Aylesbury Dental: Reviews
Fantastic experience: Absolutely delighted with my extraction, no pain even 3 days later im only using panadol, I had a very bad fear of the dentist from previous experiences and I was made feel calm and welcomed . To say my fear is gone now and I will not be going to any other dental practices for treatment, everything was explained to me from start to finish and I was given a after care leaflet also , also the prices are very reasonable, so thank you and see yous soon
Thank you for the feedback, we are so glad you had a good experience
Fantastic experience: Could not have asked for a better experience.particullarly as im a nervous patient. The dentist ensured i was comfortable and relaxed throughout a deep gum cleaning. She is a rare treasure and i highly reccomend her team.
Thank you for the kind review, we are happy you had a good experience
Negative experience: THE WORST DENTIST I HAVE EVER ATTENDED. IF YOU ARE DESPERATE PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF THE FURTHER DESPERATION. I came to this dental practice with a very painful root canal emergency. I was charged €50 for an xray & was told my options were a re-root canal surgery or an extraction. The dentist advised I get an extraction if I wanted the pain to stop to which I agreed. The first red flag was her prescribing me antibiotics but FORGOT to include any pain relief which was my main issue. I did not notice this till I got to the pharmacy so I called back, no apology was given she just told me to come back and she would write me another prescription. I came back in 2 days later for my scheduled extraction. When I arrived the anaesthesia given was NOT WORKING. She injected me with it 4 times & I waited 30 minutes between each dose to see if it worked but every time she tried to extract the tooth I could feel EVERYTHING. I kept telling her the anaesthesia was not working & that I was in pain. She kept telling me that’s impossible & perhaps it’s just my nerves. Second red flag. She suggested I come back in the next day to try again but this time she would give me a calming medicine first before the anaesthesia . I paid an additional €50 for this appointment along with yet another €50 to secure my rebooking which I was advised will be taken off my tooth extraction bill. Third red flag. The next day I came in & again I was injected twice to no avail. I could feel everything she was doing. It was absolutely horrible & so painful. She became frustrated & told me she’s fed up & there’s nothing she can do anymore. To which I agreed & asked for my xtray & medical report to be sent so I could seek help elsewhere. Fourth red flag. My X-ray was sent with another patients name on it? And the medical report only included the calming medicine name & no actual detail of my previous visit nor the other medicines prescribed. Nowhere near a precessional medical report. Fifth red flag. I asked for a refund because it was her who concluded the appointment as she was fed up & it was her who suggested we try the anaesthesia again the next day knowing it did not work after FOUR TIMES TRYING. I was made to pay 50€ to secure my rebooking which I was advised would be taken off my procedure bill also. None of which went ahead successfully. My refund request was denied. After 6 injections over 2 days & no progress I demanded I was refunded & after much hesitation they finally refunded me €50 out of €150 total I paid for nothing I went to star Dental in clonsilla & the lovely dentist there Dr Sharama advised against an extraction opposing this dental practices advise & was able to complete the procedure with one dose of anaesthesia & a 2 hour procedure. I am no longer in pain & am feeling much better nor did I have to have a tooth removed in the end. Not to mention I felt ZERO pain. Honestly all I can say is avoid this dental practice at all cost. It is not worth it. The pain, the money & the time wasted is unacceptable. They are incompetent & haven’t a clue what they’re doing. Advising extractions when they’re not necessary, forgetting prescriptions & attempting to numb a patient 6 times to no avail surely is not good practice.
Negative experience: Very disappointed with this dentist. 120euro for a small filling for my 5 year old which fell out after two weeks. Further 50euro charge for a missed appointment which they claim was my fault even though attempts were made to get through to their reception. Wont be returning and wont be recommending.
Hi emma
We are sorry you feel this way,
The 120 euro fee was not just for the filling there was an exam fee included in that price also, and we gave you another appointment to replace the filling that fell out free of charge which you failed to attend, we got no cancelation notice or voicemail to cancel, therefore a 50euro fee charge is implied to all patients who fail to attend without notice
kind regards
Aylesbury Dental
Negative experience: They are not very calming for nerves patients they left me with more damage done than when I went in over all dentist was very rude dental nurse was kind
Hi Ebony we are sorry you feel like this can you tell me when you were here as i don't seem to have you in our system so i can check this out
kind regards
Shirley
Fantastic experience: I'm giving 5 stars to this dental practice because I have just had the best experience there this morning. I haven't been to a dentist for 20 years as I never needed to go but had an issue with a tooth that was cracked, I was looked after by Shirley the dental nurse & Gianina the dentist and after an x-ray it was decided extraction was the best option. I was so nervous of pain, needles and the tooth being pulled but I needn't of been because it was all done so quick, no pain and I was out at such ease. Thank you again.
Your very welcome Trish and thank you for your kind review we really appreciate it.
kind regards
Shirley
Fantastic experience: Fantastic dentist and staff. Had a filling and extraction done in one day. The dentist did everything to accommodate me as I was in pain days before Christmas. Appointments ran like clockwork. Highly recommended.
