance plan, so only had to pay for the sedation (€130) Dr Nayyar and staff really put me at ease and I could not recommend them more!

Negative experience: I called to book for a consultation, the man that answered was extremely rude on the phone telling me to shut up whilst he looked for availability. When I told him I've no dentist referral and I wanted to get xrays for there opinion he Started talking about money and how I'm being an inconvenience because I have nothing. He mentioned the xray was 50 which was fine then told me that all for, all 4 wisdom teeth to be removed it would be 880. I told him that's false as the website says all 4 wisdom teeth and a consultation is 700. He replied if that's what it says then it's 700 but 130 for anastasia. I said that's fine but started feeling put off as he was making up prices. He then asked how I will be paying and for insurance details before I even get to have a consultation. I told him I would pay in full up front and he kept saying hmm I don't know you have no letter, no insurance. It was extremely degrading and rude. When he eventually confirmed my appointment and hung up I looked at the reviews. Most of them are really bad are saying the same things honestly dodged a bullet I'll take my money somewhere else.

Fantastic experience: Just got a wisdom tooth out yesterday.Was a nervous wreck going in as I'm terrified of dentists but they recommended me to get it done under sedation and I can't remember a thing. My wife collected me, she drove home and next thing is I wake up in bed at home (can't remember the drive home) . Girl in reception is a real lady and Dr Shariff and the dental nurse were so professional. They were even joking with me because I was so nervous and then I was gone I was that sedated I can't remember if I told them thank you. So just want to thank Dr Shariff and his team. Would highly recommend for people who have the fear of dentists ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Negative experience: I would give 0 stars if it was an option. Took my sister here for a consultation and immediately met with disregard from filling out the paper work to condescending remarks about her oral health, the entire experience was unacceptable and degrading. Asking irrelevant questions and belittling her throughout the procedure. She felt small and attacked once she left the dentists office and could not believe how she been treated. I am appalled and disgusted by this behaviour and surprised suggest the clinic staff to be retrained in customer service. Perhaps the dental experience we have ever faced, especially the dental assistant being intrusive to her personal life and passing comments that were hurtful and agonising.

Negative experience: Terrible experience, the whole appointment consisted of how I was going to be able to afford it. The nurse and surgeon googled my VHI plan to see would I be covered even though VHI confirmed over the phone to me that they will cover my fee's. I felt bullied and degraded by the surgeon about money. The whole appointment consisted of money money money. No discussion of what they would recommend, just how much everything would cost. They gave out to me as I didn't fully read the form about the surgery even though I wasn't getting it done that day and I just wanted a consultation and recommendation of what procedure to get done, what type of numbing etc. They tried to charge me €150 for a consultation but when I questioned them about it they immediately dropped the charge to €100 and I felt pressured to pay. An hour later I rang to complain about the experience how I disappointed I was in how I was treated and how the whole appointment was just about money not my oral health and they immediately offered me a refund to be fair. But no apologizes. Would not recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: Had a wisdom tooth extracted by Mr Nayyar excellent oral surgeon and staff all nice people. Highly recommend this gentleman , makes life easy and patients comfortable. Thank You all.
