Fantastic experience: I would like to thank all of the charming and efficient staff at Dundrum Dental Surgery for the success of the implant operation I recently underwent. The process started with Dr. Wilson Grigolli who put me at complete ease right from the start. The confidence I developed in him - initially on account of his impressive track record - turned out to be more than justified. The process was painless and proceed without a hitch. The procedure was completed by Dr. Ray Barrett, another charming and consummate professional. My implant has settled in perfectly. David Burke.

I attended Wilson who was unbelievable from my first appointment as I was extremely nervous due to my hairlip and cleff pallet as over the years treatment has been difficult . Ray and Wilson as a team are amazing, professional and kind. Very understanding and follow up the next day to see how I am . Fantastic experience: I have been attending Dundrum Dental Surgery for 15+ years, Dr. Ray Barrett has been my dentist during this time. I have also had treatment from several of the hygienists and other professionals. The treatment is always second to none, the environment and friendliness of the entire practice team makes visiting the dentist an enjoyable and pleasant experience.

I am a nervous patient and so was hugely grateful that the dentist, Ray and the nurse, Vida were so kind and put me at ease. They explained what they were doing as they went and communicated clearly. Sandra at reception was lovely and made sure to follow up with information on next steps after the appointment. Thank you.

Negative experience: After just seeing the other 1 star reviews on here I now know that my complaint about my recent visit to Dr.Hefferon was justified. I attended a consultation as I knew I needed fillings and I was interested in his holistic background. The entire process was rushed, no seat in the room for the patients while discussing and like others on here I felt like he needed me out of the room asap. I felt I had to tell him my issues first and then he responded rather than him initiating what he has observed. At the reception I was booked in for a future treatment plan. After being rushed out after 10 minutes I presumed this was a normal consultation(€55)but they decided to charge me for the holistic one(€150). The male receptionist was quite rude when I questioned this and when I asked to speak to the Dr. he said you can go down yourself and see if he’s with someone-unprofessional. Of course he had another patient in the room which further proved why my appointment was rushed. After I spoke to him and he said my appointment was 10 mins because I don’t have many problems but some people need 45 minutes. Anyway I paid the fee and left very disappointed, two minutes later I received a call to come back for a refund and that they will remove my future appointments or just leave things how they are. I chose the refund as it was very clear they were unhappy with me raising a genuine query and I felt far from welcome as a new patient. It is clear to see that this practice doesn’t care about these complaints as you can read from the other people in the reviews from the past where most people were unhappy paying a larger amount for a rushed 10 minute ‘holistic’ appointment and they are still doing the same thing to new patients.

The doctor explained everything in a way that was easy for my child to understand, which helped reduce any fear or anxiety. Negative experience: Very expensive and not helpful at all, do not recommend the holistic dentist. They were unprofessional and didn't take the time to explain the procedures or answer my questions. I came in with concerns about a specific issue, but instead of addressing them, I was rushed through the appointment. They charge €150 for a few minutes, money racket.

At every appointment, he did an excellent job to take care of my teeth and he also suggested natural remedies to help them heal. Fantastic experience: The invisalign treatment as provided by Dundrum Dental was excellent. The regular check-ups, welcoming staff, and clear communication made the whole process go smoothly. I'd recommend them.

Negative experience: I called the clinic to book an urgent appointment for my partner explaining how she has been in chronic pain for an over 2 years and after seeing multiple dentists. The person at the reception agreed to give us an appointment for Friday and then advised that my partner calls and give her details to get her on the system. Today, my partner called the clinic and he refused that there was any appointment (even though he said he had put in a placeholder for us for Friday) and said there won’t be availability before March 2025, even though I had explained them the urgency of the situation initially. He then went on saying that the slot he had given us had been given to another patient even though we had already booked it. Very unethical and unprofessional behaviour.

Negative experience: I am in pain and my boyfriend booked an urgent appointment for me at this clinic. The person who booked the appointment suggested thta I call first to give my details before the appointment but when I called, he said there is no appointment and the earliest I can get is in march next year! This is very unprofessional and wrong that you gave an appoitnmet and then later said the appointment is not available.