Thank you for your kind review, Happy Christmas
Negative experience: So disappointed with this dentist. I have issues with my bottom teeth and decided to get bonding done as I’ve had it before on my top teeth. A week after having it done. It was cracked, sore and not the right shade, it stained after a day. And I knew it wasn't the same job as my previous dentist. I went back over and over and kept saying it was terrible. I went to another dentist for a second opinion and she said the job that was done was terrible and lumpy and needed to be removed and fixed. I asked several times for a refund and was told no and she said she could fix them in which I didn’t want her to go near them again. Eventually I got advise and was told to allow her to fix the bonding so I made an appointment. I couldn’t make my first one in which they charged me a fee. Which I understand. Then I make a new app and call today to confirm it’s tomorrow only to be told i missed it. Which is a lie. I had no reminder text which they now informed me they don’t do. And the never called to confirm the app either in which the always done previously! They have done this on purpose. I am a carer and a foster carer and I am out of pocket almost €1500 because of them and my teeth are horrendous and I am badly depressed because of them. And they tell me they are not doing them now because of the missed appointment this morning, in which I don’t believe was made for today, and we had a red weather warning and I’ve children to get to school. I will be making an official complaint. Stay clear
Hi Lesley we are sorry that you are disappointed with our service but the dentist did offer to solve your issue and you were giving a 90 minute appointment which you failed to attend we then gave you another 90 minute appointment which you failed to attend again we are sorry but we cannot tolerate this kind of behavior

Fantastic experience: Have had an amazing experience with Aylesbury Dentist. Im a very nervous patient and Dr Kui and her team have been very accommodating. I needed four crowns on my front teeth, Dr Kui gave me my dream teeth and I can finally smile confidently. The crowns were ready quicker than expected and within 30 minutes of the appointment I was skipping out of the building happily. Everyone on the team is so kind and helpful, from the receptionist answering my emails quickly and calling me every appointment a day prior to ensure I was still available, to the nurse who held my hand when I was scared and to Dr Kui who made sure everything was as painless and easy as possible. Thank you soo much! Will refer everyone here.
Negative experience: Disgrace of a place, rude receptionist, dentist removed half of my tooth, and left the other half sticking out of my gum, despite 3 attempts at removing it, they are blaming it on me not responding to the anesthetic, so I am still left with no answers and in severe pain. They also charged me a €150 deposit, which they refused to refund, despite only doing half the job. Avoid at all costs, I would never return.
I'm very sorry you were unhappy with our service, however the deposit you paid was 100 not 150, we did not refund the 100 as we did remove the tooth and only a root remained which we planned to remove, you agreed to this on the consent form that you were given to read and sign. Unfortunately we could not get you numb enough for that today but we would have been happy to try again at a later date. Your tooth was severely decayed and that is why it crumbled when we tried to remove it, this was all explained to you beforehand and again was mentioned on the consent form which clearly stated this as a risk. We tried for over 2 hours total and the lack of numbness was the issue, taking the root out could have been easily done if you were fully numb but on both occasions your tolerance to the anesthetic made this impossible to the point that even the air was hurting you so there was no possible way we could have removed the tooth while you were feeling so much pain.
Negative experience: Too expensive
Negative experience: Stay away from this dentist, rude no manners and very poor customer service. My sons 2 fillings came out after 6 weeks, she wouldn’t redone them, she wanted us to pay full price -told us it is my son’s fault. Absolute disgrace!
Hi Izabela, it is unfortunate that you feel that way but you were informed before they were done that they did not stand a good chance of lasting and that we could not guarantee how long they would last due to the position and cosmetic nature of them. You were also informed that it would be a constant back and forth over the next few years until he was old enough to have something more permanent placed, this was explained to yourself and your husband at both appointments and you chose to proceed with the treatment knowing this.
Negative experience: My son had 3 fillings on his front teeth. Brought him to different dentist for second opinion n on fillings. Dentist said Alysbury dentist destroyed my sons teeth fgwd redone them for free for him. Stay clear from Alsbury
Fantastic experience: The dentist was very professional and the nurse was simply fantastic. I am very nervous but she put me totally at ease...
Fantastic experience: Brilliant practice will highly recommend
Negative experience: Tooth was out in seconds small exam 220 euro daylight robbery never again
Hi Gavin, I can't find a record of you being a patient here since the change of ownership but we do inform every patient of the prices before any treatment is carried out so you do have the option to decline treatment and go elsewhere for a second opinion. A consent form is also signed for every extraction that we carry out so there would have been plenty of opportunity to raise any queries you had.
Negative experience: Awful experience with this practice. Would not recommend to anyone.
Fantastic experience: Brilliant Dental practice and spotless was very nervous on first visit but was made feel at ease immediately. Would definitely recommend it.
we appreciate your review:)you definitely made our Monday much nicer:)
Fantastic experience: I just had my first tooth extraction in Aylesbury Dental and was a big bag of nerves going in. The surgical dentist Gary and Lindsay the dental nurse were absolutely amazing at calming me and making sure it went smoothly. I'm very happy with the whole experience, honestly can't fault them. Lovely practice and the girls are all so friendly and warm. I will be using their services from now on!

Fantastic experience: 8am appointment to repair a broken filling. In/out in 20 mins and very good work done by all the team. In work by 8.50.
Thank you Mark very much for the comment it was our plessure
Negative experience: Needed a filling very nervous, dentist helped with this and sorted. But needed a clean so went back a week later for the clean then I apparently needed a filling also in front tooth. Got it done as they are the experts. Left dentist so numb took over 4 hours before could drink between the filling and my gums were sore from the deep clean and filling had sharp pain. The next day filling fell out contacted dentist and got a frosty reception as I felt the filling had not being done properly!! Again sensitivity for nearly 8 weeks after, was horrendous had to buy special toothpaste never ever did I ever this issue before!!!!! I've since gone to another dentist my experience has been so much better and they re-done the filling and corrected damage aylesbury dentist done to another tooth beside the filling! Never got any sensitivity problems from the new dentist. Very careless dentistry is what I was told by my new dentist. Aylesbury dentist seem to be chasing money off you and no proper afterservice Bottom line - customer service very poor And the answer to question below as follows by way you did have the opportunity as i told you on the day I returned to get the filling fixed again that I was dissatisfied with the filling falling out within 2 weeks and you did not comment but were happy to take to take my money no problem there! No empathy at all! And put the note below you never made contact with me even by phone if had really being interested in your customer's issues
