Negative experience: I have been to this dentist 3 times, shame on me for giving them 3 opportunities to give me bad experiences. My experience has been two mix ups over pricing, long wait times with no update as to why, not seeing the dentist that you specifically booked with and feeble excuses when you ask why. My last experience was particularly awful and I will never go to this dentist again. It seems that they have no regard for customer service or care, they leave you waiting and put you with whom ever is available and rush through your appointment so quickly it makes your head spin, all while charging you a very high price. Take my advice and go somewhere else. I only gave them one star because I had to, they don’t deserve any.

Fantastic experience: Broke a molar on Saturday afternoon. Rang Smile at 6pm for appointment on Sunday at 10.30am. Arrived at 10.20am and unfortunately there was a delay until 11.10am with a previous patient. However, they fixed my cracked tooth quickly and painlessly. Pleasant, professional and efficient. Great team. I couldn't recommend them enough. Bayside shopping center, lots of still free parking, great resteraunt and shopping. All in all a great place to visit.

Fantastic experience: Have only ever been to see Dr Laura Fee, as am a nervous patient and unsuitable for sedation. Laura is quick, efficient, and strikes a really good balance of knowing when to power through and pull back with me. Have had multiple procedures now, including extractions, fillings, and root canals, and have never had any issues during or after. After several bad experiences with other dentists, I'm certainly not the easiest person to have in the chair, so I greatly appreciate Laura's speed and patience. Would highly recommend Laura.

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed with my experience at Smile Hub Dental Clinic in Kilbarrack. I booked an appointment after confirming over the phone that I was eligible for PRSI dental benefits. The receptionist checked and told me I was approved. Based on that, I scheduled a visit expecting to receive the standard PRSI-covered services: a free dental exam and subsidised cleaning/treatment. When I arrived, I completed the necessary forms and was seen by the dentist, who performed an exam — which was professional. However, I was then unexpectedly told to pay €70. No treatment (cleaning, scale, or polish) was carried out — just the exam — yet I was still charged €35 after raising concerns. When I politely requested an explanation and a receipt, a staff member responded aggressively, shouting at me and making false claims that I was “intimidating” staff. This was not only untrue, but deeply upsetting and completely unprofessional. No patient should be treated this way in a healthcare setting. I strongly advise others to confirm everything in writing and approach with caution. A clinic should not operate on misinformation, false accusations, and refusal to provide receipts.

Negative experience: The receptionist was rude and the dentist rushed through my appointment. Complete unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: I was seen fairly quickly in a lot of pain and had to have an emergency tooth extraction. I don't live in the area and had to look them up. It went very well (as well as having a tooth out can be). It was a back tooth with a wisdom tooth fused to it, so two for the price of one. I'm very grateful they were able to see me on a Saturday evening as I wouldn't have been able to wait with that pain until Monday. They explained the problem to me and gave me options. The procedure went very well and I highly recommend them on that basis.

Fantastic experience: Michelle was absolutely fantastic, I couldn't recommend her highly enough. She is very friendly, diligent and gave me a completely pain free filling. She clearly explained what needed to be done and explained what she was doing throughout the process, also regularly checking that I was okay. This was perhaps the best dental experience I've had!

Fantastic experience: I'm very thankful for this emergency dentist woke up with a very painful tooth abscess and within a couple of hours I was numbed up and having it drained. A great service, lovely clinic and staff, so lucky to have this nearby . Thank you

Negative experience: Had an awful experience at this dental clinic. Went in with an infection where my lower wisdom tooth was coming up, and after being seen an hour later than my appointment (while others who walked in ahead of me were being seen to), I was told I needed 8 fillings (at €200 each) as soon as possible. They charged me for an X-ray (€70) and an examination (€50), plus €30 to provide a prescription. On top of that, they tried to get me to agree to a scale and polish without telling me the price in advance- I told them I didn't want this. They then told me they were going to remove the lower tooth without any explanation as to why they would need to and that it would cost €500 to get it done. I told them I didn't want to get it removed for now as I was in the middle of exams on top of working full-time and felt very overwhelmed. I got quite upset at this point and she continued to throw costs at me. I don't normally write reviews of this length but it was honestly an awful experience from start to finish. The only positive was that the receptionist was being as helpful as she could be in getting me seen. I went to another dental clinic today (that was recommended to me by a friend), who was absolutely incredible. He explained to me that the wisdom tooth on the bottom was getting irritated by the one on the top, and that it would be safer to remove the one on the top than the bottom. The exam and the extraction of the upper wisdom tooth only cost me €200 and was a really good experience. I felt very looked after and like he explained things properly. No charge for providing a prescription either. When doing the exam for my teeth, he said there were two places where I could do with getting a filling, but that this was not urgently needed and I can do this any time over the next year. Apart from these two, he said there were no other areas that I would need a filling. I felt no pressure from him at all and it felt like he actually understood that people can't be forking out ridiculous amounts of money for things they don't even need. I realise that this is a very long review but I felt it was important to share. My advice would be to avoid this place at all costs.

