Fantastic experience: While visiting Galway from “away”, had anxiety producing tooth issue and Eyre Square Dental Clinic fit me in on a Friday. The entire office was beyond professional, personable, and friendly. Assessment of the tooth issue was exceptionally thorough followed by a confidence inspiring explanation there is no issue. The entire visit was marvelous, with just a sprinkling of dry Irish humor - including a couple of “sites” to visit. Dr. Eoin and his entire team were absolutely wonderful throughout the process. From the initial consultation to the final result, their professionalism and expertise were evident. The implant looks amazing, blending perfectly with my natural teeth, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. The staff at the desk were always friendly and helpful, making every visit pleasant. Negative experience: Their dental care has always been good but I had to switch due their services being pricier than most other dentists in Galway. The biggest issue is they seem to always be hiring for new staff and are always delaying my appointments. Usually there is a 6 month waitlist for appointments also.

Fantastic experience: Jesus, I'm surprised at the influx of one-star reviews here. Firstly, from my own experiences here, the dentists are incredibly kind and compassionate, and I personally have never felt like I've been a burden to them. Perhaps the one mentioned in Diarmuid's review was having a bad day? Either way, I think that they have the customers' best interests at heart. Secondly, the cost of doing business here is relatively high. Staff wages, council rates, materials, services, rent of premises, public liability insurance, professional indemnity etc all have to be paid. These are some of the many reasons why a consultation could be 100 euros here. Waiting lists are through the roof at all dental practices I've heard, so that's not Eyre Square Dental's fault at all. Also, they have offered noise-cancelling headphones to me in the past since I'm susceptible to the sounds caused by the instruments, so it's something worth asking for in the future if you hate loud noises like I do, People should be more mindful when rating one star to a business and not acknowledging all of the facts..

Negative experience: 100.00 euro for a consultation that I wasn't made aware of until arriving at reception. 3D dental in Briarhilk does a free consultation. I'd love to see a break down of costs and how Eyre square dental justifies charging 100 euro for a 15/20 mins examination?

Negative experience: 1 star does not do this place justice. I had a filling done that was recommended and performed on me by a dentist at this business to remove a "precursor to a cavity" has caused near constant irritation and in late extreme pain and many sleepless nights for me in the past 2 years. I originally didn't want to get this filling but I was highly urged to get it done by the dentist to avoid the possibility of getting a cavity in that tooth, and once it was done i experience extreme sensitivity to temperatures and when I went back to complain they put what they called a varnish on it and told me they are certain that I won't experience any sensitivity, yet I went on to experience sensitivity in my tooth for the next year and a half. The sensitivity eventually went away later to be followed by an extreme spout of pain I can only describe as feeling like a nail was driven up my tooth. This happened whilst I was going on holidays. So for the week I was there half of it was spent lying down in a bed taking plenty of Panadol and anti-inflammatories. Once I came home I have to go to another dentist to see what the exact story was and turns out a section of my nerve completely died off and they recommended me to get a root canal or possible extraction of the tooth entirely. This whole thing was over the dentist poor recommendation to remove the possible chance of getting a cavity and the discomfort that I come with it yet, I went through some of the worst pain I ever experienced in my whole life because of this one procedure. I can't believe this was recommended to me and done to me by people who taught it be okay for this to be done. I wish everyday I never should of went to the dentist that day or I never got this filling done has even if I did get this cavity, the pain that it could bring would be miniscule to what I have felt. At best, the dentists in this business are extremely unexperienced and at worsted are more out for profit than they are comfort of the customer. I Will never be going back to this dental clinic and I highly recommend nobody use this dentist. I should note that the dentist I was seen by was quite blunt and unfriendly. I felt like I was a burden to him the minute I walked in and my different questions I had seemed futile or idiotic which is a horrible way to be with people that are going to spend good money with your business. I feel like it's important to be heard.

Negative experience: Asked for a check up appointment last year and was put on a cancellation list, rang again recently and told it's now a 10 month waiting list for a check up... They recommend a check up every 6 months, but it will be nearly 2 years waiting for an app if I stay as a customer. Super disappointed.