Fantastic experience: Delightful experience this morning with Hannah, one of their dental hygienists. She was very friendly, thorough, professional, carefully explained everything and gave me very practical advice around how I can improve my brushing/flossing routine. Looking forward to going back in 6 months.

Negative experience: I waited three months for holistic app with Dr Hefferon. He gave me a barrage of things wrong with me & a plan which i didnt understand to the cost of 10k & pushed out the door.Nice receptionist tried to her best to explain it to me & tried to book me in for the treatment plan. I said i would review it upon next appointment with the hygenist. I had another explanation of the plan to which i decided not to go ahead with all the work. I agreed to half the plan for personal cost reasons, which was a normal thing( so i thought). I heard nothing back for two weeks. I called & emailed then I then got a rather strange letter from Dr hefferon stating he will not be carrying out any work on me because i have not consented to his 10k plan. He went on to say i would have to agree to the whole plan or none at all, & that was that. I was refused my work to be done & basically made to feel i did something wrong. Very disapointing treatment by this dentist. I found all this a very strange situation to be in as a patient, after all it is my decision & my body & my money. It seems to be Dr hefferons way or the highway.

Fantastic experience: I had a root canal and crown fitting done recently at Dundrum Dental Surgery and am happy with the treatment I received. The waiting room is decorated with taste. The ladies at the reception are amiable. Reminders were sent before the appointments and follow-up calls after. All the nurses took good care of me during the surgery. The hygienist Ms. Caroline Tobin is so friendly and made the cleaning process not at all daunting. Dr. Joseph Griffin is the best of the best. He answered my questions thoroughly with great patience. His treatment plan is practical and truly in consideration of the needs of the patient. Although I am not the professional, I felt that the surgery was carried out with dedication and trust that I’m in good hands. I’d be confident to recommend him and this clinic to my friends.

Positive experience: Staff are really professional and friendly. Joseph seems to be a great dentist too. So no complaints there. Cost surprised me in a bad way though. I thought it very expensive. €900 for a root canal, I was in for 90 minutes (Feb 2024). Probably should have asked how much before I got it done. Just kind of assumed it would be less than €500. Maybe that’s just an Ireland thing though. In summary, they’ll take good care of you, are very professional and just nice people, but I would advice you to ask for a quote before you get any work done, make sure you’re comfortable with the cost.

Fantastic experience: Amazing customer service. Alice O’Hagan is the best dentist I’ve ever had. Takes care with everything she does and makes the appointment a very relaxing experience, contrary to previous dentists I’ve been to. She also takes the time to explain proper brushing and flossing techniques at the end of the appointments. You can tell she really cares about her patients and does her best. I’m having my best results yet since I started going to her. Also, appointments are always on time. Never have to wait long. I would highly recommend Dundrum Dental Surgery, especially Alice!

Fantastic experience: Dr Heffernan is experienced, highly expert and very gentle in his work. But more than that he is also very sincere, honest and truthful. He spent 15 minutes convincing me not to do aesthetic work on my teeth - most dentists will give you the hard (profitable) sell. He is more concerned with his patient’s well being.

Fantastic experience: Bad experiences at the dentist when I was a child left me dental phobic at the time of first coming to Dundrum Dental a few years ago. But now I can happily say I feel really safe in Dr David Hefferon's highly skilled hands. I have osteoporosis, so it's especially important to have a really good dentist. I had two crowns last year and he was happy to see me a couple of times after to adjust them for free. I've recently had another two crowns and it was my most relaxed and easeful experience yet. I trust him with my TMJ disorder and any holistic advice he gives. They also have really good hygienists here and since I'm coming from Kildare, the receptionists have been helpful in making my next hygiene appointment for just before my next dental checkup so I don't have to make two trips for which I am so grateful. But generally I find the receptionists really hard to deal with . They’re not friendly or helpful

Fantastic experience: I had an Appointment for cleaning with Alice last week. She was really good. She used the ultrasonic as well as the "hand-powered picking tool" (I forgot the name). Which most other Dental Hygienist don't do, they just stick with the ultrasonic for 20 min and it really hurts your head. She also gave me tips on using the mini in between gum brush (again forgetting the name, am non-native). That was a first, I hadn't even known that it exists and it's been great to use since then. TL;DR: Professional, friendly, knowledgeable, competent.