Fantastic experience: My son had a baby tooth removed. DR Annie was amazing we got in and out in 5 minutes.

Negative experience: I have debated on whether to bother leaving a review or not. I won’t be attending this clinic ever again and don’t recommend it. I was a patient of Ruth Clarke, who on my initial appointment seemed nice and competent and only a little bit condescending. I found the clinic to be clean and very modern and my prsi clean and check up seemed to be very thorough and I thought this is the dentist for me. Dr Clarke told me I needed 3 fillings but my teeth were in good condition other than that, she just started booking my next appointment for the 3 Fillings until I told her I would only do one filling - it was Xmas week after all and I had enough expense and could wait until January. I then saw a filling started at €190 each I was shocked. In the end I went ahead Xmas week with my 1st filling with Dr Clarke, as I have insurance that would cover half. But €190 is still an extortionate price for a basic filling. Dr Clarke seemed to have lost her friendliness this appointment and in my opinion chose to perform a filling on a tooth that was not a priority. But I was happy to have one filling done, and only two to go. I made a joke that I’d be back in new year for the next 2 and be poor for rest of year. She snapped at me and said it’s 3 more fillings , I was like you said 3 in total and I’ve just got 1. She stared me down and said you need 3 more and it’s 4 you need. She clearly forgot we had stood over my Xray and she had pointed out the 3 teeth that needed a filling on my initial appointment. I remember clearly. I 100% know that’s not what she said and that’s when I realised it’s a place where they rip people off and customer care is not a priority. My search now continues for a dentist who is local and not a rip off with staff that mislead you, even about basic dental procedures ….

Negative experience: Avoid at all costs. Will quote you one number, and then triple it once you've begun the treatment. Took so many emails, phone calls, and 40 days to get my money back. Set me back 1.5 months on my treatment that was needed urgently.

Fantastic experience: Super Dentist Practice. All staff so welcoming and my 3 girls absolutely adore Dr Ruth.

Negative experience: Total scammers. Gave verbal quote to get business and once deposit was paid the quote tripled on paper. Mark Rogers should be ashamed of himself. Laura Fee what a establishment!!!!! Took 40 days for my student daughter to get her deposit back. Keep well clear. Lots of other decent establishments in Dublin!!!!

Negative experience: They filled my teeth but for me It's not good. My front tooth was initially slightly longer, which was visible. The dentist tried to level it out but left it visibly shorter.

Negative experience: Badly run and overpriced, not upfront about the cost of things. I won’t be back. Last time I had to pay full price on my check up because there system was down and they couldn’t check my PPSN this time I tried to ask beforehand about my appointment and they said they couldn’t give me any information and only told me afterward that my PRSI wouldn’t cover the appointment. The last filling I got was rushed and the dentist threw his tools on my chest during the procedure. I’ve given this place a few chances because it’s close, but I’m done it’s really sloppy and has cost me a lot of money.

Fantastic experience: First time going here and really impressed. My partner and my daughter also attended recently too and we both commented how gentle, supportive and calming they were (let's face it, going to the dentist is intimidating). They didn't seem to be trying to push treatments that are not needed (experienced elsewhere) and it feels like a treatment plan you can trust in. Reception staff are super friendly too. All round a great experience.

Negative experience: Very convenient for out of hours appointments. Staff seem disengaged and unmotivated at the front desk. Very expensive and you are encouraged to return for more treatments. Feels like an American model for generating more income. All this aside, in an emergency, it is very good to know it is available.