Negative experience: My last experience was a sensory overload nightmare. Construction work was going on next door, and that, combined with the sound of dentistry equipment, only further added to my woes. On top of that, I never felt as if the hygienist was listening to my oral hygiene issues and was more keen on getting me in and out of there. I went to another outstanding hygienist who did a much better job than anything I received here. Perhaps this was a rare experience, given the unanimous praise Eyre Square Dental receives for its dentistry practice. Still, I've known people who've had a fifteen-minute teeth cleaning job here yet received a much more thorough job elsewhere. For the amount of money dentist care involves, and for the praise these guys get, I expected more.

Negative experience: Went in to get my gums looked at earlier in the year because of infection/inflammation, and the dentist gave my teeth a clean and some antibiotics that didn't fix the issue at all. She also said that I should get my wisdom teeth out. She mentioned a procedure that would have them all out in one while I was under general anaesthetic. I told her I wasn't comfortable with that, and she said I should still consider getting them out under local and asked if she could refer me to a specialist. I said as long as it's local anaesthetic. I went for the consultation with the specialist and he suggested general anaesthetic again. I told him I was only okay with local, and he said he could only take the one out. Consultation cost me 200 euro. Then on the day of the procedure, I'm told at the check in desk at the hospital that the HSE were charging me 400 euro for the day. I was only in there for an hour (although I was admittedly a bit late), and he popped the wisdom tooth out no bother and sent me on my way not long after with another 300 euro bill. My gums are still inflamed and causing issues to this day. Almost a thousand euro and five or six months later and issue is still not solved. I had told my dentist that I had just fallen into poverty as well. Horrible experience.

From my experience dentists usually leave you on a need to know basis, I've often gone into places and they've been awfully brusk about giving me the lowdown on whats going on in my mouth. When I went here I was offered input as to what I wanted done, given options with everything explained concisely and made feel at ease by all the staff.

I've had to get quite a bit of work done over the last few months, and he really took the time to explain what was happening, and go through options with me. It is very apparent from the get go that he wants to ensure that his patients are informed so that they can make the best choice for themselves. I recently had to go in for an emergency appointment - Caroline had an appointment for me within 10 mins of calling, and I was totally sorted within 3 hours (including lab work), and the kindness that was shown to me by all of the staff made a stressful situation so much easier. Dr. Flood and his team, go above and beyond every time I'm there and they truly deserve the excellent reputation they have in Galway.

Fantastic experience: My experience of Eyre Square Dental has been more than positive. The personal approach and the individual attention superceded my expectations. I have always been very reluctant ( and that is an understatement) in relation to dental treatments of any kind. However, my experience at Eyre Square dental this year in particular has almost entirely quelled any fears I may have had. I would like to thank Dr. H.M. in particular, who was most professional and thorough in his work. My advice to anybody who embodies any fears whatsoever in relation to any dental procedure is, firstĺy, make an appointment for a consultation. This has the effect of waylaying all fears because it is a gradual approach to a procedure and has the benefit of everything being explained first hand by your dentist who will gladly answer all of your questions. It is essentially a step-by-step approach which helps you to overcome any fear you may have. The staff at reception serve to affirm your confidence by fully engaging with you in a most helpful and friendly way. Another important facet of this practice is the layout of the consultation rooms and surgical procedure rooms, very modern and extremely hygienic. I must emphasise the confidence a patient likes to have in their dentist and after my experience this year with Dr.H.M. I am justified in stating that he has given me a very positive and newly-found confidence in relation to dental care. My experience of the hygienist this year was fantastic. I could not recommend the hygienist enough. Going to the dentist is now routine for me and I must thank Eyre Square Dental for this. Fantastic experience: I've been to many dental practices over the years, but none come close to the professionalism and friendliness of Eyre Square Dental. I visit ESD often as I have braces that require regular adjustment and every visit goes like clockwork. I am very happy to have found ESD for my dental needs.

