Fantastic experience: After 45 years avoiding the dentist after a bad experience I eventually had no option but to go. I had 6 fillings and 7 extractions totally painless.

Negative experience: I went to this dental clinic for a routine cleaning after not having one for two years. Based on past experiences at other clinics, I expected a more thorough clean — including tartar removal and some gum sensitivity. I didn’t experience that here and left feeling unsure whether the cleaning had actually been done properly. I emailed the clinic to raise my concerns but didn’t hear back for over a month. When I followed up again, I received a call that felt more like I was being told I was wrong, rather than having my concerns respectfully addressed. I’m sharing this so others can make an informed decision. I personally didn’t feel heard or reassured, and I won’t be returning.

Fantastic experience: I was always really anxious about dental appointments until I discovered Blue Poppy in Donegal Town. Lovely staff and a very calming atmosphere. Excellent dentists and a fantastic hygienist. I would highly recommend this dental practice if you are nervous or suffer from anxiety about visiting the dentist.

Fantastic experience: I need a emergency app as I had toothache and was seen that day I called the receptionist was so lovely and helpful had X-ray done the last was so lovely and help full and had to get tooth out which terrified me got extract on 19 March and never felt a thing and had no pain after either thanks to that amazing dentist he explained everything to me and I was so nervous before I came but wasn't at all thanks to the dentist I can't remember his name definitely recommend him blue poppy

Negative experience: Check prices before making your appointment. I was charged €85 for an initial assessment and a further €250 for one tooth extraction. This is unfairly overpriced. Other dentists are much cheaper with better service.

Fantastic experience: I can't recommend Dr. Lydia and her nurse, unfortunately don’t know her name, enough! For years my child was absolutely terrified of the dentists, it was a real struggle every time. But thanks to Dr. Lydia everything has changed!! Now instead of dreading appointments he actually looks forward to them! I had tears in my eyes when he walked out of the office saying they are the best! That means a lot, very appreciated. Dr. Lydia not only conducted treatment professionally but also found an approach to my boy, great patience and professionalism. Truly the best pediatric dentist!

Fantastic experience: My son recently completed his orthodontic treatment, and from the very beginning, the care provided by Dr. Mazen was exceptional. Every step of the treatment was explained clearly, which put me at ease throughout my son’s treatment. The results speak for themselves, and my son’s confidence has increased significantly. My daughter is also very happy with her treatment, as some old fillings were replaced without any pain. The nurse was also very kind. Thank you all so much!

All staff are definitely the most kindest and patient people I've ever met. They're always there to help whether it's over the phone or in person and they go above and beyond with patient care. Best dentist in Ireland if you ask me.

Negative experience: Was charged €200 for moulds for braces and then went 7 months without any contact from them. Tried calling a few times and was told the dentist would call me back but she never did. No refund offered and they still have not bothered to contact me. Ended up having to go to another dentist to have my braces fitted.

She is an outstanding specialist in her field, consistently attentive, and takes the time to answer all questions with patience. Every treatment session with her has been fast, painless, and most importantly of the highest quality! I can wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Anna to anyone who has a fear of dental procedures. She truly makes the experience as comfortable and reassuring as possible.

I was very nervous going in the second time to do my very first filling. I didn't know how painful it would be and I must say that I was impressed with how Dr. Anna handled the situation. She walked me through the process every step of the way. She was gentle and understanding. I cannot recommend Blue Poppy Dental enough. I am very confident and relaxed going back for my second filling.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Anna immediately put me at ease and gave me the space and time to speak about my issues. As well as some great reminders and information. The clinic is comfortable and clean. The service from staff at reception and on the phone, was also excellent.

Negative experience: Hi I was in for a check up, the dentist told me I needed two fillings one which was very small apparently. I was sitting on the inspection chair at 9:05 am and I was sitting back in my van at 9:30, so 25 minutes I was in.I was charged €240 for the treatment. I think this was a lot of money as when it came to the grinding/shaping of the filling I’m pretty sure the Dentist only shaped one of the fillings as I only had to bite down on the paper in one area. Negative experience: Awful clinic and awful service. I booked appointment for day and time. Didn’t receive from clinic any confirmation regarding appointment details. !!!!!! They didn’t ask any phone number or contact details. BUT !!!! When I came for appointment I found out that appointment was at another time and they charged me because I didn’t came. Excellent business plan book appointment for one time, give patient another time and just charging money without any service.

Positive experience: The service with the hygienessed is very good, but scheduling appointments is poor due to lack of communication over the phone.

Negative experience: I went for my yearly checkup here and the dentist tried to claim I needed three fillings and that it would be €300. I’ve never had a cavity in my life so I went to another dentist for a second opinion who told me I hadn’t a single cavity and I had a miniscule bit of staining on a singular tooth and that there was no way that I needed anything filled. Definitely will not be going here again as it’s clear that they’re more interested in money than providing quality care.
