Negative experience: One star is too many, my oral, physical and mental health has been destroyed by Dr Nivash Lalloo at navan dental as he purposely unnecessarily told me completely made up information to keep me in his chair for a few quid and I have proof that this happened but it didn’t go the way he thought it would, Dr Nivash knows what he did too as I received a phone call from the practice with himself on the line offering to write a letter to the HSE to have certain work done for free trying to amend this and this work that was offered is never usually done on the medical card and they were his words, Dr Nivash’s made up information and work has led to more damage to other teeth that were healthy which is why I have not taking him up on his offer because it is far from good enough, this is going to cost me thousands now and thousands again in the future and has traumatised me which has put a hold on other dental work needed which has only gotten worse, please stay away from this practice and especially from Dr Nivash Lalloo as I have learned the hard way that the work they offer to medical card patients is so embarrassing that they shouldn’t even take medical card patients and that there are far better dentists out there who offer proper dental care on the medical card and who don’t prioritise keeping you in their chair.

Fantastic experience: Very thorough before doing Pre molar extractions for braces. Took Xray, explained everything, was reassuring. Injecting local anesthetic was no fuss, no pain, talked during to keep calm. Extracted the teeth out in seconds. Very professional. Aftercare explained. Reception staff so friendly.

He is extremely helpful, courteous & advises clearly on options available to patients...I have a fear of needles & and he handles this situation in a very sympathetic manner. Negative experience: Worst dental experience ever!! I had a route canal done that got infected. Had extreme pain and a woke up with a swollen face. I also had a deep clean done that left me with very sensitive teeth for weeks. I have gone to another dentist who treated the infected tooth with such care and treated me so well. This is unfortunately not the only issue I had with Navan Dental. My daughter had braces put in that she wore for 2 years. They extracted 2 teeth that they said were absolutely necessary. She has had constant issues with her teeth since. Only to be told that the extractions were unnecessary, there were many things that they did wrong with her teeth, she would have to have a procedure done and get braces again. Double cost for everything that was done incorrectly!!! Shame on Navan Dental... being friendly does not mean that they are good dentist!!

Fantastic experience: After issues with a previous dentist at Navan Dental refusing an extraction as the tooth was “beyond repair”, I went for a second opinion with Dr Ardghal. He was very patient, confident and he reassured me that the extraction could be carried out. Within a few minutes of explaining my situation I was booked in for the following week to carry out the extraction. I was extremely nervous but the procedure took no more than 10 minutes, and I received so much support from Dr Ardghal and the nurse that was there, Deimante. I’d like to thank all the staff, Dr Ardghal and nurse Deimante for their extreme care and willingness to help in what was previously a difficult situation. I’m now fully healed and can finally eat with this side of my mouth again:)

Fantastic experience: I've been a patient here a number of years now and I can't fault the practice, service, or staff. So much so I told my father in law about the practice as he was attending elsewhere and didn't feel comfortable. He swapped over to navan dental had his treatment and is all the better he did. On a side note this is one of the only practices to accept a medical card.

My mind is kept occupied as they chat away to me which takes my mind off what’s happening~it really works I have recently had a consultation with Dr Tom Cassidy (a gent) I am having some of his brilliant cosmetic dentistry work done in a few weeks~can’t wait~oh and he is hilarious which again puts one at total ease. Negative experience: I am just home from an appointment with David Buchanan, owner of Navan Dental and to say I'm infuriated at the treatment I received today is an understatement. I have been a patient of his for years and have come away the last few times feeling as though all they want to do is grab money off you for various things at each visit. However i have let it go on numerous occasions and continued to go back. Every time I go in for a routine check up and clean I am asked to get an xray (despite not needing one)because its "common practice to get one every 2 years". Of course this is suggested because it costs extra money and is not included in the prsi dental allowance. When I said I wasn't having a dental xray today, it was received with annoyance and a very unprofessional attitude. My teeth were scraped clean and toothpaste was dabbed onto my teeth but they were never brushed. I wasn't even offered mouth wash to rinse the toothpaste out of my mouth and had to ask for it! I'm absolutely appaled to be treated like this especially after I got orthodontic work done here a few years ago as well. Really awful customer service and will not be returning again.

Fantastic experience: Attended an emergency appointment after not being with Navan Dental for many years due to living abroad. I was in pain with a broken filling and I am also pregnant so was nervous going in. Dr. Nivash was so caring and gentle making sure I was comfortable at all times. He did not make me feel bad or guilty about my tooth or dental health which I find a lot of dentists have done in the past and he was so kind explaining what I need done after my pregnancy. I have since recommended many friend's to Dr. Nivash due to how calm and caring he was. The ladies on reception were so efficient and provided me with a full breakdown of the work and costing for future work which is great as something the unexpected costs can be a shock! Thank you again and can't wait to go back!!

I had one recently and went to Navan dental, i will be going again .. i was totally put at ease and even underwent the procedure with out anaesthetic, because the dentist assured me it would be painless .. which it was.

Fantastic experience: Clean, tidy, organised place. First time in the dentist for years and felt real comfortable. There was also a TV above the chair in my dentist room which can calm nerves and distract you if needed. Staff were also really friendly.

Fantastic experience: This is the first time I’ve ever wrote a review but I felt so strongly I had to. I lived in the Uk for 35 years so had many visits to many dentists . After Covid my mouth was in a poor state . I was blessed to be treated by Dr Ardghal MacMahon who explained step by step my treatment. After three visits I had no pain on the treatment days and any days after . Trust me if your nervous or any issues with dental work you got see this guy. He’s amazing and I can’t tell you how professional…. Remember Dr Ardghal MacMahon … trust me…

Fantastic experience: I'm a very nervous dental patient, to the point I've avoided going for years. I recently went for a check up with Dr. Don, followed by a 2nd appointment for 2 fillings and a deep clean on the bottom. I was almost sick going in with the thoughts of it and dreaded the uncomfortable pain that was ahead of me after having the work done but to my surprise, the appointment was amazing, I never felt a thing throughout the work being done I was expecting to be very sore for awhile afterwards during healing but I actually wasn't, was just tender and could eat etc as normal after the work. Have another appointment in the new year and although I'm anxious about it, my previous experience has taken away alot of my anxieties. Would highly recommend Navan Dental especially if you're a nervous patient.

Negative experience: A friend of mine visited navan dental recently and was treated like a piece of dirt by the dentist himself!! Very rude and obnoxious!! Even his assistant looked very shocked by his behaviour! She said she felt very belittled and felt very unwelcome. Not a way to treat patients!. If I was able to give 0 stars I would!

Fantastic experience: My first visit in the navan dental was Great. The dentist gave me a choice of sitting on the chair or standing up to egzamin my teeth which I really appreciated because I am only 7 years old and this was my first visit. Next time I will sit on the chair and I won't be so afraid. I would recommend Navan dental to any kids.
