Fantastic experience: Such a fab visit to shields dental! I was a bit anxious for my filling esp since it was near the front, but I have to say that it was 100% completely pain free! I've had bad experiences in other dentists with immense pain, even with getting the anaesthetic but I didn't even feel it go in this time!

Negative experience: I was there around 40 minutes waiting to be seen. More patients arrived after me and even them were seen with no explanation to me at all. All the nurses were looking at me and whispering, so disrespectful. I felt uncomfortable and decided to leave the building after claiming the deposit. It's not fair to have that kind of behavior. I strongly recommend avoiding this place.
Hi Karen We are sorry to hear you felt like this at your visit yesterday. There were two dentists working yesterday , and the patients who arrived after you were scheduled to see this dentist, a specialist periodontist. Unfortunately , there was a delay in seeing you , this can happen , given the nature of the work , as sometimesmore time is required to complete as treatment. The staff were speaking quietly to maintain confidentially . Again , aplogies if you felt the staff were speaking about you.

Fantastic experience: Attended Mullingar Dental for the first time as an emergency appointment. The receptionist was efficient and I got an appointment quickly. Dental treatment was second to none and my extraction was super comfortable. I’m considering moving my regular checkups (currently in UK) to this practice as I was so pleased with the care, advice and the way things are organised (online access to payments, medical history and patient policies were all shared prior to my appointment). Fantastic experience: Great dental practice. I'm nervous, hadn't been to a dentist in around 6 years and was worried about being judged or whatever. I checked reviews and decided on this practice based on what people were saying and I wasn't disappointed.

Whilst receiving dental treatment is not a comfortable experience, I felt the team at Mullingar dental centre were very reassuring, explaining every part of the treatment process to me. Positive experience: I visited the dentist in this clinic 2 times. They put 2 fillings, as the previous fillings fell out (I put them in another clinic). I hope they will hold on. In general, basic service. Medical card is not accepted. I did not like that the doctor does not explain how the treatment will be carried out before the treatment. For example, I was given an injection of anesthesia without specifying whether I wanted it.

Most people want anaesthesia and will not consider treatment without it , so as a result, I give it routinely, unless a patient specifically asks not to have it . We will note this now on your records for future reference

Negative experience: TERRIBLE! MONEY MINDED BUSINESS WITH AWFUL RECEPTIONIST I first went to this clinic in 2023 when my filling had come off my tooth. I wanted to take out my tooth and the dentist said she would recommend filling as the tooth was still in good condition. So I agreed and paid €250 for the service. Two weeks later the tooth was in terrible pain and I decided to go back (this dentist was no longer there so I was treated by someone else) on taking out the filling he discovered my tooth was slowly dying because the filling done by the previous dentist was not done properly so there was air and water sipping into the tooth and it was dying slowly so he took out the filling and treated it and started up a root canal procedure I was then told to pay €150 for a service which would have been avoided had the first dentist done their job properly! The tooth was much better after the second dentist so I was happy to call them to book my follow up appointment only to be told I need to pay €950!! to finish up the root canal which they wouldn’t even assure me would be successful To make it worse, the dentist I saw the second time also no longer works here!!! Pure unprofessional…Go at your own risk!

Fantastic experience: Came in for a check up, scale and polish after a good 2 years! Had to cancel and reschedule my appointment short notice as my baby was sick in hospital. Staff was very accommodating and are always pleasant. Brilliant hygienist and does a thorough job and very nice dentist too. Negative experience: I am absolutely disgusted with how I was treated by you personally on the day I arrived. You clearly have no people skills. You had the cheek to ask how much I weigh. I went to a dentist in Enfield oh and guess what they helped me. They have my business now. I will never darken your doorstep again and I have also told my friends not to go near your company. If you had any decency you would pay back the €50.00. I am seriously thinking about writing my experience on Social Media. My advice is to do a course on customer service and beside manner because cleary you have neither.

Positive experience: Have been attending Mullingar Dental in Austin Frier Street for a number of years now. Have had fillings done, extraction and 2 root canals. Every staff member I have had contact with, from the admin, nurses and the dentists themselves have been friendly, polite, professional and helpful. Their calm approach will put you at ease straight away and help any anxiety / fears you may have around attending a dentist. Everything is fully explained to you before any dental work commences. Fantastic experience: I started my Invisalign last March and and now on my final retainers which I wear for three months day and night. The whole experience was easy and straightforward. I was sent a scan over how my teeth would be projected over the 25 retainers which I wore. I have noticed a huge improvement in my overall smile. The staff in Mullingar Dental are extremely professional and informative. I would recommend this dental practice to anyone who is thinking of getting Invisalign.