Negative experience: I waited 9 months for a holistic appointment with Dr Heffernon. That is supposed to be 30 mins. However I felt he was trying to get rid of me after 5 minutes. I wasn't even there for 10 minutes and got not information. I told him I had bleeding gums since my daughter was born and he just said hormones. I asked which ones. He said 'all of them'. Nothing on how to address or the root causes. All he said was to visit hygienist and to brush twice a day. Nothing on why this would happen despite multiple questions. No discussion on diet. He is supposed to be a holistic dentist - that means it is about the whole person. But he didn't ask me anything. He didn't mention my receding gums until I did and them he only said it wasn't reversable. I've looked into this since and I believe it is. Such a waste of time and money and definitely not worth the wait. I won't be going back and neither will anyone in my family.

Negative experience: I waited 1 hr and 15 minutes for an appointment. I was asked to wait 15 minutes, then 15 more, then 20 more, then 20 more, and so on and so on. Either they are incapable of gauging how long something will take or they straight up lied to me and kept me around for 1 hr and 15 minutes plus the latest 15 they asked me to wait! Please be more considerate of people's time, I need to go to work. I would have preferred honesty and being asked to come back in an hour and a half.

Fantastic experience: Very satisfied with the care by Joseph (spots issues ahead of time, deals with them, and gives great clarity / guidance), and cleaning by Caroline too. Recommended if looking for dentist for individuals and for family needs too

Fantastic experience: I like the holistic dental approach. My visit today was a check up following a recent crown set onto a back upper tooth. I like that my appointments are always on time and quickly and swiftly dealt with. Even getting the crown was so swiftly done, I never noticed the time. I like that the clinics are kept clean and there are plenty assistants around to help. The fact there is an accessible ground floor room available is a great advantage when needed it. My teeth have completely calmed down and give me virtually no trouble since I began to visit the wonderful hygienists at the Clinic. My gums suffer no stress anymore, their sensitivities are completely diminished. The friendly “can do” attitude of all the staff that puts patient comfort, ease and calm to the forefront of every visit is what makes the experience of Dundrum Dental, my reason to keep returning.

Fantastic experience: My dentist was Paul McDonnell. Excellent dentist. Also, a very pleasant person and although my teeth meant a few visits it was with fairly much no/absolute minimum discomfort. I certainly would 100% recommend him to anyone. Other notable things include: -both the dental assistant and the lady at reception were always efficient and very polite too. -I never had to wait more than a few minutes. I've been to dentists previously where I sat in the waiting room for a long time before each appointment. Again, a sign of good planning and efficiency at Dundrum Dental Surgery. - I received follow-up phone calls the day after each visit -to see how I was. These were appreciated and something I'd never previously experienced when attending a dentist.

Negative experience: I have called this office multiple times to try to schedule an appointment, but no one ever answers the phone. I have left voice messages twice now as prompted by the answering machine, but no one ever called me back. i also left a message through the online messaging, but again, no response. I can’t image being a patient here and never being able to get ahold of anyone.

Negative experience: I recently visited the practise with my two children, we went specifically to see the holistic dentist for an opinion on a few issues. We waited 8 months for this appointment. I was very disappointed that we were so rushed and minimal time was spent talking to me and my children by the dentist. He looked at children mouths and closed them, there was no proper look. I know their teeth are healthy and have no cavities, but there are other things of concern. I had to ask the dentist questions which I knew to ask due to self education. Both kids in and out in 5 min. Then came my turn and it was the same, 5 min look, quick mumble of advice, I did not even have time to ask few other specific questions which I wanted an opinion on and possible treatment on. My check up was done in 5 min @ 120 euro. The dentist seemed completely disinterested and like he just wanted us out of his office asap. I expected more, but really got no expert opinion for which I came. Utterly disappointed by this experience.