Negative experience: I have attended this practice for over one year but after my last visit will not return. I got a cleaning with anaesthetic, the assisting nurse on the day was very incompetent and could not even suction leaving me choking after being instructed to do so countless times. This was among other instructions she could not follow from the dentist leaving me feeling on edge and uncomfortable. After the treatment I was clearly shaken up and heavily numbed, I approached the payment desk where I said to staff I might need to step out and transfer funds as the anaesthetic cost more then I expected, I was then told to scan the wall for wifi and that they couldn’t let me leave without full payment but it was “not because they didn’t trust me” I was appalled by this considering the hundreds stroke thousands I have paid to this practice for deep cleanings, tooth extraction, wisdom tooth removal and much more in the past year. My phone then found signal and I could see I had sufficient funds, I showed this to the staff and continued to tap my phone but the machines would not connect, they made sly comments such as the machines had been fine all day, they continued to hand me VOID receipts showing an issue on their end not mine but I still felt like a criminal. The desk member then proceeded to say ‘not to be smart but is your money in a vault’ which is absolutely shocking. I was fully numbed and could not speak for myself making me feel trapped, uncomfortable and like I was going to be stuck here until I could pay my dues. I think this is horrific treatment of a regular customer and could have been easily avoided. 20+ minutes later they decided to let me tap their revolut machine knowing full well I was paying with revolut the whole time and the payment went through immediately. I had often reccomended this dentist after moving to them last year but now I will never do that again nor will I return

Fantastic experience: Had an emergency appointment sunday when I suffered an injury to my front crown, resulting in it falling out a day before an important wedding. The dentist took a through look and straight up told me the tooth wasn't savable and needed out. Given I had this wedding the next day he suggested he could do his best to stick the crown in place only for this purpose. He couldn't guarantee it would last and let me make the decision. I decided to go with it back in and he did a great job. Not only has it lasted the whole wedding it's now Friday morning and I still have it in my mouth while awaiting an appointment to sort this with my local dentist. Every extra day i get I feel happy as my appointment is not until 19/06. Smile hub were friendly from the moment I called. Accommodated me and the whole place was v professional and clean. Would recommend 100%

Negative experience: I’m not one for reviewing, but this was so bad I had to share. I got a wisdom teeth removed there. Was in the clinic for roughly 45 mins, never felt pain like it, as a grown man I can’t remember the last time I cried from pain but as I soon as I left I broke down into tears. I felt everything even though I told them numerous times. Hands down this was the most painful experience of my life. For my other 3 wisdom teeth, I went somewhere else, was there no longer than 25 mins and when the doc said he’s finished I couldn’t believe it, no pain at all. Superb after care and the 3 teeth only cost €500 all in, a lot cheaper than Smile Hub. I wouldn’t recommend getting wisdom tooth removed there to my worst enemy!!! Terrible dental clinic!

Fantastic experience: I had been suffering a lot of discomfort for a few days I couldn't get to see a dentist for a week looked on Google and found Smiles dentist practice in Bayside Dublin. It was late on a Friday night, made a call to them and got a immediate appointment. They were fantastic the dentist explained everything to me and treated me their and then and arranged follow up appointment. Thank you to the dentist that treated me and to the staff at Smiles dentistry. Brilliant. Brendan I had a follow up appointment on Monday 26th May 2025, and again I can't praise this dentist practice enough they are really fantastic. Positive experience: I have seen a few dentists at this practice. All of them have been very friendly, professional and care about my dental needs and I will certainly continue to attend this practice.

Negative experience: I got a root canal done with Laura in July 2023. She was very nice, accommodating and I really appreciated it was done on a Sunday. However, I was disappointed that on the 6 month check she didn’t inform me it was failing. I have now since gone to 2 dentists who both agree it was poorly done. I have had revision treatment on the root canal and feel a lot more confident about my tooth. Although her hours are very accommodating, the work she does wouldn’t be the best.

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency appointment for a broken tooth and I was able to get an appointment quickly. I am a really nervous patient but the nurse was so calm, caring and reassuring that I felt calm. Dr Mark Rogers was my dentist he is very professional but also friendly and caring. He made sure I didn’t feel any pain and the procedure was done really quick.

Fantastic experience: I was still in pain after my own dentist sent me home with just antibiotics. This clinic saw me right away and actually took care of the problem. So grateful for their help and kindness!

Negative experience: This has been one of the most upsetting experiences I’ve ever had with a dental clinic. I came to Smile Hub trusting them with my smile, having previously paid for cosmetic bonding to improve my teeth. After a routine hygiene appointment flagged a possible issue (which I had no symptoms of), I was referred for a filling. I still had no pain — but just days later, I was in agony and told I now needed a root canal. When I questioned how something could go so wrong so quickly, I was met with hostility and dismissiveness. The dentist was extremely rude and made me feel like I was being difficult simply for asking a valid question about my own care. After the root canal, I was devastated to see that my composite bonding was visibly changed or removed, completely altering the smile I had paid for. No one told me this would happen, and when I raised it, I was dismissed and blamed. I was even told I’d have to pay again to fix it. I’ve now had to go to the Dental Council with a formal complaint. The lack of care, compassion, and accountability is truly shocking. I left this clinic crying and ashamed — not something anyone should experience after dental care. Please think twice before putting your trust, your smile, or your money here.

