Fantastic experience: I’m a particularly anxious and fearful patient in respect of dentistry, but right from the start your dentist, Jenny, made me feel comfortable and at ease. She was fully understanding of my fears and explained everything to me with the greatest concern. I felt safe and relaxed as I knew I was in the hands of a genuinely caring person and a thorough and enlightened professional dentist . I have been on two separate visits so far and am growing so much in confidence under this dentist’s care that I would now be happy to have any dental treatment that I required, at Callan Dental. Other staff, receptionists and dental assistants , were equally friendly, engaging and efficient . For Callan Dental I would award Ten out of ten - I recommend most highly.

Appointments are sent via text as reminders and they also send follow ups to check in how you are feeling after the apointment. I feel very looked after.

Fantastic experience: We arrived with urgent situation, our 5 year old was suffering with pain for the weekend and woke up on Monday with big swelling. Receptionist was very nice and found a gap in doctor's schedule when he can see us. Dentist was very patient and gentle, gave us all needed information and did everything he could to sort the pain and aching tooth. We are very happy to choose this clinic for our regular check ups too.

As a man who has suffered from dental phobia since a child due to mismanaged treatment, and painful experiences. When I joined the surgery. The first thing I experienced, that put me at ease, was the friendly welcome from the reception staff. They say that first impressions can either put you off, or put you at ease. Well the reception staff in Callan dental are a wonderful example of professionalism and the importance of good interpersonal skills. Then you get to meet the dental nurses, again, professional but with a friendly demeanour. All which is important to anyone that is 'in fear' of the dentist chair. The treatment that I have received since joining the surgery, has been with Dr.Jennifer Huston a very friendly dental practitioner with an ability to put the you at ease, answers questions about your treatment and explains everything in a way that is understandable. But most importantly, is reassuring for the nervous patient like myself. Therefore, I highly recommend this dental practice.

Negative experience: Rang Callan dental to book in for a check up and clean. I was abruptly asked was I a current patient and when I informed them that I wasn’t the staff members attitude was rude and obnoxious. I’m actually glad I didn’t get an appointment if that’s the way ye treat patients out in your practice. I would not recommend ringing this practice unless you are a current patient. Ye could send your staff on a customer service course