Fantastic experience: Great Experience at Dundrum Dental Surgery. Mohammed Hamid was my dentist and he did an amazing job for my check-up/cleaning. He was obviously very skilled and extremely knowledgeable as he answered all my questions with great detail. Couldn't recommend the Surgery and Mohammed Hamid enough. Fantastic experience: I have just concluded my treatment plan. I had put off going to the dentist for a long time. Eventually, I had no choice but to face the facts, and I am really pleased that I got an appointment with Dr Ray Barrett at Dundrum Dental in October 2021. I was immediately impressed with Ray’s professionalism and friendly manner. Ray wants to achieve the very best final outcome for his patients. You feel confident in his care and he communicates brilliantly about the work he is doing. Ray recommended a long-term treatment plan and I was given a written quote at my first visit. The programme of work was intensive and complex and included implant surgery with Dr Wilson Grigolli. I got a follow up phone call the day after each visit and this was very reassuring. I also,have had quarterly visits with Hannah, the Hygienist, and she gives excellent advice about looking after your teeth, as well as cleaning them The anxiety and worry that goes with any dental visit disappears when you realise you have found a good practice and a superb dentist. Overall ,I am very impressed with the people and with the customer service at Dundrum Dental Surgery. Fantastic experience: Aug 2022, Broken dental work found at night, Appointment made for 10.30am next morning. About an hours heavy session of removing 4 broken or poor condition teeth with dentist Josef and assistant. Being major, some recovery time was needed but delighted to have the big problem fully dealt so quickly and efficiently, also allowing a denture be altered to suit the new situation. Many thanks

Negative experience: The treatment in Dundrum dental has always been excellent and I have been going to the practice for over 20 years even before the Sarah Jane and Ray took it over. But unfortunately it is getting impossible to get an appointment. Last year I had a broken tooth and could not get to see anyone for over a week and this year when I tried to make an appointment for a checkup I was offered one slot the end of June when I am not in the country and the next slot is 6 months away. I nearly fell off my chair that after been a loyal customer and spending a lot of money on treatment over the years I cannot have a check up for over 6 months. I do not know if there is now too many patients but if they treat someone who has been with them from the start and goes regularly for checkups and the hygienist this way how are they treating other patients. Very sorry to have the leave but I need a dentist that can see me regularly and not 6 months in the future.

Fantastic experience: I was seen on time on arrival, and found all staff very professional. I found Dr David Heffernan to be very knowledgeable, reassuring and informative, he really took the time to answer any questions I had. He was very reassuring and was genuinely interested in my entire health and not just dental but how its linked with your over all health. For me it was such a hugh relief to meet with him as other we were really on the same dental/health care wave lenght.

My arrival , I was welcomed with a smile by Norma Jean , partner acting receptionist and after a few minutes greeted by Dr. Ray Barrett and his assistant , Daragh I was then brought down to the surgery room , given a pair of glasses and Dr. Barrett. Checked the state of my teeth . Once he had finished , he gave me the all clear and I returned to reception to be given the details of my future appointments and Norma Jean sent Emil reminders to my mobile phone When this was done , we exchanged pleasantries and I left , a truly satisfied customer .

Fantastic experience: It has taken me 56 years to find a dentist that doesn’t terrify me and that dentist is Paul O’Donnell at Dundrum Dental Surgery. Unfortunately I had to have major work done and usually this would have made me run a mile but Paul reassured me that I would feel no pain whatsoever. He was true to his word and put me completely at ease. My teeth have never looked better, can’t stop smiling and wish I had known about the practice years ago. Paul and the rest of team are extremely friendly and professional and I would not hesitate to recommend them!

He gives great attention to detail in relation to my bite after fillings,crowns and implants. He also takes a lot of consideration over colour for implants and crowns , as a result my teeth look great I have attended Caroline,Rosemary and Hannah for oral hygiene.