Negative experience: Originally I posted a review stating it was a fantastic service. It seems like this company is a "shake you from the ankles" company. 1500 euro is what I was quoted for RCT and 1200 for a crown. I visited another dentist today and I've been told it would cost 1400 including the crown. Basically it's half the price. I will definitely not be returning to arguably the most expensive dentists in Europe.

Negative experience: Unfortunately a very negative experience. Was waiting over an hour for my appointment, nobody let me know what was happening. After 1 hour I asked what was going on and was told I was next in and it shouldn’t be much longer. No apology or anything. I only received half of my planned treatment because they were stuck for time. I contacted them privately afterwards and didn’t receive anything back. All well and good claiming to be open all year round with loads of hours but not if you're unable to stick to a schedule and have staff capable of an apology and carrying out their job. Won’t be returning.

Negative experience: Very bad service! All about the numbers with no care or respect for their clients time. I was turned away from my first appointment as they had not verified my PRSI number. I returned the following day and was left waiting 1hr 20 mins. I had to leave and was not seen by anyone. One month afterwards the online payment I made has not been returned and I have been told to contact the accounts department.

Positive experience: Excellent service. Comfortable waiting area. Very professional and friendly staff. An appointment system is in operation but can be a small bit hit and miss if you are tight for time. I was there for a 6 monthly checkup today at 12:00 midday. 12:35 when I was called in.

Negative experience: Currently recovering from the trauma of having a tooth extracted at this clinic. The dentist told me to expect a little pinch for the first injection and then a few seconds later, Dr Laura jabbed the second injection in to the roof of my mouth with no notice and huge force. It was beyond excruciating and so terribly upsetting. I’d come back to the clinic after a temporary filling had lasted less than an hour and was told within 10 seconds that the tooth needed to come out. I’d no time to process this news. I’d spent €200 in the first instance, and a further €350 for the extraction with mega trauma included free of charge! My top was destroyed with blood and my face was so badly dragged in every which direction that the skin is torn and bruised. I had to call a family member to help me get home as when I left the surgery, I went into shock. The consent form was put on the chair beside me after the injections had been administered with no time to read what looked like a really detailed document, not that I’d have been able to, as I was still reeling from the horrific second injection and had previously been sent outside to pay prior to the extraction, “to give the injection a few minutes to work”, but really it was to get me to pay upfront for a horrific experience. There was such a lack of care and concern, it was so, so upsetting. I was absolutely railroaded into it. I can’t believe I’d to pay prior to the procedure. Looking back, it’s extremely telling that this is how they operate, as you’ll be in no shape to stand at a counter afterwards and hand over any money. When I take my children to the dentist, the dentist explains what they’re doing and tells them what to expect, every step of the way. This was the opposite. Absolute torture. The dentist was brash, rough and often looked away several times while equipment was still in my mouth. It was so troubling how dismissive and uncaring she was. I was trembling in the chair and told her my face was sore as I was trying to see if my lips were bleeding and she said “ah yeah it would be”. My lips are cut and my cheek is bruised. I wonder does she realize that adults patients have likely been to other dentists and know that her actions are not normal in comparison. It was such a horrible, traumatic, shocking experience. Tooth extractions are awful enough, without the added shock factors thrown in. I’ve unfortunately had a previous extraction done (same tooth on the other side) and the two extractions couldn’t have been more different. I sat in the chair at 9.01pm and was calling my sister at 9.25pm. I was still spitting out pieces of my tooth in the car on the way home, such was the rush to get me out the door, I wasn’t even invited to rinse my mouth out. Really horrendous experience. Please avoid Dr Laura if you don’t like to be absolutely traumatized whilst having your bank account ransacked and don’t believe it when other staff members tell you how skilled she is. She’s skilled in torture and being totally dismissive and condescending. You should also read the staff reviews on Indeed. Constant, high staff turnover tells you everything.

Fantastic experience: Very simple booking process and readily available appointments. Efficient processing on arrival and dental pain was quickly diagnosed by the dentist and remedied. Definitely recommend for urgent dental requirements.

Positive experience: Dentist visits are daunting, but with Smile Hub, you literally come out smiling. Dr Nasir has the most calming demeanour and is knowledgeable, giving great tips on maintaining teeth and gum health. Best part is they open late so one can come in straight from work.