Fantastic experience: I had to leave work one morning because I was in agony over my wisdom tooth. Knowing I couldn't ignore it any longer! I had to make that dreaded visit to the dentist. As I haven't had a dentist in Galway I just randomly searched some near me and with the highest rating I stumbled upon eyre square dental. I rang in very last minute and was given an appointment for 3pm that day. As I arrived i was very kindly shown to the waiting area were I was given a goodie bag and was offered coffee/water. From the very beginning I knew I was in good hands and all the staff were so kind and friendly. It was most definitely the best dentist visit I've had and that is not something you hear everyday!

Fantastic experience: Like most people I was slightly anxious before going to the dentist and with my first visit to The Eyre Square Dental practise I am delighted to report it was a calming and pleasant experience. Upon arrival I was met with a bright, professional environment where the friendly staff were engaging and made me feel relaxed. I was quickly shown to one of the nine rooms where the doctors assistant discussed the issue at hand. Dr. Fleetwood was warm and welcoming, he had a light bedside manner and kept me informed as we went from the examination, through x-rays and we even had a 3D image taken to help find the troublesome tooth and nerve ending. The problem was identified and dealt with efficiently with the minimum of fuss. I left the building felling that it had been and easy and pleasant experience. I would strongly recommend Eyre Square Dental practise to anyone in the Galway area everything was first class.

Fantastic experience: I think I may have already left a review here for Eyre Square Dental but I am compelled to do so again. I went in this morning for a minor filling (a small cavity had been found on my last clean) and I was pretty scared as it was my first. I had worked myself into a state of nervous tension. Luckily the staff were very pleasant and accommodating, making sure I felt alright and offering me noise cancelling headphones so that I could feel a bit more at ease. I was expecting an hour-long ordeal, but I was done and dusted in under 10 minutes, with no need for a numbing injection. Thank you to the lovely reception staff and the nurses, as well as a special thank you to Dr Hilary Meaney who was so patient with me during the procedure. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

Fantastic experience: I've always hated going to the dentist since a very young age due to having some very bad experiences, but now that I've found this Dental Clinic I'm extremely happy. I was in and out extremely fast, before I even met a dentist they had an xray done, which I've never had any other place do first. They had screens beside the dentist chair to explain what was happening, and were also able to plan what needs to be done in the future. I had a filling done with no pain, I couldn't even feel them in my mouth! This place is extremely clean and professional. As someone that usually hates the dentist, I cant recommend this place enough.

I had a dental implant, which is obviously a nerve wrecking experience, but from the moment i set foot in Eyre Square Dental, i never felt nervous or anxious due to the pleasant and calming atmosphere. The dental care is top drawer and the dentists explain everything that is happening so that you can relax and understand the different processes.

Fantastic experience: One of the best experiences I ever had. Everyone there was super friendly and welcoming! Real professionals. They gave me all the options, acording to my budget and all the information about the next steps i should follow. They fixed my problem with no pain and really quick. Efficent and excellent prices. Fantastic experience: We recently had work done at Eyer Square Clinic and could not recommend them enough. My husband had severe pain in his tooth and we had no choice but to get it seen to. It had been several years since we attended a dentist due to fear but we needn't have worried one bit. As soon as we walked through the doors we were made feel totally comfortable and at ease, while getting a fantastic job done. We would highly recommend this practice to anybody especially if your'e nervous. Wonderful job done by Dr Flood and his team.

Fantastic experience: Eoin has changed my life. I can smile again at 58! When you smile you feel happy. When you feel happy you feel well. Eoin and his caring team were professional and supportive at all times. I previously had a dread and fear of dentists..and yet in their capable hands managed a procedure which involved implants and crowns. I unreservedly recommend Eoin and his team. My only regret is that I did not do it years ago!

Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough about Eyre Square Dental, having had quite a lot of work done over the last few weeks and going in intially with such fear on my first visit but then after I was made feel so comfortable and at ease every single time.
